Learning how to skatebaord :D Posted Thursday February 22 2007, 8:07 pm
Ok just suddenly i developed a taste for skateboarding. i dunno i think its fun and cool but the problem is i cant skateboard at all. i can barely keep my balance and barely ride it. i was wondering if theres a site that can teach u everything or the basics or REALLY basic ones like positions, riding, stopping, and stuff. and one more thing, is it possible to accomplish somethin by not thinking about something bad thats gonna happen like for example since im learning how to ride a skateboard and when i think i am gonna fall off i do but when i do think of myself just glideing for a few seconds, it happens! heh im starting to get more active now the next thing i wanna do is develop my own fighting style and learn how to do flips and run up wal...

Horse-Back Riding Posted Wednesday February 21 2007, 4:16 pm
What does it mean to break a horse? I know that my friend rode my other friends horse, and now that horse is "broken". What does this mean?
PS: The horse is around 10 years old and was already trained and a good horse...but after he got "broke" he got a little slower and brattier.

New at snowboarding Posted Monday February 19 2007, 8:12 pm
Yesterday I went snowboarding for the first time, and I had an instructor give me a lesson. (I have skiied before, only 2 times but I picked up on it well and was on the intermediate slopes with ease.) I really don't think the lesson helped... I didn't understand what the instructor tried to teach me so I just went down the bunny slopes a lot in hopes of figuring out what he tried to teach. It's so hard! Now I look back at skiing and it seems like nothing. But I want to get better at this. I've been called a natural athlete, and I think I actually did get the hang of snowboarding by the end of the day, but I kept falling in fear of hitting people. The season for me will end on March 31, and I should be able to go almost every weekend...

it does to me!
well i know that theres this stuff called "tuf skin" and its for gymnasts to make their leotards not rid up... is there anything like that for spandex?
if not... what can i do to prevent my spandex from riding up?

one of my friends (who plays volleyball) told me that she doens't wear underwear under her spandex and she just wears a panyliner.. unless she has her period.

Snowboarding Posted Thursday February 15 2007, 11:37 pm
It's very possible I am snowboarding this weekend. I've gone skiing before, only twice, but I picked it up pretty well. Not skiing black diamonds yet, but I'm doing decently well on the intermediate slopes. I heard it was easier to learn how to ski before snowboarding so I hope that's true? But I think I will be getting a lesson from an instructor at the mountain for snowboarding... I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for someone who is new to this? Thanks!

I went through high school never joining any sports teams because I was scared about my heart. (It works a little more than the average person's heart and I get tired a lot faster.) Now that I graduated and I'm starting community college, I'd like to play for my school. The problem is, I haven't played in years and don't think I could make the team. (But I plan to try anyway) Incase I don't make it, is there any other place or association I could play soccer or volleyball for? I don't want to play just in my free time, I want to be apart of an actual team. Thank you!

Skiing and snowboarding Posted Wednesday February 7 2007, 5:40 pm
Alright, so last weekend I went skiing for the first time with my dad and sister. I picked up on it pretty well, I had a lesson and the instructor said I was a natural. It took me a while to finally get down a not-so-steep hill without falling, but I was going side to side the whole time and stopping occaisonally. I was so scared to just go straight down for fear of stopping too late and having some crazy wipe out. I'm going again this weekend with my friend and our dads probably, and she has skiied before but not a lot. She is just as scared as me about going straight down... so is there any thing you can tell us to help out with that or at least make it not so scary lol. Also, I really want to learn to snowboard this winter, and the...

sleepover on the same day as something else Posted Wednesday February 7 2007, 5:31 pm
Ok well I have soccer tournaments every other weekend... well this weekend I dont have it, so my friends and I made plans to sleepover from Fri. to Sat.
Well the coach for another team asked me to help her team because they dont have a goalie (i'm a goalie) but really each player on her team practices being a goalie.... she's just using me because her players arn't good at being goalie.
Well anyways, I told her I had plans and that I was thinking about it.... and i told my dad and he says I should help her team out. I keep convincing my dad that I don't want to and that she has other players... but he keeps telling me it's not going to be that bad and that I can handle it.
but you see....

too late? Posted Saturday February 3 2007, 8:22 pm
Is 10th-11th grade too late to start cheerleading? (for my high school..jv)? I never had the oppurtinity in gradeschool & I don't tumble. I was with some of my new friends (I just moved) & one is a cheerleader & one is a dancer. They saw my flexibility & asked me if I was a cheerleader & later said that I should be one. It got me thinking because I think it'd be cool but I don't know if I should go for it. I'm loud, average body. Thanks in advanced.
