Pre pointe readiness need to know by 9/12

Posted Wednesday September 5 2012, 8:35 pm

17/f
-hi guys ! So I'm all bubbly and excited cause the director at my new dance school is deciding to let me have a trial pre pointe class. It has always been a dream of mine to do pointe and this the first step. I was looking for advice on what extra things I could do to prepare for this test. ! I'm a thick girl, 5 feet tall 125 pounds which is a healthy weight. I've done soft ballet for 6 years. I jog and excercise everyday but I don't think I'll be as flexible as other girls.
Please help me. !

Should I quit field hockey?

Posted Monday July 23 2012, 9:43 am

I have played field hockey since 2nd grade and I am now a junior and the starting varsity goalie since last year. I like the sport and I have worked really hard to have this position but its really stressful being the goalie and I dread going to practices and games, its not really fun anymore. I know I only have 2 more years and I feel like I should just finish it out and my coach is awesome and will make it very hard for me to quit. I don't want to quit and then miss playing and regret the decision. Please help!

Help on cheer captain essay conclusions

Posted Tuesday June 19 2012, 1:45 am

I've written a well thought out essay on why I want to be cheer captain. But I'm stuck on the conclusion! I've put in my essay my good communication skills, responsibility and maturity, how I'm a good role model, fairness and impartiality, how I'm approachable, and how I can delegate with being bossy. Please help! I want to be captain so bad.

Running causing spider veins??

Posted Sunday May 13 2012, 7:48 pm

24/f
Okay, I'm an avid runner. I used to run in Asics, but I fell in love with Vibrams Five Fingers shoes and haven't switched back. Since I got them and worked up to being able to run in them, I've noticed a definite increase in strength, muscle-cuts, and general ability in my legs. That being said, I'm only up to running about 2 miles every other day. I try to be healthy, but I often find myself burning more calories than I'm consuming. I don't know if that has anything to do with... uh, anything.
But onto my actual question.
On the outside of my calves (both of them now, actually), I have a few spider veins... they're very thin, very small, and very close to the surface of my skin, it appears. I had a couple before I...

Track and field... =/

Posted Thursday May 10 2012, 8:29 pm

Ok so today we did track and field and last year I got 1st and 2nd in every event but this year I had some dissapointment =( I placed in every event I did but sadly I wont be going to reginals unless this one girl drops out in long jump. I got 2nd in high jump (doesnt go to reginals because only 1st does) and I got 3rd in long jump (only need 1st or 2nd to drop out) and 4th in ball throw (I sucked this year because there were new girls) and more but how do I convince the one girl that she should drop out in long jump, she said she might. All she said she wanted to go for was the sprints which she'll be going for but how can I convince her to drop out of long jump? Help?

being the best?

Posted Monday April 9 2012, 7:18 am

I play a sport for my university. I really love this sport, and honestly i have thought about what it would be like without this sport in my life, and its just a blank image in my head.

The problem? This one girl on my team that is just really annoying and always has to get everything she wants. She always sucks up to the coach (very annoying), and she can be a bitch to the rest of the team. Call me jealous, but I know sometimes she goes to the gym to practice at like 6am..

I know this sounds insanely jealous, but I really want to beat her. Last season she got to play all the time, and I never got to play in the games. All throughout high school I never got to play in any games either.. so...

best horses for jumping

Posted Wednesday February 22 2012, 12:30 pm

I want to learn how to jump horses but I don't know which is the best jumping horse?

I have seen horses jumping on T.V. and at the local rodeo, and I don't want to sound ignorant, but except for the color and how tall they are, they all look the same to me! :-(

I know NOTHING about horse breeds or what the best breed of horse for jumping might be, so can any of you point me in the right direction and tell me what I need to know?

Do any of you own any of these, or know of a special place that has jumping horses for sale?

Thank you!
