A question about diet and losing weight the unhealthy way (no lectures pls)

Posted Wednesday July 17 2013, 6:34 am

how much weight would I lose if I didn't eat for a week? (not saying I am planning on doing it so please don't give me lectures) I am actually just wondering because people always tend to say that you wont lose much and gain everything back and more afterwards. But this never happened to me. I was a little overweight for a while and lost around 20 pounds by not eating. I weighed around 132 lbs (I'm not very tall) And that was a year ago and I still didn't gain anything back. I don't really exercise either. (I know it's unhealthy, as I said please don't give me lectures) .. so why is it that I didn't gain it all back? I have changed the way I eat though, I eat normally now, before that I used to eat more than I should so maybe that's the rea...

What happens after you cheat on your low-carb diet?

Posted Friday June 7 2013, 8:31 pm

So, I had a moment of weakness. There's this bag of marshmallows my family left in the cupboard that had been taunting me, and 3 marshmallows later here we are. Anyway, I've been on this low-carb diet for a solid month now, and have been losing a lot of weight. I wanna know what effect this cheat day has on my body. Does it stop the whole weight loss process? Does it all start over? Will I stop losing weight? If so, how long will it take to get the ball rolling again? I have a goal date, and don't want this ONE day to screw everything up. Thanks for reading!!

Posted Sunday May 12 2013, 9:19 pm

Fruit makes me feel really sick for some reason. Maybe its the chemicals they use or something. In any case I would like to switch to eating more organic lentils, and vegetables. I dont seem to be having any trouble consuming animal products so ill stick with them for now.

Why is a low BMI dangerous if you aren't starving yourself?

Posted Friday April 12 2013, 11:14 am

I was reading online that if your BMI is "dangerously" low your organs could fail and it's deadly. My BMI is 16.3 but I'm just skinny. I eat 6-7 small meals a day so I don't get hungry. I literally eat every 3 hours. How is that dangerous? And why would your organs fail or why would you die if you aren't starving yourself?

How do I transform my diet?

Posted Wednesday March 6 2013, 1:08 am

I'm a sophomore in college, living on my own. I have a really hard time making myself eat healthy. I've always been the kind of person who LOVES junk food. Sugar, fried stuff, you name it. I'm 5'3" and only 100lbs, so I'm very tiny and have never had a problem with my weight. I KNOW I can't possibly be healthy though. I work at a restaurant that sells stuff like cheeseburgers, fried chicken, french fries, etc. and I work about 60 hours a week, so most of my meals come from there. And since I work so much and go to school, I don't really feel like cooking healthy dinners when I have time to relax, so I end up getting fast food.

I eat pretty much every meal from a restaurant. It's expensive and I'm star...

Juicing fruits or veggies?

Posted Monday January 7 2013, 5:32 pm

Hello, I am an 18 year old female and an avid Nikki Phillippi watcher on youtube. That's important because on her vlog channel, she talks about how she and her husband had started juicing. She makes a big glass every night and drinks half and then has the other half in the morning. I believe her drinks are pretty much the same everyday, kale, lemons, apples, celery, carrots, that kinda thing. Now, my New Years resolution, partially thanks to Nikki, is to eat more fruit and veggies. I am a freshman in college, so I especially want to do it so that "freshman 15" doesn't happen. I juiced today and made carrots, apples and celery. I, particularly, wouldn't make it again but I did finish the glass because I knew that it would benefit ...

Urgent! does this fix receding gums?!

Posted Thursday September 13 2012, 9:42 am

(I don't know if this is the right category!)
Anyway, onto the question!

I have terrible receding gums in my bottom 2 front teeth, I go to the dentist every 6 months but I'm on the NHS so I don't feel like they'd go out of their way for me. I've been terrified of loosing these teeth for the past year and bought an electric toothbrush and started flossing and using mouthwash but it hasn't really helped (though the rest of my teeth have improved loads the gums on those 2 is too damn stubborn!)

Anyway, I've been reading around and discovered "oil pulling" where you swish sunflower (or something else) oil for 20-30 minutes and it supposedly gets rid of all the bacteria in the pockets and stimulate...
