Birds

Hi, I'm 13 and I have alot of pets. I have 2 dogs, a turtle, and 2 birds. I love all of my pets too. This morning one of my birds died. It was really sad for me. Now, I feel even worse for the other bird because it lost its only friend. I think it will die of loneliness. I am really sad and if anyone could help me out thank you very much.

okay well my cats around 6/7 years old.
i think around a year ago we started get stray cats, so my family would catch them, fix them so they wouldn't have babies, then release them. anyways, my cat, would always sit by the window, watching them. when we feed her in the morning she runs straight back to the window, she doesn't even bother to eat much anymore. shes gotten very bad skin now, and constantly over licks herself. her skin would start breaking out from stress of other cats. [shes an indoor cat] we went to the vet to see about it, awhile ago and they gave us medicine but we couldn't give it to her correctly because we had to basically squirt it in her mouth and she refused it. we dont have the money to see the vet...

Worms in cats.

I just found out my cat has worms. I know my dad is going to Petsmart today to get some stuff so she can throw them all up.
But where did she get them? What do they do to her? What can we do to prevent it from happening again?

Snakes

i really want a snake. i love love love animals.
what kind of snake is best for me and if you have tips that would be great.
im going to wait like a month or two to make sure i really want it so i won't buy one and like not want it a month later. but what kind should i get.
i want one that ....
-doesn't get very big. preferably under two feet. and will stay that way.
-has a good temperament (doesn't bite & friendly)
-semi-easy to take care of.
-i won't have to feed mice. something i can feed worms/guppies/small fish/or bugs.
please only answer if you have had snake experiences (IE. you have/had one/friend has one/work at a pet store, etc.)

i see tv/movies where the owners just let the dog eat off their plate. isnt that bad?

Ok so we are taking care of a dog (2 years old, Coon/basset hound mix...) She was abused and was always kept outside, been on the streets for a while, and was negleted. So now she is used to Peeing/pooping when and where she wants. We can't have this and my mom said that if she doesn't improve in her potty training, by THIS WEDNESDAY,then we're sending her back to the Animal Protective League. She pees/poops in the house about 3 times per day together.
We can't smack her when she pees all we can do is yell at her...but she still does it when she wants later, even if she was just outside. So should I use a water spray bottle and spray her when she does it and tell her no? Can I flick her on the nose? You've just got to rememb...

i got my kitten like 1 month ago. when she first got to my house everything was fine till like a week ago. ever since then shes been so aggresive i cant pet her she starts biting me and scratching me. i cnat play with her or anything. i cant call her because she wont listen to me. i dont know why shes ike that with me im so nice to her. so my teacher told me that its becuase she got taken away from her mom too early and she wasnt tought what she had to be tought. so how can i teach her? how can i show her i love her if i cant even get near her or pet her? what should i do?

well i have a twin sister and our parents told us we could each get a dog. she really wants to model herself after paris hilton so she wants one of those small yippy dogs. but the truth is i cant stand those dogs and i would hate to have it in our room yipping the whole night away! i want to ask her for another choice but i dontknow how to break it to her since we both really care abou the others feelings and she could take it two ways- one, be all defensive, ending in a big fight or two, get upset that she feels were growing up and growing apart. help?!

so about 2 weeks ago I saw a dog walking down the street at about 2:30 in the morning. I went over to see her, and realized that she was REALLY REALLY skinny. So me my mom and dad gave her a bunch of food and water, she ate and drank it all. The next day the Animal Protective league Came to get her to give her any medication ect. she needed to get her better. They said she was 2years old and had been on the streets for a while. They also said she was an abused dog. They could tell by the way she was acting around people. But she is a VERY sweet dog. They told us she was a mix between a Coon dog and a Basset hound.
They said that we could be her ( my dad named her sara) foster family, meaning we ...

dog problems

I have a 2 1/2 year old wire fox terrier.
Lately he's been scratching his face a lot, especially around his eyes and snout, until the skin turns red and sometimes starts to bleed. I have no idea why he does this or what to do to make him stop. He doesn't have fleas and it's not allergies because hes received allergy shots, and also takes allergy pills once a week. My mom thought it could be that his hair was getting too long, but we took him for a haircut and he still does it. Does anyone have an idea why he does this?

a pitbull in the state of massachusetts.

okay, well my neighbor saved 13 puppies from a kill shelter in georgia all from different litters and we live in massachusetts. the puppy we were going to get is a mix. we're not sure but he looks like a pitbull and a mix of something else. we've had him over so i could play with him quite a few times and he was great. we had my moms boyfriend's 7 year old boy, and 9 or 10 year old boy over too and they played great with him. we dont own the dog yet but the insurence company called and told us that no one is permitted to have a pitbull in the state of massachusetts. and if we were to get him and he bit someone and they sued us, our house and everything would get taken away. but thats like stereotyping the dog. i know people th at have pitbu...

mama kitty needs help!

2 weeks ago i picked up a box of 7 kittens and a mama cat that were on the side of the road. 4 of them looked to be about 5 weeks old and the other 3 looked like they were from an earlier litter of kittens theyre about 3 months. they were fine just a little scared and malnourished and they're coming along great now.
im worried about the mama kitty. she is nursing the younger kittens and i think she was pregnant when i brought them home but im not sure. maybe shes just getting fatter now that shes being fed?
how do you tell is shes pregnant and what do i feed her and how do i take care of her if she is?
shes a tiny cat but its her stomach thats getting bigger it seems to me.
any help would be great

i got a new fish (tropical) and its looks like an eel slash worm... i forget the name but anyway it is really fast and it swims around the tank non stop like i mean speedy gonzales! i think it has to keep swimming to breath or something i dont know but the point is i want to call it something to do with how fast it is and something to do with its speed... what can i call it? im up for anything... put as many suggestions as you like but not speedy thanx xx sal

Dog Tracks

Okay.. when a dog that run for a dog track gets hurt, gets old, or doesn't win and they send the dogs away to be killed why doesn't someone stop them? Like theres just these huge vans that take the dogs into the middle of the woods or soemthing and kill them.. I know people who fallow them and when they turn into a gas station they ask to take some dogs and they let them!! thank godd... How do I help?
