Volleyball help Posted Thursday March 8 2007, 7:07 pm
I'm a setter for my volleyball team, I'm in the starting six but recently I jammed my finger. Since it its bruised and swollen, my coach will not let me set until its better to prevent anymore damage to it. However, now I have to pass every ball I receive. My passing is decent, and I never knew coach had a problem with it, she never criticized me on it. Well, my dad (he coaches the team below us) has told me that both my coaches are threatening to take me out of the starting six because my passing isn't doing so well!
They never gave me a heads up, or much less hinted it. I'm working on getting my passing better, but I was curious if you had any tricks that might make it more consistent. I'm scared I'm going to lose my position, what can I do to improve my passing? Thanks!

this is for all you archers, ok 14/f started archery like 4 months ago maybe longer, anyway, i have about 5 arrows that i use, i dont shoot game, just like the sport i have a red foam target i bought fomr bass pro, but i was wondering, do i need to change my arrows , is there a certain number of times that an arrow can be used or a sign that it should be thrown away none of my arrows are broken but i just need to know

I am starting track tomorrow with my school. We have to run two miles every day after school, which I am not used to at all. After running like this, is warm or cold better for your feet/legs? Also, I'm very thin because of my genes, so I really don't want it to be a low fat one, but does anyone know of a good HEALTHY diet(snacks, supplements, etc.) for someone who does track?

K, so I'm doing the softball team for my high school this year-everyone makes it, so I'm guaranteed to be on the team. Anyways, my friend just told me that it's FASTPITCH softball. I'm used to slow pitch, and I'm not even so good at that. What are some ways to make me better? The scrimmages start on March 22..
I really want to do this without getting made fun of-there's tons of juniors and seniors. And, I'm not really so good under pressure.
PLEASE HELP. *I GOOGLED IT, SO DONT TELL ME TO DO THAT!

i need to find the easiest way to lern a back handspring..I don't know what i am doing wrong but every time i try to do the move i ent just doing a fancy fowards roll...i never land on my feet! also, help with a sumersault would be nice..any advice on this matter is welcome!

i've been on pointe for about 3 months now- and I have these REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY excruciatingly bad blisters on my toes. And whenever I roll from 3/4 to full pointe they start bleeding more. I always put band-aids and neosporin (sp?) on them, but it doesn't help.
How can I get them to not hurt when i do pointe?

Hi, im a skate marshal and i skate about 6 times a week, i want to spend about 300 - 400 pounds on new ice hockey skates (currently skating on nike flexlite 2s) I want ones that will last long, are light and look good, also comfort would be good. Some skates ive seen are:
nike flexlite 12s
nike bauer supreme 190s (too expensive 500 quid lol)
nike bauer supreme 70s (cnt find price on em?)
bauer vapor XX (cant get cos mates got em)
bauer vapor XXX (like bt not sure if good???)
ccm V10s (dnt like the look of much)
so if any1 is experienced with ice skates could please tell me which ones would be good for me to get out of them lot or tell me some other ones which are similair price?

so im playing lax later tonight... i was going to take some advil so i wont get sore during practice. is this good, because i know we'll be doing stairs and i dont want my thighs to get too bad, even though they are in greeaattt shape!
but is there any bad things to advil? like will it made you tired

I need help ASAP!!!! My track meet begins at 5:30, and my hamstrings are really bothering. I had shorts on becasue it was sort of warm, but my coach told me to put on some long pants. I now have them on, what eles can I do to get them right, they feel tight. pLEASE Help! thank u in advance.

heyy! i'm a gymnast but i have this problem on bars, it seems that everytime i'm going to do my routine (kip, switch kip, birdie, straddleback, kip, birdie, kip, cast handstand, giant, giant, layout flyaway) my chalk comes off and the bar becomes very slippery after my straddleback. i've slipped off the bar on my giants before becasue of this.. i just a lot of chalk & water.. does anyone have any suggestions as to how to chalk my grips so it doesn't feel slippery? oh and does anyone know where to buy that butt glue stuff? the stuff that makes your leo stick so you don't get wedgies? haha thanks!

im 16/f. i used to be a cheerleader a long time ago. i realized that was one of the only things to make me happy and i want to start doing it again, but i have no flexability and i'm pretty out of shape. what are some things i can do to get back into shape before basketball or football cheerleading tryouts? thanks in advance =]

i have just turned 15 and im a male, right i am 172 cm and 56 kg i have been doing sprinting my whole life i am white aswel i currently set 12.81 seconds in 100m sprint i also set 6.24m in long jump i need to know how good these scores are please anyone experienced help me out and if anyone has any tips please say

Please help, my period came on today, and my first track meet is on Wednesday. It is possible that it might still be on. If it is, will it be uncomfortable, what will it feel like? Just PLEASE GIVE ME SUM past experiences. Please
