I have a friend named Tara. Shes in 12th grade, graduating this year, and going to college for Theater.. I've been quite worried about her lately, because i know that she cant have her whole life rely on Theater. She wasted her past 6 years working to be an actress. And shes not all that bad, but someone from a small town and such like ours, prolly wont get very far. I've tryed talking to her about other options. I dont want her whole life to be thrown out the window because of some, un-realistic dream.. Do you think that I should try harder to convince her that theres more to life than thearter.. and thats just there as something to do on the side? Or should I let her make her own mistakes?

Does anyone have good ideas of a play that would be interesting to girls and boys that only involves about 3-8 characters and not that many boys. Anything appropiate for all ages and some character names and the plot of the story and if you leave your email address i will send you a tape of it over email and also the script. Also if you think of any good songs that would be a good inspiration please tell me!!!!!! THanx I rate really high!!!!

so i tried out for my first musical, actually my first anything, and i found out from some people that i was not a good singer at all. i think it was cause i was really nervous but i mostly think its just cause i dont sing good.well i always wnated to get a careerer in acting and theater like that. i just want advice/ your opinions about if i could still pursue my dream to be famous in theater even if i do sing horribly. because that same friend told me that i was amazing at acting. thanks!

I'm trying out for the play The Sound of Music, and I'm going for the part of Leisel(the oldest VonTrapp child) For the audition, I must sing. What I need is the sheet music(piano)to bring with me. Does anyone know where I can get that online for the song "Sixteen Going On Seventeen" ?

ok well i have FINALLY narrowed it down to 3 songs to sing for my musical audition. my options are "At Last" (by Etta James) "Killing Me Softly With his song", or "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes," from Cinderella. Which do you think would be the best song choice? please let me know! I really want to do good on this and get a good part! thank you very much and i rate!

*On New Years im going over a friends and I was wondering what you thought about The Dukes of Hazards ( with Jessica Simpson).
*Rate on a scale from 1-10 .
*Something else you can help me with is if you can name some really really good movie title that you can rent. It has to be something scary funny and new.

monologues

does any one know a good monologue from a play (not just a published book of monologues) that is appropiate for a girl somewhere between 15-18? i want it 1930s or later - nothing from shakespeare. i would probably like a way to obtain a copy of the play as well, but i don't want to buy play scripts without first knowing if there are any good monologues for me in it! any suggestions would be great, thanks!

Audition

Oh. My. Fucking. God. I'm going to an audition for the musical "Phantom" by Maury Yeston and Arthur Kopit (NOT the opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber!) and so to get into the whole Phantom the Opera theme, I chose the song "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" from the Andrew Lloyd Webber version. I got it down, but the thing is, I don't know what to do about my body. What should I do with it? I know I can't just stand there. Movement just doesn't come naturally for me.

Home school talent show.

ok well every January our home school group has a talent show. We have bout 130 people in the group and thier are alot of families that particapate in it. see, i dont really have a talent?!?!? i mean i play piano but so does everybody else! and my family AND my friends all same i am really funny so i thought, stand up comedy? no, what if nobody laughs?!?!? so...singing? (I am a good singer.) but wait, no, what if i hit the wrong note or something? well u get the point, what should i do? anybody got any ideas??? i have no clue so tips would be great...please dont say anything sarcastic like farting through your under arm, i am seriously in need of advice. ok so im doing my first audtition ever for a musical in school. i have to sing a portion of a song thats pretty medium paced. also i have to sing "do re mi fa... etc" do you have any tips that will help me do a better audition? oh yeah also i have to do a little speaking.. like not singing.

I'm auditioning for the music man looking for the part of Marianne (sp?).I have been lines and two songs to memorize. The only problem is I don't know how the music goes. I have seen the movie once or twice but I can't seem to remember how the two songs I need to sing are played. Does anyone know a site where I can listen to the music? Thank you.
