Should I quit?

Posted Monday March 19 2007, 6:48 pm

I started playing volleyball and im on the team now. My friend (P) made it too and she's with 1 of her best friends. All the other girls on there I really dont even know them...and the problem is they are not friendly. They are nice and friendly to my friend (P) but not me. Im nice to them but alls they do is completely "ignore" me. Its very ah-nnoying. And everytime I go to practice I feel like a loser because not only are they not even talking to me my friend (P), she is getting all the attention because shes so sweet and shes totally leaving me out of it. So I feel like a pathetic loser now everyime I go to practice. Its Like everyone hates me. I love volley ball but I hate everyone on the team. What Should I do about this? Should I quit?

soccer girl needs to train.

Posted Sunday March 18 2007, 3:18 pm

i may not be able to do soccer this year.. or if i will i want to train. what are some things i can work on? i have a soccer ball.. and sometimes i dribble around the house but outside is snowy, and even later theres not much open space for me to practice because our park has hills and my backyard is mostly forrest. whatare the skills i need to get? im a 13 year old girl, and i've played 3 seasons of soccer in recreation. im good at running, but i think i need more stamina. how can i pace myself when running around the neighborhood? so i dont run too little or too much and i can improve? like how many days do i need to run and etc? also what are some other things i could do so im in the best condition for soccer? thankyou.

what red hot chili peppers song might this be

Posted Wednesday March 14 2007, 8:52 pm

for my poms tryouts, the kick line song is some song by red hot chili peppers. but the girl teaching it to us forgot the title. i know it is like impossible for any of you to tell me what that song is, but im pretty sure its somewhat new (like probably their most recent album). anyone know of a song that is fast paced that would maybe match the tempo of a kickline? please just tell me any songs you think would work! thanks.

how do you do double spins?

Posted Monday March 12 2007, 4:59 pm

For the dance team at my school we have to learn double spins, working on triple spins. I think its just where you spin in a circle on like your left foot, and while spinning, your right leg is bent and you put your right foot on your left knee. Sorry if that's confusing. So my question is, is that how you do them? And are your arms supposed to be at your side, out to the side, or in? Please just explain to me everything you know about double spins! Also, if that is how it is supposed to be done, I cant do it! I can spin around one time but then I lose my balance what should I do about that? Please help me! It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

splits for poms tryouts!

Posted Monday March 12 2007, 4:47 pm

I am trying out for the Poms team at my school. Tryouts are on Saturday, March 17th. There are tryout clinics the 14th, 15th, and 16th. Those are just to learn what is expected at tryouts. Anyways, I have to have my right and left splits down for one of the requirements, but it turns out they check your splits on the 14th instead of the actual tryout day, which I wasn't aware of until yesterday. I am extremely close, and I can go all the way down, but my back knee is kind of bent. I want to make the team so bad! Any advice on how to get better at my splits in a short time? I stretch a lot and try to go further every day. Please help!!! Thanks so much! I honestly would love to hear anything at all that you think might help :]
