Should I visit my mother in jail?

my mother is going to jail for six months for forgery related charges. I am handling the situation fine because she will be back and her visit to jail might make her go easier on me now. Even though it is only six months, My dad asked if I want to visit her sometime because he said she would appreciate a visit and it could be interesting and an "educational experience" (What does that mean? Please give your opinion on that)
also, my dad said I still have to listen to my mother when she gets out. I don't understand how he can do this. I mean like I said I don't hate my mom or anything and had a good relationship with her but now that she is a criminal, her telling what to do might be hypocriti...

My mother is going to jail for six months for a financial crime. Instead of being scared or anything I can't help but feel a little excited maybe is the word about my mom being in jail. Not in a malicious type of way but more in a teasing type of way. Not because I hate her or dislike her. On the contrary I had a good relationship with her but I definitely find it kind of funny that my mom is in the punishment situation now and is taking orders from others and it might give her a different perspective on certain things. Also because I know she is coming back in six months (not very long) and is not going away from forever or for years and years.
Also the fact having her gone for six months will give more freedom. I guess it is kind ...

Hi, I am a fourteen year old girl. My parents are divorced and have been since I was six years old. I love them both very much and I really appreciate everything they have done for me, I am truly blessed to have them in my life. They are so supportive of me but.. Hiii.... I'm 14 yrs old F... So let's start. In 2009 my dad died of cancer. It was very drimatic for me. It was so bad I had to go to a doktor. My mom dated ever since but it allways ended up badly* and you know how mothers are* So she took it out on us. Recently she started dating a guy. And ever since she did she is like pushing me away..* when she goes and visit him she just leaves us at my grandma. And when she is back she is allways screaming on me.* I tried to talk to her but it makes things worts...* there is nobody I could talk 2...* so if you have any advice I would apriciate it.* thX!!

so I am only 14 years old.
I've started to talk to this guy, who is a sophomore. Though he goes to a different school that I do.
we don't live to far, and are planning to hang out soon at one of my schools football games.
he told his mom and step dad that we were talking& that he likes me and they said that I'm pretty and they're okay with it.
On our date at the football game which is in like 2 weeks, August 30, I start school August 29. & his school year started last Monday. He was planning on asking me out. I really like this boy, & I want to be in a serious relationship with him
I want him to meet my parent. (Dad) But I'm too scared and don't know how he'll react.

my school starts soon. Luckily my mothers case is not a big one so it wasn't on the news or anything. I told one of my friends but haven't told two others. If I invite them over they will probably notice my mom not there. Do you think if people find out they will be all cruel or teasing like you usually see on television shows or understandable and just mind their own business? I am optimistic and believe they will be understandable and won't act in the way you usually see like on TV. It is hard to believe why people would want to be like that

One thing I wonder is how being in jail will change her. Obviously spending six months there would change you somewhat. I mean now that my mom is a criminal and will be surrounded by other criminals for eight months. I've talked to her on the phone and she seems the same but I still wonder. One positive that may come from this, maybe she will go easier on me. Though that could be a bad thing I guess

My mom took my phone while I pretended to sleep and when she gave it back I quickly checked all the recent "view history" and she friggin read all my texts and emails. This bitch pisses me off and I hate how she has to snoop around and read my personal things; where the hell is the privacy these days...

K, So I don't really know where to start so lemme just dive right into it. My Mum is training to be a nurse and sometimes she stays up really late to finish or revise stuff and she never has time for me, not that I ever used to talk to her about stuff before that anyway. asked a similar question before but really wanted to see more opinions
My mother is currently in jail for a financial crime for six months. I have no problem with my mother and She was a good mother. Before this misdeed though I am wondering if now it might be hypocritical for me to listen to her now that she is a criminal. One thing I wonder is how being in jail will change her. Obviously spending eight months there would change you somewhat. I mean now that my mom is a criminal and will be surrounded by other criminals for eight months. I've talked to her on the phone and she seems the same but I still wonder. One positive that may come from this, maybe she will go easier on me. Though that could be a bad thing I guess

I asked a version of this before but I added some more details and wanted to see some more opinions
my mother is currently in jail the next eight months for a financial crime(if she serves her full sentence it will be about next April when she gets out). I might get flack for supporting a criminal but you know since her crime wasn't against me I guess it is OK to support her in this way. I was wondering what are some good books or magazines to send to an inmate, I honestly don't read much and I was thinking maybe there were some good specific books you can send to an inmate

Im tired of being hurt and feeling lost I live with my dad and stepmom but I have another family two hours away and in that family I have my stepdad he's horrible he treats my sisters with love and care but I get told I'm worthless and no one would care if I existed I can't do this anymore I usually keep strong but he's tearing down any defense I have two years ago I attempted suiside but my 6 year old sister caught me and stopped me I did it because of him but never told my parents about it they don't even know I attempted it no one knows but my sister she watches me everyday now and its getting worse again his words hurt more than it should I don't know what to do anymore 15f
