Concert Attire

Posted Sunday December 19 2010, 12:58 pm

I am going to a concert, All Time Low, finally, I've been waiting to see them for SO long. Anyway, I hear after concerts they always have hang out sessions for anyone that wants to come, where they will sign stuff and just talk, they like to do that in Philly and small places, the concert I am attending is in Philly. So, since I will probably be seeing them in person and we may possibly meet, I'm already planning an outfit. I already know I want to wear converses, because they're comfortable sneakers and they look cute too (: and probably my favorite skinny jeans but how should I do my hair and what type of shirt should I wear? A blouse, tee shirt, flanel? I would like to be comfortable but look cute enough to not necessarily turn the guys'...

vintage dress for prom

Posted Sunday December 19 2010, 2:59 am

Hey there so I'm looking for a dress to wear for prom :) My boyfriend wants to wear a vintage baby blue tuxedo with a ruffled white shirt and bow tie and all... yeah we're kicking it old school (; So anyways I was wondering if anyone could help me find a dress to match that sort of tux? I'm a bigger girl, not plus size but large/xl, and I like short poofy dresses. Anything that would match and look vintage really, I'm open to any and all suggestions :) Thanks in advance!!

What are some preppy fashion essentials?

Posted Monday December 13 2010, 6:46 pm

I'm changing my style to become more classic and preppy. What are the key items for a preppy look? Also, what outfits can you wear with Sperry Top-Siders?
(I'm talking about the true preppy, not fake, Abercrombie public school preppy.)

HELP. my hair turned bright green!

Posted Monday December 13 2010, 1:01 am

ok, so we just moved into a house with a salt water pool. I have bleach white hair (which has taken me over a year to achieve). I have been swimming a couple of times with no problems and my hair stayed white, however i hopped out of the pool and now my white hair is BRIGHT GREEN. Im really upset and distraught because i loved my white hair and it took alot to get it white. So anyway i have toned my hair 3 times in the shower already and its still bright green. what do i do? x

Hair Color

Posted Wednesday December 1 2010, 9:32 pm

So my hair is a natural dark, ash blonde. I went to the salon today and picked a color (dark blonde) to fix up my roots as my color was still light from the summer. To my horror, my color came out dark brown. My hairdresser said that it should fade a little because it was not permanent, and if I wanted she could do highlights for another $25. I really do not like my hair this dark, and I do not know what to do; if I go one number lighter, it is too light and brassy and orangey. But, I'm afraid that if I do highlights it will just look bad and streaky and still do dark. Will any home dyes (ex. clairol natural instincts brass free) work without turning my hair brassy? I really don't want to pay extra to fix my hair for something that is not my fault... Please help!

How can i look older??

Posted Tuesday November 30 2010, 8:54 pm

Well i am seventeen and i ALWAYS get stuff like:" "you look so young to drive" or "re you fourteen?!"
I know this is a good thing when you are older, but as a teen, it SUCKS. i want people to see me as a seventeen year old.
I drive, i am mature, i am nice. I love fashion, and i am always one of the best dressed. But the problems are: i am 5"4 and really skinny and petite so people see me way younger. And worst of all... i have NO boobs. They aren't growing! I have already talked to the doctor and its all "dont worry the time will come" and stuff like that. but for the meantime, what can i try to look older?

Help Me pick a wedding ring!

Posted Tuesday November 30 2010, 11:07 am

I am looking for a wedding ring, but I really can't pick a style. I have a budget of $700, but obviously cheaper is better. These are the ones I'm deciding between are these:
http://www.zoara.com/selected-product/11292
http://www.zoara.com/selected-product/11131
http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-ring-white-gold_9736
I really want it to match my engagement ring which has 4 sidestone diamonds along the side of the band on either side of the centerstone round brilliant.
What do you think!?

Posted Monday November 29 2010, 7:39 pm

What should i wear/what should i do?

Posted Sunday November 28 2010, 7:17 am

Hey, I'm the president for my class and b/c of that I have to participate in the charity fundraiser coming up, some teachers and like class officers are involved. Anyway it involves getting slimed (u know like nickelodeon green slime? loL!) if people put the most money in your bucket (like the top three get slimed). I sort of have a reputation for being fashionable and dressing up a lot and I was voted best dressed so a lot of people say they'll donate for me if I wear like my regular school clothes to get slimed (something like a nice top, high waist skirt, tights, and heels.)

If I say that I'll dress up for it then a lot of people will donate in my bucket and I'll definitely be one of the people getting slimed. So yeah, we...

tanning bed

Posted Sunday November 28 2010, 1:38 am

I was thinking about tanning over the winter. I have never been before, I was wondering what to expect, what levels I should use, what I should wear, how often I should go and stuff about costs, etc.

I'm already dark skinned, a bit.
Thanks!

Makeup For Dry Skin

Posted Saturday November 27 2010, 7:48 pm

I'm 15 and got a facial from my local mall. When I was done, I obviously had to get something from there lol. So, the brand is something called Clarins Paris. What I bought was a moisterizer called HydraQuench Cream and it came with two free things, HydraQuench Cream-Mask and HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase. Then there's Gentle Foaming Cleanser that came with a free Toning Lotion(for anyone who wants to look it up, it's the yellow one). And finally, the Hydra-Care Tinted Moisturizer SPF 6. Now, I'm very confused on what to put on first and when. What I usually did was put on Neutrogena foundation on my face and then eyeliner, mascara, and then this Neutrogena powder. However, now I have all of these different things. Since I have the t...

natural waves for my hair

Posted Thursday November 25 2010, 3:21 pm

my hair is shoulder length (i'm trying to grow it out) but i really want to achieve the wavy look :) i've tried so many things but i just cant get that natural look.

i've tried scrunching with gel, using a diffuser, using curling irons, 3 barrel waver, straightener with curved edges.. but they still dont give me the look i want and crave.

when i use gel, my hair just gets sticky and crunchy and doesnt scrunch or wave at all. when i use a diffuser, it makes my hair look like a ball of mess, instead of waves. if i use curling irons, my hair is too short for that and it only makes like 1 huge wave instead of several waves, if i use a 3 barrel waver and straightener with curved edges, it makes my hair look "bu...

How do you know if you're ugly or just average?

Posted Tuesday November 23 2010, 8:04 pm

Ever since I was little my family has called me "pretty" and all those warm and fuzzy words, but that's just family. I don't take them seriously.

I've never been asked out, always been rejected when I've done the asking... To my knowledge, no guy has ever liked me. (To be hoenst though, I'm not bitter about it, so no need for sympathy)

So... how do you know if you're "ugly"? :/ Do guys look at ugly girls? I ask that 'cause I've noticed lately that, from guys in general, I've been getting more looks. Seriously, just within the past two weeks. I have no rumors floating around me, not lost any weight or done anything drastic to change myself. I checked in a mirror and nothing was on my face or...
