Hi. My theatre company is putting on a production of "My Fair Lady" and the auditions are really soon. I want to try out for Henry Higgins or Col. Pickering, but I need to learn an english accent. Can anyone help?

I need to learn an English accent

Hi, I'm in theatre and I have an audition coming up in August for a Shakespeare play that my school is putting on. Our director is really strict and wants everything to be authentic, so for the part I need to learn a "Queen's English" accent. I tried watching a bunch of movies but whenever I actually try, it never sounds right. So I was wondering if anybody knew of any ways I could learn without having to hire a coach.

Sorry if it's not in the right category.
For my theatre program I'm in, my music director taught us a warm-up that goes (and this spelling might be wrong): pamininy pamininy pamininy po, bully bully bully bully bully bully bah, digeree digeree digeree do, hamininee hamininee hamininee hah. If anyone knows the song, the show its from, or who wrote it that would be beyond spectacular, but if not does anyone know of any way I can search the internet or a lyrics site with just knowing some of the words. thank you so much!

audition nerves

Okay, I don't usually get nervous before performing on stage. I get really nervous during auditions, though and because I'm nervous I perform poorly and I don't get a callback. I hate knowing that I could do really well, but blowing it because I'm nervous. Does anyone know how I can overcome my audition nerves? I will rate high. Thanks.

how would i start modeling?.. i know i need a portfolio but how do i come about that.. do i pay?.. how much is it? do i just go to a place where they do professional photography like glamour shots?..
and for acting.. how do i start that.. is it wise to get an agent? how much would that be.. im thinkin of taking acting classes.. i take drama in highschool

I have to audition for A MIdsummer Night's Dream on Sunday. I have to prepare a Shakspearean monologue that is more than four lines, but less than two minutes. I want to use this monologue:

Improving my singing voice.

What songs are easy to start singing with? People tell me to sing whatever song I want but it's not helping, because I don't sound like the person and it makes me try harder[it messes up my voice]. So any suggestions?

I'm looking for monogologues the use in competition at with my Thespian troupe at the District and (hopefully!) state level next year. I need two contrasting monoglougues.
This year, I could not find good ones in time. I had my heart set on Rosencrantz's 'box' monologue from Ros. and Guil. are Dead, but I had a hell of a time finding something good to contrast with that. I'm not trying to gloat or anything here, but I can do outlandish comedy really well, but I've also played roles like Biff in Death of a Salesman, and the kind of psychotic as well.
If you have any experience with this sort of thing at all, please give me some advice. I think I'd have a very good chance at going far with it if I found the right material.

im going to camp center stage tomorrow. (its a singing, dancing, and acting camp.) it lasts for 6 weeks and all of the camp time we work on for performing a show. this year we are doing suessical. so, my question is, what are some good audition songs? we need to have an audition song thats 32 measures or less for auditions. can anyone give me some good ideas?! help! this is all to much -- we have to have it memorized by sometime this week for auditions! :-/ answers asap would be appreciated. ill rate !!! ♥
