Well, let's start 2 years back. My boyfriend and I began dating early 2012, his daughter was just over a year old at this time. Well, his ex at this point had moved an hour and a half away with her new boyfriend and their daughter. I didn't understand the situation too well at the moment so I stayed out. I saw him angry and upset on the phone nearly everyday. After 6 months of dating my boyfriend took me on a drive to meet his daughter when he picked her up from daycare one day. Of course I immediately fell in love, but I also understood how big this was. So, this is kind of a long story, but I am going to try and condense it as much as possible. I am a 22 year old female, soon to be 23. When I was 18 years old, I was planning on going away for college, but due to a series of events (family members becoming ill, going through some personal things), I decided to stay home. I was planning on going away the second year, and then the third year, etc. After the third year passed and I was still home, I did not see a point in leaving because it would take me longer to complete school and most of my credits may not transfer to another university (you know how that is, it can be difficult). Why does my mom not care about me anymore?

Here's the deal. I've always been pretty close with my mom. We have the same sense of humor, and we are able to talk to each other very easily. We've had our fights and disagreements here and there, but usually we would turn out okay, and move on. I'm currently 20 years old, and things seem to be getting worse with her, and I'm not all that sure why. Nowadays she hardly wants to talk to me or even look at me, and I can be as nice as possible to her and she'll snap at me for no reason. When she bothers to talk to me, all she says is some kind of complaint (either pertaining to me or something else). i am so muchh damaged that i dont see a single point in living my life. i wanted to change .. but people around me never allow me to change.. i lost my right of opinion, i lost my right to cry.. everything i lost.. if i cry loudly.. they say " dont make me say anythin"..if i supress my sadness and madness they say "i know why you are behaving like this.. becoz u dont have the right ..." neither can i live nor can i change.. becoz according to them , i donot possess the right to change myself and live.. you see, they are not giving me a option other than death.. you think from my place... what u ll do?

I am a part time college student taking six classes Monday and Wednesday. These classes are relatively easy; I am taking English, Basic Speaking, Math, and two online classes: Reporting and Anthropology. These classes do not require a lot of stress, maybe a few chapters to read for Anthropology, Basic Speaking, and Journalism, and Math has a page or two of homework every class. I find myself bored when I am at home and finish my homework as soon as I get the chance.
I recently got a job as a barista. I have little experience, but this job is mostly making drinks, like espressos and iced tea, and managing the cash register. This shop just opened, and the managers are very flexible. I told them I prefer 9-5 on my days off from...

there is this tutor I work with in the tutoring lab in college. She's great and a wonderful person to be around with. My class ended a few months ago but I saw her around campus recently and I like to chat with her if I can though I am really nervous and can't really talk well. . I can not go up and talk to anyone for just conversational purposes unless they talk to me first. That is how I made friends. This is honestly annoying the crap out of me
I just had a dream of her showing up at my house to give me something. I then invited her inside and we chatted about things and then I showed her around and things I do and stuff I did. Then in the end when she left I though "I can send her a friend request now" ...

why hasnt my favorite grandmas death hit me yet? it doenst seem real

My favorite grandmother passed away last week on my birthday and wheni found out I was upset and cried a lot. but it still doesn't feel to me like she is really gone. Why don't I feel sad or why aren't I crying? could it possibly be that she is at peace now so I feel so too? I don't know but I feel bad because I should be super upset

What should i do about my dad losing his job?

I'm a sophmore in highschool and I don't really know what to do or how to react to my family's recent situation. My father just lost his job and is currently being paid a severence for the next 12 weeks. We are immigrant citizens and neither of my parents have college degrees. My mom isn't working and probably will never because she speaks very little English. When my dad told me he was fired I was in shock and i still am. I haven't really talked to him about it nor have I done anything about it. I don't know what to do I looked up online and got people saying how I should get a job to help support my family but Im too young and the jobs fit for my age group are filled I can't even drive by myself yet and my parents wouldn't allow it anyway...

Ok so...
I am a 15 year old girl and the youngest of all my siblings (20,28,38 and 31) I dont really get to do much with them as they work all the time.
I watch Anime a lot.. and it identifies with me. That's why I love it. But you see, my family is religious so i cant watch anything with religion not present (such as Fullmetal Alchemist) or Black butler.
I feel lonely a lot since my 'friends are sort of jerks.
So, I imagine that I'm talking to the characters I watch and I act out all sorts of scenes. I even had a crush on one of them... My family looks at me like i'm crazy and like I said they dont like the stuff I do.

I am 13 years old and my sister just turned 16. A few months ago randomly she got a MacBook, new iphone, and a iPad Mini randomly for no reason. I on the other hand have be asking for a new laptop only for the past two years and still haven't recieved one. My parents get mad everytime I ask if I'm going to get a laptop. Also, my sister will say "I have no clothes to wear tomorrow! Please can I go to the mall?" They'll give her $100 and send her off. Though if I ask and haven't bought anything for the past 3 months, it's a "You're always asking for stuff!" It's really not fair because I always have to go without while my sister gets everything. There is a guy that has a television show. He reunites family that can't find each other. I don't have cable so I can't figure out his name but I really need to know it. My Mom has not been able to contact her Mom since I was 11 years old and I am now 22. I do not know if my Meme is still alive but me my Mom and my sister all deserve peace with her loving soul. My parents split when I turned 18 so now it is just me and my Mom. What ever the out come it will not be easy for my Mother but something is better then her living every day feeling alone. Over protective mother

Hey I Am 18 I need advice on how to tell my mom to let go. She is too over protective, crazy mom, examples when I was in high school she timed me on how long it should take me to get straight home from school. When am in college she forces me to come home every weekend to do shit at home. She doesn't let me hang out w. My friends she actually doesn't want me to have any friends she Dominican btw she doesn't even let me walk my dog on my own. She wants me to change schools so I can be closer to home never going to happen btw she checks my bags n room when ever she gets the chance too i have no type of privacy at home .. Is it alright to send a birthday card to someone incarcerated?

also is this feeling weird.
my mother is currently in jail until February for a financial crime and I am her 14 year old daughter. My dad said to find and write her a card to send her there since her birthday will be coming up. I have no problem doing this but some would say it is a bad thing since I would be supporting a criminal. Personally since her crime wasn't against me I think it is OK to support her in some ways like potentially sending her some books or something. If I do decide to send a card what should I write in it (I am horrible at thinking up more than one line to write) and was thinking of getting one of those jail themed related cards on the internet but then it might seem I am making fun of her, though I kn...

Question About Parental Love (And Be Honest)

Last summer, I read a story about someone whose son had died. The person who wrote it said that losing a firstborn is more difficult than losing any other child. Being a second born, this upsets me very much. I know that my mom doesn't feel this way, but I'm Worried that my dad might. I hear people say that they love their children equally, but what good does equal love do when you feel this way?
I've heard some other sucky things about second borns, like that their parents resent them for taking their time and attention away from the first. Or that they're destructive to the family structure. I even heard that fathers fall in love with their first child at first site, but take months to feel anything for their other children...

How to handle disgusting/gross issue from adult daughter

My 26 year old daughter has always had an "anything goes" attitude. One of them is, get ready for this one....cockroaches. I am DEATHLY afraid of them. My daughter has a friend who has cockroaches all over her apartment. She goes to visit her quite often. I have begged her to meet her somewhere neutral instead so she doesn't bring them home to me accidentally. But she still goes there. She's 26. I can't prevent her from going there. But it's not fair for me to cringe every time she comes home from there. I've told her if she brings them here, she's paying to get rid of them. Still, she goes there. Any advice?
