i have a cold sore. it hurts sooooo bad, and it's made my lip so huge and puffy. and i can't talk, and i can only eat liquids from a straw because i cant open my mouth far enough. i am seriously in tears because it hurts so bad and everyone keeps making fun of me saying i have herpes and stuff, and it really hurts my feelings. but what im more worried about is the pain and puffiness. how do i at least make it stop hurting as much, and if possible can i make it smaller over night. please help me, it hurts so bad.

Ear infections and hearing loss...

Okay,
I am hard of hearing, and whenever I get an ear infection my biggest fear is it's going to be that ear infection that might damange my hearing even more. Is that even possible? I mean can it damange my hearing more? Seriously the though freaks me out. I've had a double ear infection for almost a week and my ears still haven't popped :(

Pertussis (whooping cough)

I think I might have whooping cough, seeing as there's been more than 30 cases of it in my county. As far as symptoms, I have a runny nose, I cough like crazy, and in the beginning I had a really sore throat (but it's gone.) But the thing is, I was vaccinated against it. o_0 Is there a chance I have it? The coughing only gets worse everyday. x_x

Okay so I finally went to the hospital last night and the doctors told me I had "Sinusitis" today I went into the bathroom and I must of spit out like 4 mouthfuls of yellowish, bloody, greenish mucus. However.. I coughed up something weird...and it didn't look normal so I poked it (sorry to be disgusting...) and it felt like it was a peice of skin!!! Omg.. It was hard and omg it was gross and Ugh.. I don't know what the heck it was or what to do :(

Ear Infections and popping your ears?

Okay this is really kind of disgusting..
I have been as sick as a dog the last 3 days, I have a double ear infection and I was wondering what would happen if I tried to pop my ears when I had an ear infection? Not only would it possibly damage the ear but... Would it puss or bleed out? Sorry to be gross but I was just curious to what would happen.

Tampon Pain.

Okay, so I have been wearing tampons for about three years now. All of a sudden everytime I wear one it hurts extremely bad. When I take the tampon out it doesn't hurt anymore. I don't know what could be causing it. Help?

ok so about a month and a half ago I had sex with my BF. My period was wierd...and just b4 it I had a bunch of wierd clear stuff and then I got like a clump of it. I dont knwo what it is or what to do.. but I do know that my pierod hurt alot more and I cant even tell when I have to use the bath room..Idk what I am supost to do

hey,well i was cursed with a no cure disease psoriasis :/, is there anyone out there that can please help me and tell me what can help [as in like natural things] im taking thes tumeric capsules because they like suposably work. but they dont really help :[. i hate prescriptions for some reason. maybe because ive been prescribes soooo many things over the years, so i wanna try something like organic you know. well pleaseee help me. its controlling my life. i dont even want to go out anymore because everyone notices it. please i will so greatly appreciate it if you tell me some type of thing that can at least cure it for a while you know, thanks so much

Ok, so im 16 right, and im a chick. about a year a go, i had head lice...ok i wasnt and im not dirty or anything, i got it from my school. but anyway, my hair was perfectly lovely, it was thick and valumptuous..is that a word??...and so i found out i had lice, and my mom bought me some rid or somethin along that line..and ever since ive used that, my hair has been reeeally thin and like more falls out than id like it to. Is this normal? PLEEEEASEE help

My belly button was pierced just yesterday. It was fine yesterday, but today its red & swollen, but worst of all...around the hole, its black.
So I'm preeetttyyy sure its infected. What should I do?!?!

im making this up bytheway:
lets say theres a guy i know. and he went out with this girl that he really loved.. for A WHOLE YEAR. and suddenly she breaks up with him because... SHE thinks she doesnt have feelings for him anymore.
The guy gets VERY very depressed and turned to drugs for comfort. now i know youre thinking this is very "stupid" and he did not think it through. but he's human. BEAR with me.
Lets say I dont talk to this guy but i happen to know him. because i see him around .. lets say.. at work. i feel VERY BAD FOR HIM. i sometimes wish he was MY FRIEND. so that i could help him as much as i could. i know deep inside he is a very good decent person. [who doesnt need all those drugs...

i am FREAKING out like i have never freaked out before. about 2 days ago, i noticed a lump on my head. it looked very much like a masquito bite but i knew it wasnt, i just thought it was probly just a big pimple.. so i put alcohol on my face like i always do to treat my pimples. and i tried to squeese the puss out of it.. a little little tiny bit of puss came out but mostly just the clear liquid stuff that sometimes comes out of pimples.. so, i just kept squeezing it to drain all that stuff out to hopefully make it smaller. well, it worked but now it looks like a huge cut on my head..
the next day, i noticed another masquito bite looking thing on my chin! i started flipping out because i am starting schoo...

My dog is sick! I need emergency help!

I have an Australian Shepherd. Female/almost 3 years old/no history of illnesses.
I got home today and found yellowish dried vomit in three separate sections on the house. An hour later she threw up two more times. She's moping around. Her nose is cold and wet, which is good, but the inside of her ears are cold.
Please don't answer this with "Ask a vet" or "look up advice online." That doesn't help. If you have a link to a website with advice though, that will help.
Please help!

I woke up with stomach pains yesterday, and when I went to the doctor, he told me we'd have to wait a day and that if it persisted, he would check for appendicitis. It still hurts today, but not as much. I told my mom I'd rather kill myself than have someone carve into me with a knife, and I meant it. I saw how they performed an appendectomy on Lost, and I know it's not gonna feel good but, I don't wanna go through that! I asked my friend, who had it done, and ALL she told me was : "all I know is I was crying like a bitch!", and then she laughed, which wasn't much help. Do you feel them digging in to you, or do you only feel it after the operation? Does it really hurt that much? What the heck do we have that crap in our body for in the first place?! ok heres the story.
i started having this "stomach ache" on sunday, and it has been the worse thing i have been through, i swear. One night I was in the bathroom every 15min, diarreha. Now, ive had it for almost 7 days, constant pain, i want to throw up every once in awhile. And now, it's mostly when i eat, about 1-2hrs later, im in horrible pain and i have a harder stool. I've been hearing that this is a stomach virus going around. All I know is that I am sick of this, I would like to be actually eating again and enjoying my life without constant pain and running to the bathroom. I've tried pepto, idioum, anti-dirreaheal pills, like everything! My mother refuses to take me to a doctor because she thinks it's ju...

So I got back from a long trip only to find out that I have mono. I'm not really sick anymore, just realllly tired all the time- just walking to the bathroom makes me exhausted. How can I speed up the healing process and get more energy?
Already drinking water and taking vitamin c.

Ok... i'm 13 year's old....and i'm considerd emo.. i have a lip pericing, and i have black hair, i;m usually unhappy, and very depressed.. i just started cutting...i started on my ancle and now i'm doing my wrist's... and pretty deep. i'm scared for myslef and my friends are scared for me... please help.
