for college i want to get a mac. can you use microsoft word on there or is there something similar that i could use? i've never owned a mac so im just curious.

videos wont play

my computer all of a sudden stopped playin videos. for instance, if i go on youtube to watch a video it will only play 10 seconds of it (very lagged) and then stop playin. no matter what i do it wont play !
how can i fix this ?

Default Microsoft Office

I downloaded a 2007 trial of Microsoft Office and then the trial ended and I went back to 2003. However, I went to download a powerpoint and it would only open in 2007 so I can't make changes to it! I tried changing the program to use Powerpoint 2003 but it wasn't listed nor could I find it on my computer at all, but it obviously exists.
How do I set my default Microsoft Powerpoint back to 2003 and NOT use 2007 as my default?

Macbook videos

You know how you can leave videos on peoples facebook wall? well, my friend left me one tonight and she had like all these animations with like face things and high pitched voices. how can i get that for my macbook? im not sure if she has a mac or not.

Hey, I'm trying to find the right laptop for me... and I know nothing about laptops. My boyfriend has a black Mac.. he bought it probably for about 1,500.. and he says they're good, it's lasted him for a little over two years now. But my friend says that's a horrible decision and they get hacked the most easily. I'm leaning towards a mac, but is that the best idea??
I want something with a built in webcam/mic so I can video chat with my boyfriend while he's away at school, and something that can hold my schoolwork, music, movies, photoshop or other programs like the rosetta stone. Which laptops hold the most space and will last me a good 5 years?
Sorry, like I said I know NOTHING about this stuff. Advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

accidently deleted real tec

ok so my windows xp (acer) laptop computer was making all my sound go crazy like it sounded all chipmunky. and everything. like high pitched and all that. well i was talking to my friend that said she is a computer genious. well i read to her i had real tec or something like that and she said to delete it cause thats what making my computer do that. cause she used to have a laptop like mine i guess. well i deleted it and now my sound is completely missing from my entire computer. and i know like nothing about computers so i have no idea to get my sound back on... and i went into control panel and stuff. and clicked on audio and everything and its all light like you cant click anything! so someone please help me asap! i have to give the comp...

facebook question

SO just recently I attempted logging into my facebook account,with the correct email and correct password that i have not changed.It wouldn't let me login because it says i have to many "failed login attempts". Even though I have typed the correct password in each time and then it was saying how "reset password isnt avaible right now etc." So i don't know what would be the issue here. yet last night I was at my best friends house and she typed in my password so i was thinking maybe she tried to go on and lurk my stuff but she couldn't remember my password or something like that? I dont think she would do that but it's very possible.Has this happend to anyone?

Stupid sidekick

So I have a toshiba laptop with windows vista.
and i also have a sidekick 2008.
im trying to transfer music to my sidekick along with some themes because i cant take a picture and put it as my background (which is a different complaint on its own but whatever) anywho im using sk08themes.com for the themes and i cant get them on my sidekick i have the theme downloaded extracted and all ready to go but when i plug in my sidekick with the usb cord and go to computer to open the removable e disk a box comes up and tells me to put the disk in the e drive. and im like its already there. so i cleaned the usb connectors with an air can thinking maybe it was dirty, still not opening.

eject button keeps popping up?

my computer has this glass thing around the screen, and there are buttons like volume up and down, eject and stuff. my computer broke down a few days ago and i used the disc to 'wash' my computer, and when i turned it on the eject button just kept popping up and my computer tries to eject. i know its from the glass because when you press it, it says 'eject' in block letters and it shows on the screen, plus there's a beeping sound.
my question is, could i fix it myself or do i have to seek professional help?

Movies?

My boyfriend is getting deployed and I was thinking for Christmas I could somehow buy and send him movies because he is a total movie buff. Is there a way to put the movies onto a USB stick or something similar? He's not allowed to have a lot of personal items so thats why I don't want to send him a bunch of DVDs. If anyone has any ideas or input that would be awesome! Thanks!!

iTunes?

Is there any way to separate 2 self-titled albums by the same band in iTunes without changing their names? I've filled out the year for both, but even arranging it by "Album by Year" still groups both albums as one. My iPod doesn't separate the two albums, either,and it's very annoying.
Is there any way to fix this?
