AUDITIONING FOR SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL: need song suggestions

Hello. I'm a teenage girrl who is auditioning for a local production of Seussical in January. I'm pretty sure I'm an alto at this point in my life (low D to high C). I really want to sing a belting song (that i can sing completely in my chest voice) that is catchy and upbeat, not a slow ballad-type song. I'm not new to musical theater at all in case you were wondering. But, with my voice changing all the time, I'm having trouble finding good audition songs for my range. I want it to show off how well I can project, and it CANNOT be anything similar to "don't rain on my parade" if you know what I'm talking about.
Also, I have trouble with taking my chest voice up higher than it naturally does. Like I feel like my bre...

I'm in a horrible mood right now. Anyone who at least tries to make me feel better gets a 5 from me.
I'm in a musical theater class at my school, and we're doing a concert of scenes from assorted musicals.
We had this audition for a big number “Don’t Tell Mama” from Cabaret
Now, I put loads of time into this audition, and I was DYING to be Sally Bowles because I'd never had a real role in a musical number before. So today, we had call-backs. And not to sound conceited, but I think I did the best job, and everyone told me so, too. I was in character, sang it with a full-vibrato Broadway belt, and had it memorized. Short Animation

I really love short animation and I cant seem to find DVD s anywhere. Asking question on Advicenators is not my easy way (spoon feed me) but my last chance. I got this videos of General Chaos uncensored animation and love them. I ve also seen various every now and then for instance Le Cyclops de la mer and many others.
Where can I find more DVDs and order them? Or maybe even downloaded them online.

how to draw charatures

I really dont know what this goes under, but i'll but theater. I'm interested in drawing Charatures... no not "charaters" 'CHARACTURES' it's a drawing of a person and its funny looking kinda. But I have no idea how to draw them!! Does anybody have any tips or websites that I could learn from? thanx

I am directing freshman in highschool in a play. In one part the prince is supposed to say "i want to see how light you are:" & pick up the princess and hold her for a number of lines. i guess some of the other boys were making fun of the princess while we were discussing this because in relaity the princess may be a little heavier then the prince (she is NOT fat, the prince just happens to be tall & lanky and not as big as her). i then recieved an e-mail from the girls mom that she came home from rehersal visably upset. she said her daughter did not know she was e-mailing me & that she doesn't want me to tlak to the boy individually, but she wants me to monitor the behavior. she said i could call her at any time if i ...

Ok someone please help. I'm in this play and at one point I'm supposed to lose my voice. My director told me to scream for a few minutes, but that's not working. Is there any other way to help "lose your voice"?? Please help!!

Not just on the stage, but kinda offstage. I mean like.. I sing to myself, and I think it sounds pretty good, and once I did kareoke with my friends, and we were all singing pretty loud so I used my 'good singing voice' and one of my friends said that one of us was singing really good like a profesional or something. i mean, it was just an opinion, but still. but for some reason i dont use my good singing voice often.. i sing all scratchy and stuff when im around other people or singing by myself cuz i get embarassed or awkward. i mean.. when somebody sings like that all of a sudden, wont you be like 'O_o' and too much attention is flattering but a little.. like I'd rather not have it.. but have it to make me feel better at the same time? a...

Like so many other teenage girls, I want to be a model or movie star.
I was wondering how to get into either buisinesses, and tips on how to be good. Also, how can I convince my parents to let me audition if i do find something?? How do I know if I am good enough?? Or pretty enough?? How do I audition??HELP!!!

i am directing high schoolers in a play (freshman). one of my main characters is The King and I thought the boy I choose was really good. however, when we read through the play today he was sooooooooo flat & had no emotion unlike everyone else! how can i make him have emotion & be a better actor without being mean? he has a huge role so i need any good advice i can get!

I am a trained dancer who is auditioning for my local theatre companys version of cats, as well as dancing i have quite a bit of acting experince,however i have no singing experience, unfortunately i also have to do a singing audition!!!!!!! does anyone have any suggestions for a female voice with very limited range and no training please help!

adding lines

I am directing a high school play (I am a senior in high school) & I want to add lines for a smaller character in my play. originally it was not a character...it just said "a voice" but i decided to make the voice into the King's Herald (the voice announces people to the king). All he get's to say is "his excellency the chancellor" and "the women dulcibella". how can i add some more lines for him? i know you don't know the play, but just in general what can i do to add more lines?

im in drama and every time i try to do my act, this girl keeps taking over and keeps saying im not doing it right on every little thing. how do i become good enough so she wont say anything, she doesnt only do it to me, she does it to other people and they get mad too. any advice to this situation?
