I'm an only child. Through my childhood, I spend a lot of time at home. I didn't have THAT many friends at school, and I didn't have any friends in the neighborhood, so I was at home a lot, and I spent a lot of time being with my parents. When dad was at work and mom had to go somewhere, I would go. When I was a little girl, I spend SO much time with my mom. And my dad. My friends and other family members would say that I went everywhere my mom went. By 7th grade, I started to get a little...crazy. Ok... There is this big ordeal in my family. My mom is incarirated and my dad is dead because of her. I live with my Uncle now. i used to live with my aunt till my uncle b died and my mother said my aunt couldnt handle me. Well I have been living here and I hate it. My mother wont listen to me about where i want to live or what i want to do she is only thinking of herself. How can i talk to her with out her getting all pissed??

my parents are always giving me compliments on how beautiful i am, blah blah blah. i hate it!! it annoys me so much, and i don't know how i'm supposed to respond. it doesn't bug me when my friends compliment me and stuff, but i absolutely hate it when my parents do it. i cant even fix my hair in the mirror without my parents looking at me and saying to eachother "look at my daughter, shes so pretty". i used to wear my hair up all the time and i used to wear glasses. my parents got me contacts, and i liked wearing them, but when i didn't they would get mad, especially my dad. they would be like "wheres your contacts, you're so pretty. and wear your hair down!" omg, so i stopped doing it because i hate getting comp...

14/m my parents are always talkin about how bad life used to be for them. They keep telling me how they used to get beaten for everything they did wrong. I know i'm not perfect and i deserve punishment sometimes, but this is torture! I made it known that im not interested in hearing these depressing stories and its like they don't hear me because they keep telling the stories. and its not even like they change it up, cuz they don't. I just got in trouble for saying i didn't want to hear it again about 2 hrs ago. How can i let them know that i don't want to hear the stories anymore? What should i do? plz help. thx

My mom is a cancer survivor--breast cancer and skin cancer. recently, a friend of her's son was diagnost with a sever type of cancer. He has to go through kemo and stuff. We're going to do stuff for his family, but thats not my concern
my concern is with my mother. she's been really worried and depressed about him since she found out on saturday. everytime she starts to talk about my future or about happiness she starts to cry, and says how unfair it is for a child to have to deal with that. she tells me almost everyday she wouldn't care how many times she had to go through cancer so i wouldn't have to. she says that she wouldn't know what the hell she'd do if anything happened to me or my sister.

How old do you have to be to give up on finding a girl friend. The reason I ask is that im 24 ill be 25 next may and ive never had a girlfriend or been in a serious relationship, I Know im not ugly and I can send you a pic to prove it, and most of the time i can talk to girls just fine, but it always ends up the same for me, they always say that im a real nice guy and that one day ill find the right girl for me and then the dreaded "LETS JUST BE FRIENDS".
I just dont understand what im doing wrong. and when i think about it it makes me real mad, that
there's girls out there with boyfriends that beat them, abuse them both phisicaly and mentaly,

hey.. my parents r super protective like they wont let me "date" 1 on 1 till im 16 and they have to meet him and all that crap..althou im dating now and its really hard to go out w. him kas i need to have my friends go w. me so my parents dont explode.. what can i do so i can go out w. him but not get in trouble.?

Ever since i could remember my parents havent been exactly intimate i guess you could say. They have always seemed happy together and i always thought they would be together forever. Then a few days ago my mom told me that she was having problems with my dad and that they might get divorced. i was shocked and hurt. it killed me that i couldnt do anything about. and the worst part of it is i am the only one out of my family that knows how my mom feels. my dad and brother are clueless. i dont know how to handle this HUGE secret on my shoulders. how can i handle this horrible situation. please someone tell my what to do!

Well there's this guy,Ben and I used to like him and I dont anymore but I still get jealous when he talks about his girl or when he hangs all over my sister Joanna who he totally likes and its so easy to tell that. But my sister never liked him,plus she is two years older then him so I thought she would never go for him. Also Ban is Jerrys best friend and Jerry is Joannas ex-fiance, they still like each other and still talk as friends and I dont know why they arent together but thats not what this is about. Joanna told me she would never go for Ben because she knew it would hurt Jerry. In 1999 I signed a car loan for my daughter then 18. 2yrs later I added her onto the title. I just found out she no longer is making payments and wants to hold me liable for the car she dumped on the street to be stolen.I am overseas, and have been since 99. Am I protected anywhere under any laws? Is she liable for payments at this point?

Should I tell my parents about being raped?

I'm in my early twenties. I was raped as a teenager and never told my parents. Should I ever tell them? If they knew, they might be able to understand me better (I've got some psychological issues) but I don't want to upset them - if they knew, they'd be so so sad and would probably feel like it's their fault somehow. Is it worth it to tell them, or is this something that's best to keep from them?

i'm mo and i'm female. my friend keeps saying stuff like 'our parents do something really bad. i wish i could tell you but i can't!'. It's really scaring me, I'm afraid they really are doing something bad. And unlike her, i really love my parents, and i dont want this to happen to them, or move out, or anything like that. HELP!

hi im elle. im 13. Heres where i need advice...my mom doesnt know how to control my brothers. at all. so they are insane. all the time. she constantly blames it on me. "well its because youre not the perfect sister!" im a good student. im know im not perfect. but she could at least treat me with more respect. she grounds me all the time. and my brothers run wild. they are constantly fighting and everytime she hears them fight she goes "elle what did you do?" wtf? thats not right. and my dad has the worst temper ever and always fights with her. we're poor and i can never do anything. they dont trust me. its like i dont even exist to them. and they do some really bad stuff. i mean like drugs. i just want to know what i sho...

ok my mom and my sister tryed too hurt my brother bye browing up his car and i broke my sister noes and my mother wind sheild and i have no one too talk too about it no one understands help me and tell me what to do? im so lost i can't live with out my brother i dont have a father he killed him self. .</3 and my boy friend dumped me the day after this whole thing happend and i had sex with him and now i think im presgnet i dont know what too do!=( plzz help!

I am 42,male, my brother is 50 married with one son.
My brother recently(9 months ago) won £4.5 million UK pounds on the lottery. My Question is this, he sent me a copy of him receiving the cheque and that is it, I considered us to be pretty close prior to his win, but all i feel now is bitterness, not jealousy, which i can imagine people would say i am. just bitter, i always said and still maintain that i would help my family out if such a windfall should fall on me, am i wrong to feel this emotion or should i be angry, I am really struggling with this so constructive answers would, i hope help me to come to terms with this,
