ring or instrument?

So I can order a class ring which I really want. My parents are trying to figure out a way to help me get it cost wise, but they brought up an offer that is really hard for me to say no to. They said I probly won't wear the ring out side of high school so theyd give me the money for the ring to buy a keytar(a cross between a guitar and a keyboard) and as a solo musician I could really use help buy equipment because thats what I'm going to do with my life. I just can't decide if I should get the ring I really want or if I should put the money toward my career. What would you do if you were in my place?

Hi, I am a fifteen year old girl. I have sung ever since I can remember. I have sung in church, school, talent shows, and festivals. I live in a considerably small town, after all, it is the folk capital of the world. I just love the feeling of singing on stage, and I know it's going to be hard work, but I want to do that for the rest of my life. How can I get "noticed" in a small town? Any suggestions?

Hi I'm 12 years old and my throat hurts when I sing like A LOT. When I try to sing it's coming from my throat and that's bad. My teacher tells me to relax my jaw and shoulders , use your diaphragm , take a deep breath, and place it in my nose BUT I DONT NO HOW TO !!!!!!! I'm relaxing my shoulder/neck area and taking deep breaths but I still don't no how to use my diaphragm or "place it in my nose" I have been told how to do this a thousand times and I think I'm doing it yet my throat still is on fire. Idk wat to do . Plz help and fast bc I have an audition tomorrow thx

Record Deal

Hi. So I want to be a singer, and I'm 13 years old. I thought that the best way to acheive that goal was to make a record deal. I want to make a demo and send to a record label. I have 2 questions:
1. Can I make a record deal at 13 years young?
2. Can you give me some websites of record labels near Chicago. Possible somewhere in Vernon Hills, Illinois.

I am a girl and I am 13 years young. I want to be a famous singer&actress, and I have a voice coach and I am about to join a community theatre. Most websites say that I need an agent? And move to California? My parents can't just drop everything and move, and my family is not exactly the rich kind to get me a producer. I want to be in movies as a kid still, not as a 16 or 18 year old. Auditioning for movies isn't really going to work either. My parents aren't SO supportive of me. Is there a way I can get discovered without spending TOO much money and not moving anywhere?

Every time I listen to a song, it's about sex. Boy celebrities only care about boobs, sex, vaginas, and big butts, and pretty women. For girl celebs...damn, ho it up. It seems that slutty girls are famous. Kesha can't sing without auto tune, but still gets fans by shaking her fake body. Why am I so shy?
I am from India.I am very shy , I know that's a disadvantage but I can't stop being shy. I am not confident. I can't speak out in public. I can't sing out loud. Dance in front of anyone except my teacher and the other children who learn. I know I sing good, everyone says I do. But the thing that keeps me hidden is shy, lack of confidence. I want to sing , dance , speak out , like my other friends do. They don't sing, dance good but still they do it confidently. I want to open up like everyone else. Even in my school, class,if a question is been asked, I know it but I'm scared it will go wrong, so I don't answer. I want you to suggest me that what should I do to overcome these obstacles. Or what my problem actually is. Thank you.
