Les Mis Posted Thursday February 8 2007, 10:48 pm
In Les Miserables, Gavroche has a part that starts, "Good evening dear inspector, lovely evening my dear..." and its when he's accusing javert of being a spy. I was wondering if anyone knew if it was on the soundtrack, and, if so, what song it was under.

Flat singing Posted Wednesday February 7 2007, 5:59 pm
People have told me I'm singing flat.
I can hear it. I don't know how to sing.. not flat? I'm trying to do vibrato. Some words come out naturally but the others.. don't.
What are some breathing exercises?
My chest sometimes feels.. all tight.
How can I relax and breathe.. well.. correctly?

School Play Auditions Posted Tuesday February 6 2007, 11:13 pm
before you go into the audition room to audition for a play at my high school, you are given your scene, so you can practice with the other people who have also been assigned that scene. you probably have anywhere from 5-15 minutes to practice. when practicing, is it better to do your part EXACTLY how you plan to do it in the room, or is it better to hold back a little bit, until you get into the room. the reason i ask this is because i have found that if you practice the scene how you plan to really do it, then the other people auditioning sometimes sort of "steal" the way you are performing it. especialy if you are being really wacky characters (ex. really happy, angy, sad, mad, silly, etc.). also, if the persons not a very good...

gift ideas? Posted Saturday February 3 2007, 4:18 am
What should I do for my boyfriend on Valentines day? I'm not sure if he is working that day so I don't know if I can take him to the movies.
I'm going to make him a card, but I want to get him something else.
Also, his birthday is a week after. I'm not sure what to get him. I don't have a lot of money.
And he refuses to tell me what he wants.
But even if he slips out "I want..." in conversation. He may already be getting it or someone else might get it for him.
He already has a watch, doesn't seem to like hats.
So I don't know D:
Any ideas?

Theatre teacher and favoritism Posted Saturday January 20 2007, 10:23 pm
Well my theatre teacher seems to do things unfaily and favor people sometimes. For example, he always picks my friend for the main part in every show and the thing is, it's so unfair to the upperclassmen who have more skill and have been doing theatre longer than my friend (my friend is a freshman.) My friend is good and all, but it seems like my theatre teacher is always cheating the upperclassmen out of good parts, I mean because my friend has had the lead role in plays before and she has many more theatre shows to go, so I don't see why he doesn't just pick some upperclassmen for the roles, because all of the upperclassmen are better at acting than anyone else in the whole drama club and yet, he's never given any of them a lead role. I, ...

poetryyy! Posted Friday January 19 2007, 4:28 pm
By John Clare
I am—yet what I am none cares or knows;
My friends forsake me like a memory lost:
I am the self-consumer of my woes—
They rise and vanish in oblivious host,
Like shadows in love’s frenzied stifled throes
And yet I am, and live—like vapours tossed
Into the nothingness of scorn and noise,
Into the living sea of waking dreams,
Where there is neither sense of life or joys,
But the vast shipwreck of my life’s esteems;
Even the dearest that I loved the best
Are strange—nay, rather, stranger than the rest.
I long for scenes where man hath never trod
A place where w...

Singing! Posted Saturday January 6 2007, 4:10 am
I love to sing even though I'm flat and I need to control my breathing. (From what my thespian friends have told me)
So I'll love to get tips. Any songs to sing? I know there's musicals and such to sing from but please list songs for altos.
I've tried looking and I struggle to sing the songs from musicals. It seems to go too high or something.
The only song I can sing is Sunday Morning by Maroon 5 :\
