Disks/pictures

ok well something happened to our comp and my dad has to uninstall and reinstall and i have all these pics on my comp and i want to save them but i dont know how. i have too many for floppy disks because it would be using way to many of them. i have cd-r and dvd-r disk and i was wondering if i could save pics on them and if i can how? if i cant use that kind what should i use? i have a cd burner but i am not sure how to get the pics on the disk.. plz help i have less than a week to do this!

PC Camera

I used to have Windows 98 on my old computer..and i had this good-quality webcam for years. (It's by INTEL. Even todays webcam software is HORRIBLE compared to it.) Well since i got a new laptop and have Windows XP, i cant install it on my computer. (The webcam software was made before XP even came out.) My dad says i can easily download free software off the internet..and not have to buy a new camera and CD. Well ive looked and a lot of the programs are low-quality. I dont want to just download everything i come across because it can harm my computer. Does anyone know of a good webcam software that i could download? If so, where do you suggest me looking for it? I want something thats just as good as my old webcam program (not too fuzzy! T...

IP address?

I do not understand IP addresses at all. What are they for? How can you track someone through them? I know everyone has one and they are used for internet purposes. I just don't know what purposes or why someone would want to know someone else's. This all arose when I saw something that said when you go in the advicenators chatroom (I believe using the CGI thing) everyone can see it. I wasn't sure if that was good or bad. So can someone please explain to me what this is for?

Laptop Print Screen Key?

Ok, my friend has this Compaq Presario (laptop), and there is no print screen key. She really needs to get her screen copied to her 'clipboard' so she can put it on paint (she wants to make msn avatars using cartoon dolls) and I don't know how to help her because I'm not using a laptop!!! Is there some control+? combination or something? This is urgent...thanks!
NOTE: I've tried google and other help sites but can find nothing...

Flopp Disk

I've been using a floppy disk for about 2 years now. All of a sudden a few weeks ago, when I tried to open it an error meesage came up and said "The disk in drive A is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?" I was told formatting would erase everything on the disk, so I didn't do that. Does anyone know of any way to fix the disk, or can I go someplace to have the info taken out of the disk, or buy a product that'll fix the disk. Thanks you so much... this is very important to me.

Ok, so on my computer I am trying to get a background on my home screen of a picture of Tyler HIlton. I copy a picture from the web, save it, then go onto Paint. When I get to paint and try to set it as a background, it tells me to save the file. I try saving it, (again) but it wont let me save it so I cant get the picture as a background. Any help would be awesome, because its kinda confusing. Thank alot

I want to buy a compact video camcorder but I want it functional with a Mac computer. Any suggestions if you have any? I want one not too expensive 600 max. Do you have any experience with any good ones?

Photoshop

I was trying to download the try and buy version of photoshop, but in the beginning of the download it asked me to insert a disc to continue with the downloading process. I tried to click cancel but then it just cancelled the whole installation. Any ideas on how to get past that part without needing a disc?

Ok, if you somehow make a fake human body, wheather as real as you can get, or a metal designed one, or a robot, and put the brain of someone in it, but keep the brain alive and successfully put it in another body which you bring back; is it possible to bring that creation to life? will that body have a soul? If having trouble, read doctor Frankenstien for more details. This one has stumpted me. Help me out people.

every time i try to answer a question on this website,its says chatspeak problem please answer in english and i do. does this happen to anyone else,i answer in perfectly good english i even did spelling and grammar check.is this happening to anyone else?what can i do?

I have this game for PS2 that's called Theme Park Roller Coaster, but my only problem is I don't know how to make a roller coaster with the rating "Ultimate". Has anyone ever played this game and if so how do you make a roller coaster that's "Ultimate"

Hey I was just wondering, because I have a Samsung Digimax 130 camera, and it was on the top shelf of my desk and fellow like 5 inches down to the next, and now it won't work! Yikes! How do you delete a homepage?!

Hey guys, I was just wondering if there was anyone that had AOL on here that could help me with something. I want to delete my homepage if I can, but I'm not sure how. The one I have now is the first one I have ever made, and I really don't want it on my profile anymore! If anyone can,please help me! I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much! :-)
