ECE-Early Childhood Education

I love working with children and decided to go into ECE after completing a co-op program in a grade 1 class room. My original goal was to become a Teacher but since I couldn't get into University I decided to start with college but now that I realise how hard it is to get into teachers colege I realise my dream may stop at completing Just the diplome for ECE. I just gto back at my placement at a daycare centre and do not like it, I love the children but the role that the otehr ECE are taking are not my type. I hardly saw them interact with the children and they are JUST babysitting. I became an ECE so as not to JUST babysit. I want to make a difference. my question is to people with experience as ECE, is this how it is, do ece spend the maj...

Online College

I was wanting to start online college sometime in January. I want to be a nurse, but I'm not sure if I can take the basic classes online or if I have to actually be on campus. Can anyone give me as much information as they can about college online? I don't need colleges info, just how it works, what it's like, and how everyone likes it.

College Essay- Losing My Hair

So, for my college essay I was thinking of writing about a point in my life when I basically had to cut all my hair off because it was falling out. I'm a female, and at the time short hairstyles weren't in fashion and we know how society judges people. I am also an African American so the pressure of keeping up to date is even worse in my opinion, compared to any other race. But,my goal isn't to make the person who's reading my essay pity me or whatever. I built my self confidence and learned to deal with the troubles that life sometimes offer and how i over came my obstacles. Do you get how i'm trying to come across? do you think this is a good topic choice? What do you think?

premier application

so i received a "premier application" through the mail from hawaii pacific university. it said i could get the application fee waived, i don't have to write a personal statement, and i don't need recommendations. this seems like the best situation ever, so is it legit? and since its called a premier application, does that mean I'm applying early action? early decision? if its early decision i don't want to do it so any help I'd LOVE. thank you thank you thank you!
it also says send in by december 1st and you'll get your decision by december 31st

soo i live in texas and i'm going to be a pediatric nurse practioner when i grow up. (just a pediatric nurse and the practioner part means i can write prescriptions too) well i have 7 classes a day and im making 5 a's and 2 b's
well to make up for my b's i plan on getting A LOT of volunteer work. well what im trying to get to is do i first go to UT college (for how many years?) AND THEN go to like UTMB?? (for how many years?) because my dad said i just go straight to medical school but that doesn't sound right? so yea im getting pretty confused
and also could you give me as much information as possible about being a Pediatric Nurse Practioner.
(how much i would make in a year etc.)

so me and my friend are stuck in town going to university together, but we're not really feeling like we're in university, it feels more like high school or an after school program. it's our first year and we're not sure if it's just us or if we have to adjust, but our friends that went away to school say they're having fun, is this normal first year feelings? is it going to get any better?

i won the election for president of 2010 for my uni.i really want to make this work and become a president that people will really like. i dont wnat anyone who voted for me to regret voting for me.
what i want to ask is..well does anyone have any ideas for social events that people will go to.i mean if your a student at uni what type of social events would you wnat to go to keeping in mind that theres a budget. i mean what types of things can i do to improve my university so that its less stressful and a better place where people socialise and have fun...

i want to be a writer, and go to a literature school of some sort that majors in all that good stuff.
unfortunately, i dont really have anything that interesting that i could put on my college application. i dont stay after school, i dont do community service, i dont do sports (mainly because i just hate them). im not on the school newspaper (i think i missed my interview time...), and nothing will make me stand out for college.
anything i could do that would help me out here?

Randomisation in probability

ok so i have an assignment about stats-probability.A. one of the questions ask me why do we need randomisation in the probality invatigation we did and to mention possible bias.
the investigation was to determine how many red and yellow plastic teddy bear toys were in the black bay. altogether there are 11 teddies and we pulled out one teddy and recorded the colour of that teddy on a tally chart.we did this 140times.
B. another question was why we preselected to pull out the teddybears 140 times out of the bag and to mention possible sources of bias. i answered this and said that it was so it was fair because if you leave the test open ended then you would keep going to get the answer you want.

name change on facebook so colleges can't search?

i'm a senior, and a lot of my friends on facebook are changing part of their names or last names so colleges won't search for them or something. i don't really understand why though. i mean i'm sure a lot of them have pictures that colleges wouldn't find appropriate, but do colleges actually search for people and judge them based on what they see?

hello my name is john and im tired of working for minimum wage i need to do something i think i just found out what i want to do. see the thing is that i work for pizza hut for like about 3 years and we get county health inspectors come all the time i like the way people jump up and emmidiately start working and labeling things but anyways ya thats what i want to be a health inspector but i dont know what i need to do or who to talk to or for how long do i need to go to school for or do i even have to go to school so if somebody can help me i would appreciate it thank you.

Taking online courses while living on campus..

If I withdrawal from some of my courses at the current university that I'm attending, but I'm still enrolled in one, and I'm living in a dorm room on campus, is it possible to still live on campus while only taking 1 course on campus and a few online classes from the university? Thank you.

my school doens't do media studies, only thetre studies, and i might not be able to do that. if i don't then does it matter if i do a EQP essay on media studies? i wanna be a producer when im older, but i don't have any experience ith drama or theatre. also i looked at example EQP's and all the fun intersting one's got low grades. i anna do one about 'the impact of youtube on different media platforms and the internet' or something like that, but the ones that got a's and a*'s were boring stuff like fashion and women, or hisrtory, and it's just so predictable, and i wann do something, people can relate to, but since its my boring teachers, ho will have to mark this, should i just do something boring and stuffy, to please them, Because i hav...

should i got to a community college for my first year. or should i go to a university? my mom says that its cheaper to go to a community college first and then transfer my credits to a university after i take all the basic courses. but all my older friends that are already in college said that is way more fun to go away to a university and live on campus. im really torn between the two. any advice?? thanks :D
