Information Scam`

Posted Saturday February 4 2006, 5:57 pm

Hi, I am 13 years old and my mom and my (married sister) got a letter from a local collage saying that they found a file on the Google search engine saying that they had their SSN, Address, etc. But the reason that I think it's a scam is because first of all my mom is 48 and my sister is 28 and they have NEVER applied for a collage application or even went to collage. But in the letter it said something along the lines of "Student ID, Academic Plan, Admit Type, and Academic Load." So do you think it's a scam. My sister and mother never use the computer!

Posted Monday January 30 2006, 9:45 pm

Ok, well our school is doing this trip to Europe for next summer, and I REALLY want to go, but my mom says I can't unless I raise the money myself. I don't know how I'm going to get the money, cause it's a really expensive trip, but I really want to go. Anyone got any ideas on how I can raise the money? And I'm too young to get a job anywhere... Please help! Thanks!

non repayment of loaned amount

Posted Friday January 27 2006, 8:01 am

my father,65 on retirement in 1998 had loaned 2 million rupees to a relative's firm by cheques but no legal documents were prepared as the amount was loaned in good faith.the understanding was that a 18% interest will be paid yearly and the principal amount will remain intact.over the years some amount was paid but never equal to the full interest amount .it was assumed that the remaining amount is credited with the principal amount.as on date the amount stands at 3 million rupees.

money stopped coming over the last one year inspite of repeated reminders.ultimately last month when asked to refund the full amount, the relative refused to give any more money back henceforth siting finnancial constraints.as there is no other sour...

Okay, so this is long. But, I went to summer camp with this REALLY amazingly hot guy, well call him Jake. Okay, well I wasn’t exactly nice to Jake. Its kind of confusing but I guess I was jealous that he flirted with a lot of other girls and it was a couple summers ago so I was about 12 and yeah, stupid with boys. I added him as a friend on myspace like forever ago. And, we never really talked on it but I was basically in love with him. He lives like 15 minutes away from where I live. Anyways, I never saw him again and he never commented my myspace or anything. Well, one day, I guess he noticed me because he left me 3 picture comments! They all said “Gorgeous.” And “Youre so beautiful.” I was shocked. And THEN he left me a message...

Mom

Posted Friday December 16 2005, 9:12 am

See my family has a lot of money but my parents don't like people to know, I think it embaress them. Anyway, a long time my mom and dad came to an agreement, my dad would pay for some things and my mom would pay for others. But lately what my mom pays for is more then my dad she runs out of her money really quickly {she's a teacher}. So lately she's been really stressed out about money, which I think it's silly because we have so much. They told me they are saving it for retiring and college for me and my sisters. But I want my mom not to worry, I mean I'm a teenager and I need stuff, not to metion the Holiday stress she has on her. Is their anyway I can help her? {Like the grocery bill is wicked high every week and she's already paying for classes for my sister.}

seemingly rich but not too comfortable

Posted Friday December 9 2005, 6:13 am

i'm married to a wonderful man who likes to bear upon himself the burden of others. he sees it as a responsibility to help people who are financially in need. in fact, others are on top of his priority list. i'm not unhappy about this but what makes me unhappy is that people believe i'm equally wealthy and also approach me for assistance and most times i find it difficult to meet up to expectation. what do i do?

debit card

Posted Sunday November 27 2005, 1:18 am

i had a debit card, keyword had. i gat it because i would lose my wallet often, and my money, i though that debit cards didnt allow you to go over your limit. that is evidently not true, i racked up $218 dollars in debt, without a single transaction being more that 10 dollars, i was then charged $60 for every overdraft, but the card was still accepted. is that supposed to happen?

Spending too much

Posted Monday November 21 2005, 11:59 am

My husband spends money almost non-stop, and we're going broke. I've tried several ways to stop him from spending like he does, but it's almost like it's an addiction for him. How can I get him to spend less money? I've shown him our budget and explain many times how important it is that we stick with it. Still, he's run our bank account into the negative twice in just a few months.

The best idea I've had is something like a pre-paid credit card. I'm not sure what I mean. For example, I put $100 on it, and he can spend and spend, but never go over his limit. Is there something like that? I'm open to any other ideas as well. Thanks!

Need an urgent answer on :What to say to my manager?

Posted Saturday November 12 2005, 5:08 am

Here is my problem: I recently started to work part-time as a teacher in a private center. I realized my manager is sneaky. He recently asked me for a photocopy of my course material that I wrote for my students . My students have already photocopied this course material, so my manager doesn't need a photocopy. I believe he wants to make a book out of this course material. The thing is I spent 4 whole months preparing this material . I'm not about to let someone take my time and painful efforts and make a profit of it behind my back. How can I tell him that I don't want to give him a photocopy without risking losing my job? I need the money. Waiting impatiently for an immediate answer as I have work today.

What's the catch?

Posted Thursday November 3 2005, 4:13 pm

I want to be a live-in nanny and these get an average salary of £300 a week. They don't pay rent, food, or electricty etc bills and generally get a car provided. I have a vague idea that my costs over the year would be: toiletries, optician costs, dental costs (but no medical costs as we have the NHS in England), a few clothes, insurance. Do you think I have covered everything? It's just that I worked out that if I did get the average of £300 a week and had only those costs, I could end up saving about £12-13,000 a year (and I have been generous in estimating how big my costs would be). Does anyone know where the catch is? It seems far too easy.

Some opinions on jobs and such.

Posted Tuesday November 1 2005, 6:23 pm

Alright, here is the deal.

I am moving on the 26th of this month. It was a spurr of the moment thing, which I know it's the wisest thing becuase you should have time to save up and plan. But this is just how things have to be.

I have informed my current employer that I will be moving. I haven't given him a date becuase I'm not sure when exactly I want to quit. The 19th marks the end of the new pay period. I'm scheduled to work three days after that, I'm not sure if it's worth it to work and go through the hassle of trying to get my check that will only be a little over 100.00. Opinions?

I also just got a job with blockbuster too, I haven't started yet - I got the job before I knew I was eve...
