calories

i'm 16. female. 118 pounds.

i run alot..and bicycle..and elliptical..and arm weights..and do different ab exercises. altogether it takes me about 2 hours a night.

how many calories should i be eating a day to lose a little pudge in my lower stomach and upper thighs?

I have been studying for many years on the subject of the effects of diet and health. About 1 year ago I decided to do a website to help any one who had a need or desire to be healthier. I have found tons of facts that absolutely prove a poor diet will make you sick in some way. The problem is to this day my site is rarely visited, I have found great cook books that deal with healthy living and great organic products. Why is it that no one is interested in this info. I can tell my home page is clicked but not many stay long enough to actually find out what my site is about. Don't sick and anemic people actually want help? www.healthfix4life.com

Does weight REALLY matter?

Ok. I'm 14 year old girl and i'm going into highschool this year. I'm over weight, (Trust me, I know i'm over weight. I'm NOT one of those girls who are really skinny, or normal and say they're fat. My doctor even says to lay off the food because of my cholesterol, and weight. Even my parents agree.) But that should'nt matter because of course, they should like you for who you are, not your apperance. Am I right? Well, i'm wondering if i'm wrong, and it really DOES matter, because you see, my friends have boyfriends and they have perfect bodies. (I know that happiness does'nt come from dating, but I can't help it.) I guess you could say i'm jealous, but thats not the point. Does weight really matter? And, if it does or does'nt, does anyone ...

On the site teens.sparkpeople.com, there's a meal maker thing. It helps you set goals, fitness and nutrition. It tells you what you should eat all day, depending on how much weight you want to lose and by when, etc. For example, for breakfast, two waffles with syrup, turkey bacon, yogurt, and apple juice. It tells you exactly what kind of bacon and how much. Is there any other site that will do this? Thanks.

I don't know if this is the right category but here goes. My friend (&yes, i'm being serious that this is my friend and not me) told me that she can't eat and food makes her want to throw up.
She's one of my closest friends so idk what to do to help her cause I'm not a doctor or anything. I was wondering if anyone here ever had that happen or knows anything to help it.
If this helps, she's healthy, 13, and has not had any issues with anorexia/bulemia.

fat and protein

Do you think i have to worry about eating a fattening food if it has twice as much protein then it does fat?

For example, I ate a Smokehouse Turkey sandwich at Panera Bread. It has 28g fats, 54g protein, and 790 calories. I know your body burns off more calories while digesting protein, and I also burn about 555 calories during exercise every night.

Would the fat and the protein all balance out?

as a baby i drank milk. yes. but as i started to grow older once i was about in 1st grade my body started rejecting milk and water. i'd throw up.. i dont drink water nor milk.. i'm not lactose intolerant either.. ive talked to my doctor but all he says is drink water.. but i cant!!! ive tried but i can't. which is funny because it has no taste or smell but i just cant stand it.. nor milk =/ what do i do?? any advice?

Trouble eating meat

I'm having trouble eating beef. I need to eat more meat, but I really don't like the way it tastes.

What are some ways I can make this easier? Like certain dishes where you can't take the meat that much?

For instance, I don't like eating roast beef or steak because it's simply just meat all by itself. I want to cover it up with flavor or sauce, like a stir fry or something, but what other dishes are there?

I couldnt find the right category. Sorry!
But I was in a doctors office not too long ago and picked up an old issue of Whole Living. I didnt think to write down which issue it was.
But I remembered seeing an article about restoring your hairs natural waves or something with a recipe made at home.
I remember it being a mixture of warm water, sea salt, and a few drops of grapefruit juice or something as a substitute for the fruit juice;; you just spray it on toweldried hair.
Well if anyone has heard of such a thing, please let me know! It would help if I knew how much of each ingredient I should have and where to find some sea salt. Thanks :]

foods go together?!

i was just wondering if there are certain foods you are not meant to eat together with, for example, milk and meat isn't good for you... im not sure about that, it is just an example. so please could someone help me understand if there is one, and if there isnt,.... why?!
if there is, which foods??
i would like to eat my crackers with cheese and corriander, 2 thing i love!! but i don't know if it is good or not for my body n diet and all that. apparentl, if you have the deep 'cut' on ur tongue, vertically, it means the foods you are eating, the mixture, isn't good... so confused really.

Rainforest and Milk

I've been drinking Silk soy milk, mainly because it's much healthier than cow's milk. I've been reading about the connection with deforestation in the rainforests and soy beans, but I can't find a list of which big name soy milk brands don't get their soy from the rainforest.
If you have any knowledge of which brands aren't harmful to the rainforest (and which are) please let me know.
Also, what other milk alternatives aren't connected with the rainforest? (Rice milk?)

food obsession

i absolutley LOVE food. i'm 16 and i weigh about 119 pounds. all of the food in my house is basically low fat or lean..but i constantly eat. i'm always hungry and i guess that means i have a high metabolism. but sometimes, i feel like i eat to much and i can't stop. then i pretty much feel fat for the rest of the day and it really affects me because i don't feel like leaving the house. i would really like to lose a few pounds and tone up some more..and i need to know how to stop these eating cravings.

i also run 3 miles every night, uphill bike about 3 miles, go on an elliptical for 15 minutes, some arm curls, and different ab exercises. i've been on this regimen for a few weeks and i think i need a change because i noticed a...
