I find it difficult to be assertive at work.
There is a task at work that I keep being made to do, and I find it extremely stressful.
I am expected to do it because they took the time to train me, and because its expected of me as an employee who has been there for years (compared to people who have been there for only months).
The problem is, every time I tell my bosses that I don't want to do it, they don't really understand. When I am rostered on to do it, I refuse to, and I make them find someone else to do it. I have said to them "I already told (our store manager) and (our rostering manager) that I can't do it", and I have told them I don't want to do it because it is stressful and makes me anxious. I know it's good to be social and stuff, but I don't want any friends at my new school... Friends mean drama, and I just don't want to deal with it this year. Is there a way to make people not talk to me (Without them disliking me or making a fool of myself for them not to) or to make them stop talking to me when they do?..

I got hired to work on my college housing staff. I am 18 and female and the guy I will be talking about is 19. So, I thought he was cute for a while. We talk, we joke, he laughs at my jokes, my eyes always search for him first in a crowded room. Tonight, we had staff bonding, we watched a movie in the basement. My roommate and one of my other best friends on staff sat together, so the cute guy came over to me and asked if he could sit next to me to which I said of course. OK So we had this basics for Marching thing for the Band and Guard. It was specifically for the Incoming Freshmen (I am a Freshman; 14/f) BTW I;m in the guard. I am a Second year vet (I have been in the Guard/Band for a full year and it's my second year) and I know how to march but Guard was required to come. Well I sort of ran into this guy there (at the high school) He's in my grade and in the band. He seems really cool and I'd like to become good friends with him. I have band camp in two days so I need advice on how to become friends with him. Thank you!

So me and my boyfriend of a year and a half who I was madly in love with broke up last week. He broke up with me. I thought i would be devastated but i was more relieved. I have horrible anxiey and it causes me a lot of problems. The main problem this causes is the lack of ability to talk to anyone. I can not go up and talk to anyone for just conversational purposes unless they talk to me first. That is how I made friends. This is honestly annoying the crap out of me

So there's this guy that I work with. I'm 18, he's 22. He's a sarcastic person but I've noticed that his sarcasm toward me is mean but his sarcasm toward everyone else at work is nice or funny. There is this guy that I just can't stand. Another problem is that he works with me.
That has nothing to do with it though because I knew him before that. I just can't stand this person. He's not even particually mean to others, he's just very full of himself and talks down on everyone in and outside his job. I would just ignore him but obviously I cant. I dont know how to deal with it. I am not the only one who doesn't like him. He even told me that basically noone really wants to be friends with him. I tried to be his friend when I met him but it's just impossible for me. How can I deal with this hate towards him? I seriously wish to see him suffer sometimes. I just cant stand him and I think that I literally hate him.. How can I deal with this?

So naturally when I meet new people I am shy-not an introvert, just shy.
I worry whether they like me, and automatically think people don't.
Well I'm going to Uni soon, and I am freaking out!
I know no one knows each other, but it takes me a while to get 'with the crowd'.
I want to go out, and party etc...but I'm scared I'll make the wrong impression on the first few days and that I'll be left out and stuff.
How can I involve myself more and make a real good impression?

This teacher that I was really close to left my school at the end of the year
and now I'm kind of realising how much I actually miss him. I didn't really say
goodbye to him properly which I really regret
Also, he's moved really far away so I will literally never see him again and
I have no way of contacting him. I was just wondering if anyone has had a
similar experience and/or any tips for how I can cope?

Tension between me and my teacher?

Okay, I was talking to this teacher (I shall call him B). B and I were alone in his classroom talking - which is something we do quite frequently. Anyway, my friend walked in and later when I was speaking to her she commented on how there was 'a lot of tension between me and B when she came in' and that she felt very awkward walking in and as though she was interrupting something. I wasn't really sure what to think seeing as I didn't notice any tension between us (it's not something I'd ever really thought about).

I just got hired at my job about three weeks ago. One of my trainers was a cute boy. He was very nice and taught me a lot, let me do things on the register that other trainers did not. We cracked jokes, got to know each other and everything. That was my first day. I'm now done with training and am able to be alone on a register. However, I did learn register faster than self checkout. My boss said he would keep me after one night to run me through everything. Okay, I'm a 15 year old girl who has been depressed for the past few months.
So there's this teacher who I have got on really well with over the past year. I've known for some time now that he was going to be leaving but I don't think it ever really sunk it. Until today that is, because it's been his last day.
