lazy

Posted Monday March 14 2005, 10:35 pm

I used to be a fairly good student. However, this year(I'm in 11th grade) I have a total lack of motivation. I always do my work at the very last minute because it seems impossible to make myself do it earlier. I've had a lot of narrow escapes when it comes to handing in projects late and stuff, but I never seem to learn from it. It's like I've got the Lazy Disease and it can't be cured! But seriously, that's how I feel. I can never concentrate on my work. It's like I don't realize it's important and then I end up stressing out, but my experience doesn't do anything for next time. I really don't know what to do about this, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Speech

Posted Thursday March 10 2005, 3:18 pm

Hey! Ok, I have to give a speech in 2 weeks about the Great Wall of China. We're studying China and you got a list of things you could make your speech about and I picked the Great Wall. You were allowed to have a partner, but only one of my friends is in my class, and she's friends with another girl, so they're partners. I have to give a speech by myself, and I'm so terrified. I've never liked speeches. It's so hard and I always forget what I'm supposed to say, even if I've rehearsed it a thousand times! And to make things worse, it has to be a MINIMUM of 5 minutes. I'm so scared and don't know what to do. Does anyone have any tips on not being scared? And any good ways to memorize a good speech? And also, any good sites about the Great Wall would be appreciated. Thanks so much!
