Well, I love the guy. I watched his recent show on MTV & just fell in love with him. He is so genuinely sweet & has worked so hard to get where he is & he deserves every single bit of it! Problem is: None of my friends like him. Half of them make fun of the fact that I like him/his music. Some of the comments include, "That pussy from O-Town?", "Oh, the boy with a girl name?" Yeah, umm so what. Honestly, I'm getting fed up with it. I can't prove to every single one of them how down to earth & nice he is, so what am I to do? Do I say something to them about it, or just let it go? It's getting irritating now. I've never liked O-Town, but since Ashley came out solo I've just loved his work. My friends, and b...

14/f i play music (sing & play guitar/piano) and lots of it i would call country music. most kids hate country music, i know! but i love it. i really want to have a carreer in music but i don't want all my friends and people i know to be hating the type of music i play. should i just go for it or should i change my style a little, more pop or rock or something? please tell me your thoughts on any of this. thank you! i rate

yawning and singing

Why when i'm singing, do i yawn every verse or so. I try to hold it back, but i just feel like i need to yawn. Espacially when i take a breath
If anyone knows why this happens or how to fix it, it would be a great help!

vocal range

Usually, I have a vocal range from E3(the E below Middle C) to C6 (The C two octaves higher than Middle C). But whenever I'm in chorus, for some reason, I can barely sing the high A. I don't see why. Does anyone have ideas?
And please, only answer this if you know about the subject.

what are some good bands that aren't that popular.. i'm really into like alternative/rock right now. i actually kinda like the screamo-ish stuff too like that song i'm so sick by flyleaf like it's not the whole song but just a little of it. also like a.f.i miss murder i like them.. and i also like the all-american rejects, p!atd..ya knoww.. lol well yeah so what are some other good bands like those ? =] thanks.

Wicked audition

In choir, we're singing the song "For Good" from the musical Wicked, if you know it. We had an audition for the solo at the beginning ("I've heard it said that people come into our lives.....but I know I'm who I am today because I knew you"). I had practiced singing it in a head voice. But I forgot that if I sing longer than 45 minutes, I can't sing any lower than the E above Middle C in a head voice. The director, suprisingly, called on me first, and I remembered that it had been 2 hours, and I definitely couldn't sing the low B in a head voice. So I had to sing it in a chest voice. In front of the whole chorus. Being a soprano, I have barely any experience singing in a chest voice. Nobody has ever heard my voice alone ...
