lacrosse tryouts are pretty soon and im nervous. ive never tried out for the team before. so for seasoned lacrosse players, what should i expect at tryouts?

i play middle blocker on my club team. does anyone know what are the different kinds of middle blocker hits and how do you hit them? i only know the "1" and "2" but i dont fully understand the "1". ive also heard of "back 2" and "51" and "8".

I am in 8th grade and 13 years old. I want to learn how to play a sport. I think Volleyball is pretty cool or Tennis. I want to play sports in high school but I want experience before I go there. Where can I learn it where it isn't to expensive and what other sports do you think would be good for me? Thanks a lot!

I am on birth control (YAZ), and I have just started the white pills two days ago. Whenever I start the white pills, I get my period. During my period, I'm absolutely miserable. Extremely heavy flow, horrible cramps (I'm usually in bed during my period, they're so bad), constipation. Well, I don't have my period yet, but I know I will be getting it by tomorrow. And what's tomorrow? A very important, two-day swim meet, which takes about eight hours each day.
How can I make this more bearable? I'm already planning to take a million tampons (maybe the super ones, are they comfortable?) and Ibuprofen. Any more suggestions on what I should take? Or anything that will help me have a lighter period?

i dont understand. it sounds contradictory to me. why do you feel more energized after exercise? do you mean in the long run? bc i always feel tired and like crap and the next day theres no difference really. why is exercise really necessary? it sounds like we are tiring out our muscles. its not as if we dont use them at all on a daily basis. what is exercise really for? how does it make us healthy?

JV vs. Varsity Cheer Squad Posted Monday January 7 2008, 8:50 pm
Alright, so, at my school we have a JV/Varsity cheer squad. JV cheers for girls bball team + Varsity cheers for guys bball team. im on the JV team. the coaches said at the beginning of the season that there was NOT going to be a difference in squads they just needed to split it up for games. but then it all started about a month ago when we found out that only Varsity could go to away games, and i was so upset because i signed up for cheerleading for a reason. but, then my coach took me outside in the hallway to tell me that "oh, your better than half he girls in there" "JV was the last one picked..." which really didnt help what so ever. + then it happened tonight at the game we cheered at, we were going to do 2 wicked ...

I'm a tiny girl. I'm 4'11" and about 97 lbs. I really want to go out for spring track. Am I too short to do pole vaulting? If yes, what other events could i do if i am not much of a runner?

Okay this is for my little cousin because like no one in my family knows. But she wants to start gymnastics but shes 12 and I started when i was 6 and im currently a cheerleader and she wants to be a cheerleader when shes older so i told her to get into gymnastics it helps a ton but first: How old do you have to be to start?
and if she cant do that then what sports can she start at that age?

whenever i put my head down or shift even a little, i could see another layer of skin, the double chin. Is there anyway to the double chin? I don't even know how I got that in the first place.

Soo, im 14/f, and ive been a cheerleader my whole life...when i say my whole life, i mean basically forever. im getting ready to go into my freshman year in highschool, and i really want to cheer. it just so happens that the squad for that highschool needs two more members from the 8th grade at my school for a competition. my best friend is trying out and really wants me to do it, but the problem is that the cheerleaders for that highschool have a really, really bad reputation. if i try out tomorrow, its just for that one competition spot, and it doesnt do anything towards trying out for the actual squad next year,, im also getting ready to do volleyball and cheer for my school at the same time, so i wont have a social life at all to spen...

what is the difference between composite leather and synthetic leather on a volleyball? I would use this volleyball for like gym volleyball...not the blow up kind of soft meterial kind of ones. Thanks!!!
