Making Friends

Hey all. Well, I'm 14/f and I'm going to an all-girl Physics camp this Monday. I was wondering how to introduce myself, start up a conversation, and make friends with other people because I don't know them and I don't want it to seem weird and creepy. I'm known as being friendly, and I want to keep that title. Also, I'm about to enter high school next month, and I would like to use these tips for that as well. I would also really appreciate it if you guys could give me topics to talk about because I don't like awkward silence. Thanks a bunch!

okay well i have a few really close friends . and i had alot of other close friends but then they started spreading rumors about me and it just got really annoying and they would always try to b***h me out during lunch and im a really sensitive person so i wouldnt fight back i just cried and walked away . i was really close to my school counselor about this because i would always go up there and just talk about my problems and sometimes when it got to be really bad she would bring it up with the house principle and he would talk to the girls that started this stuff and they never stopped . and they would send me threatening text messages . what do i do? those girls got everyone mad at me . really i have like 5 close girlfriends and the rest are guys

say I like this guy, and I do, I think he likes me too. I mean, he sends all the right signals and we flirt a ton. But Im friends with his younger sister, his best friend hooked up with me awhile ago, and we are on the same swim team, so theres a few obstacles ffor you. I want to make some sort of move. I dont know what though. He gives me rides home and stuff and we also go out to eat after most practices. If anyone had any ideas...that'd be great.

I have a question about banana boat-the dark tanning oil.
What does it do? How often should I apply it?
And do you know if there is any lotion, cream, or spray, etc. That turns your sunburn into a tan?

so, i recently transfered to an girls school from a coed school. so i'm kinda new to the environment. its been about a month of classes alredy and suddenly, i feel a bit different to this popular lesbian. and it MIGHT because i'm starting to like her!! but this can't be happening! i think a girl having a crush on a girl is gRoSS!!! but then, what can i do about it?? how do i stop myself before i do anything stupid!!?? please help me!!

Okay so my boyfriend and I had this big thing well I may of over-reacted but I feel as if I was in the place to just because of the situation.
So my boyfriend and I have been dating nearly 10monthes. When we first met he did all that chewing tobacco also know as *dip*, well I told him I didnt like it an stuff an he quit it. Thing is before like his friends would do it around him an he never let it bug him he would just go get some sunflower seeds or ya know so he wouldnt have to think about wanting to dip.

Making friends/overcoming shyness

I'm going to be a freshman in high school, but I'm really shy. I have 2 best friends that I can be my complete self around and tell anything to, but in high school, we're probably not going to see each other as much.. Plus one of these two friends I have is mad at the other claiming that she hates hanging out with her and always feels like she's the one left out.. But that's a whole different story. I feel like high school is going to change our friendship and kind of like deteriorate it. I have a few other friends too but it's not the same as with my other two friends.. job interests

well im going to be a sophmore next year and i have absolutely no idea what i want to be. obviously i have a dream job, and mine is to become an actress, but in case that whole deal doesnt work out, i want to have another thing for backup. freshman year i just took basics and this year i basically am too but junior im going to really need to think about what classes i want to take because its going to make a difference in colleges and stuff. does anyone know of any quizzes i can take or any thing like that to help me figure it out? thanks!

i know this boy seen 4th grade. we was good friends all. in 5th grade we went together and when i went to a differnt school we started to drifted apart. im in the 8th grade know and he's in the 10 we use to talk and then all of a sudden we stop, for what reason i dont know. we didnt break notfin off. well i moved on and started to meet new people. all of a sudden he called my cell and leave a message saying i should meet him tommorow. and now all this question running through my head. i think the reason he want to meet me is to get back on track with our realationship , but he may just want to use me for a back up girl. i guess my question is that should i meet him or not.

Not cut out for the workplace

Nobody takes me seriously and they think that I'm this little kid who can't do anything right. I try so hard and have even worked loads of overtime to earn some respect but my boss still yells at me over tiny mistakes and I get treated like I'm 6 years old and don't know what I'm doing. I'm good at my job. I used to dress more flirtatiously so I changed my appearence to strictly covered officewear but that hasn't worked. I've tried everything that I can think of but it's draggign me down. Can anyone help me?

okay. there is this school that i am going to for my 10th grade year and i want to go to this school and then i dont. i have known my whole class scince pre-K and now everyone has a great bond with oneanother. i want to graduate with my class and i have made a huge friendship and here is this thing. i am so sad about leaving my crush. i know i shouldnt worry about a boy for this but this year i had this gut feeling that he liked me as well and i was afraid to ask him and im still afraid to call and ask him if he liked me and if he did i would really like to go out with him. he flirted with me so much at all these partiies and he did it infront of his g-friend and didnt care. they broke up like the next day. anyways its one of the top school...

Here's the deal: I really loved this guy and I didn't think he loved me back. But on 4th of July, he said he had a confession to make and he said he loved me and asked me out. I said yes! But I haven't talked to him since and it's been two days. What could he be thinking? Guys, Why would he do this? It's sensless.

so a guy from work (we are just friends) asked me to the movies tonight and i talked to my stepmom and she automatically said no because hes too old for me and she doesnt know anything about him, and i told her she could meet him and everything
im going to be 17 in september hes turning 19 tomaro...whats wrong with that?

Can't stand my trainer

I've been at my job for several months now, and I just got switched to a new position within the job. I'm 21 and female, if that helps.
My problem is that I can't get along with the person who is training me (I'll call her Kim). Kim likes to micromanage, be in control of everything I do, and waste my time.
For example, I asked her how to edit the books and she said for me to do it myself. So I told her exactly what I was going to do and she said to go ahead and do it. So I finished up, put the book away, and started working on something else. She stopped me, told me I had done it wrong, and had me do it all over again.
I've caught her in mistakes and she'll never admit she's wrong. She always fin...

How do I better my social skills?
I'm pretty shy and I have a fear that people are always judging me which makes it hard for me to approach new people and talk to them and make new friends.
Also its hard to show to a boy I have interest in him, when its so difficult for me to start a conversation with him or have small talk.
It seems like the only time I'm really social and talkative to people I don't really know is after I've had a few drinks.
So how do I over come my shyness and insecurities so I can meet new people and be comfortable around them?
