Why you joined advicenators?

I know this isn't really asking for advice, but the last few days I was just thinking about this and wondering why the people here joined.
I guess it is just out of pure curiosity. I would have just posted this in the moderator forum or in the supporter discussion, but I'd rather see why everyone joined rather than just those who have been here for some time and such.
So, why did you join advicenators and why are you still here? What about the site made you want to stay?
I'll probably be one of the first people to answer this (I'm not going to answer it in the question).

i asked a question asking if someone would rate my picture and tell me what they think and they deleted my question
id like to know what was wrong with that. there was nothin wrong about my picture?!

Make ratings a requirement?

I love this web site, but I don't like how half the people on it don't give feedback. On average, when I answer 5 questions, only 1 of them responds with a rating. I like the rating system because it really helps me know if I'm doing a good job, but too many people fail to give ratings.
My suggestion is this: whenever a person asks a question, they cannot ask another until they rate at least some of the answers to the first question. This will get people in the habit of rating and columnists can do a better job.
What do you think?

Stretched out column

I just put up my picture on my profile page.
When i check my advice column thoroughout the day, sometimes my picture would show and sometimes it wouldnt. It would only show a little white box and an x on it.
What is happening?

When you edit an answer, does the person have to look at the question to see the edit, or does it show the little 1 next to "your questions" like it does when you get a new answer?

I answered someones question that got deleted by the admins. She asked me something else in my feedback, so i edited my answer to it and answered her other question. Will she still get what i said to her even though the question was deleted by admins.?

putting a picture up

i have tried and tried putting a picture up on my advice column but it keeps saying its too big
i have to make the picture like TINY TINY to make it actually work and rawrr its making me mad
all of my pictures are jpg's
is there anything i can do?
i don't want to download any programs =P
