im 15 and i woke up @ 5 with a headache..and i had it for an hour and half so my mom let me stay home from school, since its the 1st day i would actually miss school. the other time i was sick she offered to let me stay home, i would go in now bc i feel fine but she went to work. i want to stay in my room for the next 3 hours or so...so my older sister doesnt complain on how i am home from school and i seem perfectly fine. so does anyone know any sites with quotes and stuff on them? besides. quotelove, firehotquotes(which i find lame..no offense or anything)...quotemania and myspace?- thx i rate

homecoming dance

14/F : Well, its my first year at highschool and the homecoming dance is coming up in about 3 weeks. I don't really know if i want to go because i would rather go with a date then a group of friends. :/ sadly though, since i just started, i don't know too many people. it seems like everyone im interested in have girlfriends, and they're going with them. i dont know what i should do and how to be more confident of going to homecoming and maybe finding someone to go with . . . :(
also, my friend invited me to her "winter ball" which is in December, and im more likely to go to that as she goes to an all girl's school, so every guy there will be from another school so i would HAVE to meet new people. i think im g...

Spanish project

Hey. I'm 13/f if that will do any help. Well, I;ve just been assigned a Science project that's due next week Friday, so I have to get to that because I have a math project due on the same day. Anyway, the project is that we have to create a 15-page comic book about anything, and everything has to be in Soanish including the characters' names and the title. If anybody had some good topics for my comic book and titles to go along with it I would really appeciate it because I'm not sure about what it should be about yet. Thanks!

hey well im really bad at math and ive been working hard at this problem all night, but i cant seem to understand how to get the answer, if anybody could help me solve it ASAP that would be great! (honestly i was soo overloaded on homework tonight & so im stressed out too, so thanks for all your help in advance!)
heres the problem:
the capacity of an elevator is either 20 children or 15 adults. If 12 children are currently on the elevator, how many adults can still get on? explain your thinking at each step and your answer(s).

okayy. i NEED IDEAS FOR A HOLLOWEEN PARTY! were having a HUGE one here and we need some ideas on games we can play. something fun. like example you know on mtv they have those things for spring break? and its on tv. The whip cream. guessing games? etc. ANYTHING like that we can relate to holloween would be GREAT.

Hey I'm 15 and decided to do a presenation on that book. For those of you who have read it...any ideas? I would have to pick out certain selections and read and all that stuff. I just don't know which parts to choose. I'm looking for something that stands out and that would actually make people wonder and think. I'm not looking for sites or anything, I've read the book. Today we had to watch an "educational movie" in English and it was about drinking and driving. Well, the cop made a guy take the breathing test thing and on the machine it said, "please blow". My friend and I found that amusing so I decided to write "please blow" on his leg and draw an arrow pointing up (immature yeah, what high school kid isn't?). My teacher then came over and asked us what we were doing. I told him nothing and that I was just writing on my friends leg. He read what was written and wrote both of us up as a level 2 offence. That gives us a Saturday detention. We thought it was so unfair because I mean seriously, how does that deserve a Saturday D-hall? Should we try to fight back with our AP an...

Hey I'm doing a school project thats due tomm. for math, and we have to make an If, then statement. We have to get a slogan from a store or restaurant or something, but I cannot think of anything!! Here's an example the teacher gave: If you eat Subway, then you eat fresh.
Can someone give me some slogans and places and such? You wont be doing my project our anything because we have to do alot of other things to the slogan, but I just need a slogan to start out with! Gracias!

For my English class, I'm supposed to select three current issues, and talk about each one. It's a research essay, where I'm going to need a quote for each issue as well.
The problem is...I'm not into current issues at all. I don't read the news, and I'm not properly educated. The examples she gave us were: racism, poverty, the war in Iraq, domestic or foreign terrorism, international relations, obesity, global warming, the national debt, ect). All of these political things, I would NOT be able to talk about. I know nothing about them. So I'm thinking of picking easier topics, such as racism...and maybe 2 others. I can think of Same-sex marriage and Abortion to write about, but I don't want to do either of those. Does any one...

transition

Hey guys! I'm writing an essay for english on the theme of loneliness in "Of Mice and Men". I'm trying to come up with a transition between 2 of my paragraphs, but I can't think of a good one. The last sentence in the 1st paragraph is 'He was isolated from everyone else, just by being the oldest person on the ranch' (talking about Candy) -this is where I need the transition- I need the new paragraph to start talking about Curley's wife and the ways that she was lonely. Can anyone help me come up with a good transition between those two things? I suck at english, and I really need help. Thanks!
