transfering pictures to my PC

I took some pictures on my Digital Camera and I want to transfer them on my computer. I have a Compaq computer if it helps. I know you have to plug a cord into the camera and computer but that's all I know. I need really detailed intructions please. And I have CoolPix4300 camera if it helps.

This is not a hard computer question so don't get scared away - on my laptop, when I leave or go somewhere I wanna leave AIM up and stuff. To do this I have to leave my laptop open but my dad wants me to close the lid because it's healthier for the computer or something. When I do that, it logs me off (which I don't care about) but it also shuts off AIM. Is there anyway to adjust anything on the computer so that AIM will stay on when I shut the lid? Thanks.

7900 gt KO

Okay I have a couple questions.
1) What is the difference between the evga geforce 7900 gt and 7900 gt KO?
2) Could the evga geforce 7900 run games like Quake 4 or FEAR at highest settings with a great frame rate still? Im afraid it's not a worthy from a 6800 gt so I just wanna know if it is.

whenever i try to download sims 2, it says theres a number on the back of the box you have to put in. but i cant find the right one..
does anyone know where the number is??

I got the Sims 2 when it first came out. It worked fine on my computer, but then we deleted XP, and I couldn't install it again. It said:
A problem has occured when trying to transfer the file 'TSData\Res\Sims3D\Textures.package' from the media. Do you want to retry to copy the file, or cancel the installation?
If I click retry, it goes up 1%, then it comes up again. It'll go to 100% and just stop. When my aunt came over, I asked her if she knew what it was or how to fix it, and she said that when we deleted XP, we deleted something and we need that to install it. She didn't have time to fix it. So, I was wondering if anyone knew what this was and how to fix it. Is it the graphics card? I asked someone on another website, an...

My computer recently crashed so everything was lost on it. There was one program I can't seem to find again : Zichanger 4. It's a program for AIM to change colors. When I did a google search for the download I couldn't find it anywhere. Could someone possibly help me find it?

scanning/ printing cord

does anyone know what a scanning/ printing cord looks like?
i need to scan something but i can't find the cord that goes to the scanner... i don't even know what it's supposed to look like.
i found a cord that's coming off it, but the thing your (supposedly) supposed to use doesnt fit anywhere in my computer!

ok well i have a program called 'imesh' and well you can download music and videos on it .. it is super protected and cealed so you cant copy any songs on a cd "awwww" anyway.. i hate using limewire...because it skips songs when i go on another page and then goes crazy.. so thats why i love imesh.. though you have to pay after a certain time.... i clicked download to downlaod a song but it says my time has expired....soooo.... i couldnt donwload anymore....so in order to continue to download i have to pay.. thats what i think it bothering it because in the 'start' window it has 'imesh' and its icon .. i click it .. then the timer comoes up right next to the arrow.. then it goes away .. i have been wanting it to come up for so long...
