Psychology? Psychiatry? and what level of degree. Posted Wednesday September 15 2010, 10:16 pm
Ok so I have a fascination with mental conditions, etc, that severly interfere with living normally, more serious cases and rehabilitation. What degrees would i need if i was to get a job working most of the time with a person? Is there any way a degree in communications study would help?

confused with everything that has to do with school. Posted Wednesday September 15 2010, 2:34 pm
I'm 20 years old and I thought I knew what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. Turns out, I don't. Big surprise! I'm currently a transfer student and I'm now attending Penn State University for my Junior and Senior years. At first I thought I wanted to go here, I did since I was little. But now that I'm here I don't think I like it. It's so big, way different then what I'm used to, and I feel like I can't get the proper attention I need to focus in class when my classes have 200+ people in them. I don't have a lot of friends up here because I always sit beside someone different and I never get their names. But I don't want to regret leaving if I do decided to go to another college. So I'm confused.
I am currentl...

college questions Posted Friday September 10 2010, 1:29 am
I have some college questions, and I would appreciate anyone who could answer them.
1.) Can you start online college applications before you take the SAT and ACT. I'm taking one in a week, and the other in a month. But can I start the applications then send in the scores when I get the results? I'm confused about the online process that most schools are doing now.
2.) When do you apply for finacial aid and scholarships? Before or after you apply to the college? Or do you wait until you are accepted to apply for finacial aid?
Thank you.

Joint honours or a minor Posted Thursday September 9 2010, 3:27 pm
Hello,
I'm currently a second year university student, and I cannot decide whether I want to do a joint honours or a minor in something. My top choices for joint honours/minor is either English or Psychology (in case my major is a bum thing LOL).
How do joint honours and minors differ in future endeavors like masters or teacher's college?
Is one more favourable than the other?
Is one more work than the other?
Thank you :)

Florida Universities? Posted Saturday September 4 2010, 10:25 pm
Do I have a good chance of getting into any university at all in Florida? I've been looking at Catholic ones too.
My GPA is 74% (They didn't tell me on a 4.0 scale...), I currently take an AP course, I'm in an honors class, I've had good grades both 11 & 12th grade (my GPA is low because 9th and 10th grade was hard for me..), I'm in 3 after school clubs, I do some community service (a few hours in all; more will be done this year), I have really good recommendations from my teachers (about 3), In all I've had 4 years of math, 3 years of science (2 years with a lab), 1 year of a foreign language, 4 years of english, 4 years of history/social science, and 4 years of electives, I will be graduating with a Regents Diploma fr...

College opinions. Posted Tuesday August 24 2010, 9:17 am
Next year I will be going to college. My gpa isn't very good (2.5) so I assumed I'd have to go to a community college for two years then transfer somewhere better. Going to community college my parents could pay for all
of it. The plan was I'd get a job and save up for after community college so I wouldn't have to get loans or be in debt. However all my friends are going to Kent (in Ohio, party school) and it seems like a lot of fun there. I heard I can get in with my gpa. It's not too expensive there but more then community obviously. Which means all my money and
my parents would go to it plus I'd have to take
out some loans. Do you think I'm making a mistake by not going away? Kent is only an hour away...

will i have a better chance of getting into villanova? Posted Thursday August 19 2010, 11:05 pm
16/F
My Grandpop is an alumni, my uncle is stationed in the monastery there, and my great uncle was president of the university. There is also a dormitory building on campus named after my family (it has my last name) I'm a pretty good student, though I haven't taken my SATs yet. What I'm saying is that will any of these things help my chances of admission? Oh I'm going to be a Junior by the way lol.

i'm going to be a freshman in college this fall. but i'm undecided and now i'm thinking about being a film/TV major and plan on transferring for my sophomore year.
i have no film experience whatsoever, but it's something i'm really interested in. so i was wondering if anyone knew of schools, anywhere in the US (but preferrably california or the northeast), where i can apply as a transfer film student without experience.
