Can't seem to lose any weight Posted Monday April 27 2009, 6:37 am
So I've been dieting for about two weeks now after my doctor told me to lose 10 kilos (about 20 pounds)
I'm 5'3 and weigh 154 pounds.
I want to lose 10 kilos, so I want to get down to about 132 poiunds.
On her orders, I walk for an hour every day. I haven't eaten any white bread, white pasta, potatoes, etc. I haven't had any junk food of any kind. I haven't had any lollies, or chocolate. I refuse to eat anything with over 6 grams of fat in it. The only meat I've eaten is chicken and fish, and I've only eaten that grilled.
I've been eating lotsa fruit, and veggies now and then. I have salad for lunch often. Sometimes I don't eat dinner at all. I don't eat anywhere near as much as I did before I went on the...

Does anyone have any weight loss success stories?
I work out 4x a week, drink nothing but water, and eat pretty healthy and can't seem to lose a pound. I'm losing all my motivation.
Anyone got any good inspirational stories of their own so I don't result to starving myself again?

i didnt eat very many calories maybe 1000 during the day. but then my sister and me got coldstone and papa johns a small pizza i had 2 small slices of papa johns original cheese pizza and prolly a cup of cake batter coldstone ice cream. how many calories is this? and is this okay since i didnt eat many calories during the day? i ate this about 9 o'clock at night prolly 3 hours before bed

Hi i as wondering how do people get taller? i am an asain american so therefore it's a bit hard however,my whole family are around like 5'5-5'9 but i am barly 5'1.I am 15 .Female. I eat regulary and eat calcium but i dont know what to do.I am scared that i wont be able to grow anymore and be short forever,
which will really suck when i reach my 30's.
Is it also true thatgirls stop growing as soon as their period begins?

i want to loose a few pounds in order to get a little more into shape and to look better in my dress for prom coming up in a month or so. i'm currently starting training for soccer but need to cross train in order to get the desired effect. will drinking lots of water help 'cleanse my body' and drop a few pounds? or is that just a myth? if so, does anybody have any suggestions for dieting to loose just a few pounds? i'm going to cut back on sweets and start eating healthier as much as possible. any other tricks to help drop weight faster? thanks so much!

I have thin, medium-short hair, and it's really dry. I'm sick of it. Honestly. It makes me so depressed. All I can do is tie it and never tightly, because I have a round face and it's unflattering to have tight, wound back hairstyles. I have been seeing one of the best doctors in NY for my hair. They've done every test possible and gave me Rogaine. (didn't work) I take a Biotin vitamin everyday. I NEVER straighten, blowdry, or curl my hair. Nothing. No colorings, perms, etc. It's completely natural. I get it trimmed once every 6 weeks. I work out 4-5 times a week. I eat healthy, no fast food, soda, candy, etc. But nothing is working and I'm so fed up. I used to have long, thick hair when I was even 7 or 8, and then when I hit ag...

So im a 22 year old female, about 5'5 and weigh only 109. Im under weight and am dying to gain some weight. I don't really know what to do. Its weird because I do eat a lot of junk that would make most people blow up. Any help is apperciated :)

I've been taking protein shakes for a while now, mostly whey protein, and occassionaly this new creatine product that I take before workouts called cytonox.
If there are any nutritionists on this website... what would be the best product overall for after workouts, as in what's the healthiest decision amongst the protein shakes out there. And also what's the best product overall for creatine based products?

This is usually what I eat, but I don't know if it's a good diet or not. It's low in calories and fat, but according to TheDailyPlate.com it's high in carbs and sometimes sodium. Let me know what you think.
For breakfast, I usually have either a VitaMuffin (google them!) with fruit, or a Dannon Light & Fit yogurt. Sometimes instead I have the yogurt with fruit. For lunch, I have either a turkey sandwich on whole-wheat bread with fruit, yogurt, or sugarfree jell-o, or a veggie dog. For dinner, I usually have a whole can of vegetable Campbell's Select Harvest Light soup with a piece of toast, a boca burger mixed with some bell peppers and egg whites, or low-calorie Lean Cuisine or Smart Ones meals, usually being a chicken or shrimp...

So usually during the week, I skip going to the gym for a day, maybe 2. I skipped going last Friday, then I've been going every day since Saturday, but I don't want to go today. I've eaten altogether about 500 calories in all my 3 meals, and I'm going to a spin class tomorrow morning, so is it okay to not go once out of a week?

Well, i am 15/F 5'5 and i weigh around 124 . i want to lose 5 pounds and get reallly toned. And for summer, i'd like to have at least visible abs and a more fit butt. Is there any way that i can do this by the time that summer comes? what could be some workout plans, or eating plans?

i hardly ever go 'number two'. usually, only a two times a week. i decided to take laxatives to help me go, but they only 'kind of' work. like, i'll go to the bathroom, but i'll still feel like i'll have to go more afterwards.
does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?
what foods can i eat to help 'keep thing going'?
i hate hardly ever going to the bathroom because i'll start to feel sick and such.

I am a vegan. I have been one my WHOLE life. I dont eat meat, fish, peanut butter, a rare amount grains... just purely fruits and vegetables for the most part. I have a reaction when i have too much protein, so I take this "anti-protein shake" to give me the vitamins that i need. I am getting bored with what im eating... and i NEVER get full, so i eat excessively. Is there anything that you have had or can recommend that is not made of meat or dairy, but that is a good tasting dish? Im just getting bored and have resorted to junk foods- which is a BIG no-no. I want to eat GOOD foods, but I also dont want to feel hungry all the time like just eating fruits and vegetables does for me.
Any help would be great.

My boyfriend recently lost a lot of weight, because he was ill.
Problem is, he was already almost underweight.
Now he's 5'6 and 110 lbs.
We both agree that he needs to get back to his old 130, at least, he looks sickly now.
Does anyone on here have any ideas as to how he could gain this weight back in a healthy manor?

i cant stop eating and its driving me crazy.. iv had belimia before and this is how it normally starts. i dont want it to come back... how can i stop myself eating and feel full?
i never feel full and i freaking out cos i cant stop myself from eating and if i eat way to much i make myself sick. can can i stop this???
i know if i dont get it under control i will stop eating altogether and i dont want that cos i know my fear is getting fat but im only 55kg whats wrong with me????

I'm five feet tall and weigh about 117 lbs. It's not that bad, considering I have muscle on me, but I also have partially larger thighs, upper arms, and a gut.
My question is, any tips on losing weight?
I want to get a flat stomach, or mostly flat stomach, by summer and I want to lose at least 7 lbs. I know you have to do aerobics, running, etc. etc., but is there any other way to make the process faster?
