my dad died when i was 12 and I still get upset about it every now and then and now since the anniversary of his death is coming up soon this month i've been feeling upset more than ever he died about 5 years ago is this normal?

my dad told me i have to get a job before i can get my license and a car. but the problem is i dont want a job and here lately he has been takin me to look at cars. i always try to tell him i dont want a job and hes like well i guess you wont be driving. but i dont understand WHY he wants me to get one, hes always tellin me about how if i want to go to my dream college (texas), well ANY college, then i have to get a scholarship. how in the world does he expect me to get one if im always going to be working? i play softball so of course i would have to probably quit just so i would have time to do my school work. i mean i have explained this stuff to him and he doesnt get it! i get out of school at 212 and practice starts at 230, and i dont ...

Well, you see, I have a really messed up mom. She tries to make me and my sister hate my dad. They are divorced. And she is making are lives suck because she wants to make my dad mad. I think she smokes, but she supposedly quit like 2 years ago and shes been smoking behind our backs. And I have no idea what I should do.

my brother has this thing that he has to be better than me in everything i do. for example we were in a arcade and they had that basketball game where u shoot the balls and i got a higher score than he did and he didnt show it but i knew that it bothered him that i beat him in basketball.. even hate home when we are playin like horse or something he gets mad when i keep gettin them in and he keeps missing also i have been hip hop dancing for 6 years and my bro always has to try and show off dance moves in front of me even tho he cant dance that good and he's like ha i bet you cant do that and i just play dumb and say no i cant do that.. i mean its soo annoying that he has to compete in everything i can do... what should i do i mean its so d...

i am planning on running away from home. possibly to my dad's house. but are there like any laws that can stop me from doing so? like can i get put in juvy if i do run away and get caught? i cant take it in my house anymore. i just cant. i got to get out of here and soon.

Inappropriate baby shower gift?

Earlier I posed on Advicenators a question about whether I should get a second gift for my brother's baby shower (I got a pair of socks for start). I have since purchased a second gift but I'm hesitant to give it at the shower (which is two weeks away). It's a baby t-shirt from T-Shirt Hell and says "I can kick your baby's ass." I think it's funny and would make a nice change from all the cutesey baby shirts they're sure to get. (It's certainly less offensive than most of the other T-Shirt Hell baby shirts, if you check their website.) But what if someone (namely my brother or his wife) becomes offended? I doubt my brother will but I don't know his wife very well and I don't know if she's sensitive or not.

Parents Argueing

Lately my parents have been REALLY argueing. Tonight at dinner I left and they just fought for 3 hours straight. The past 2 months have been really stressful for them I think. My mom is having trust issues with my dad because he went out to lunch with 'some fat lady' and it was because of work. He had to take her out. Anyways, he has lied about who he has been with but personally, I don't find it to be THAT big of a deal. I am so stressed lately because well, I have my own problems and they have their's to add to mine.
Recently we moved about a year ago. They want to move back now because this place has nothing to do. Back at my old place, there were things to do. My parents think this is another reason to why they are fighting.

Comeing Out

I really want to 'sort of' come out, but my mum thinks that I shouldn't because our town is full of biggots and homophobes. I would only come out on my myspace, by putting bisexual on the sexuality, just so someone might see it. I don't know how to convince her that I sould be able to do so, and I really don't want to do something so big without havin her agreement. Could someone please tell me something to help convince my mum?

I [16] was on the computer and was almost done doing something when my sister [13] came in and said [not asked] that she would get on at 12. I said that I was almost done with something but she didn't care. She started to raise her voice for me to get off because I had been on for a while. I kept saying no but was kind of making jokes. She suddenly kicked me in the stomach [it really hurt] and took the mouse from me, logged me off, and signed on. Then I refused to get out of the chair because she was being rude and she started yelling [it's midnight here, with 2 sleeping parents]. She leaned the chair over to get me off. okay well my mum has all these expextations of me, she wants me to be a genius shes sent me to this top tutour and she thinks being smart is the one and only thing that matters in life now im reasonably smart but not a genius, recently ive had there exams and i got my results im quite above average in all my subjecs but my mon doesnt care she wanted me to do better shees always canstantly comparing me with family and friends childrn, she always calles me stupid, silly dumb and quite often puts me down, im only 14 and she just put all this pressure on me to be smart, ive tried talking to her about it several times but it doent make a difference i know it shouldnt but it makes me feel really crappy and low what should i do?

Hey iam 17 and a female and my stepdad was watching the news this morning and when there was something on that was telling about how a teenage boy killed one of his parents on the news and as soon as the news was over he says Iam suprised you havn't done it yet to your mom and I said why would I becouse I love my mom and then I ran out of the room crying and my mom came in to my room and told me if I didn't shut the hell up she'd slap the s out of me sorry about the language but please help me I'd really appreciate it.my mom told me that I was just overreacting and I had no right to be crying becouse my stepdad was only playing was I overreacting?

what can I say to my parents to convince them to let my boyfriend move in. He is a little older then me but sense they wont let me move out with him I really want him to move in here. I love him alot and I get really emotional at night when im not with him and me && him have talked about wanting to move in together.

Losing my friend

I went out with Adam about three months ago. Before I went out with him, my friend Lanie went out with him. Me and Adam broke up, but we remainded close friends. However, Lanie and Adam started dating again.
Now Lanie won't let Adam talk to me at all anymore! It's so stupid, she thought we were flirting, but I have a boyfriend! Its really annoying, cause now he won't talk to me or else she threatens to break up with him. He'll try to sneak over and talk to me when she's not looking, but sometimes she`ll catch him and get super mad! What should I do? I miss my friend!

about a year ago my close uncle died and everyone at the funeral was crying....everyone exept me that is,the same thing goes for when my grandad died. it hasnt really bothered me until now. is there somthing wrong with me? i knw death is supposed to be sad but whenever the subject comes up i dont really feel any emotion exept for just a very and i mean very minute drop of sadness.
