i have a laptop and i have aim and when ever i leave an away up and close my laptop not shut it down but put the top down it signs me off aim does anyone know how to fix it so my away stays out ill give all 5's

I'm writing an essay for english on this quote from "The Hours" :
"It had seemed like the beginng of happiness and Clarissa is still sometimes shocked more than 30 years later that it was happiness;that the entire experience lay in a kiss and a walk, the anticipation of dinner and a book"
What does it mean?
All I have is that happiness is not measured in the amount of money you make or the car you drive, but the little things that make you happy. Life flies by so fast that you never stop and realize how great the little things are.
Is that on the right track?

ok i have to write a summary for english on a story call my well balanced life on a wooden leg. We had to read the story in the book and then do the summary at home and but couldent take the bok with us. i forget what happend in the end stroy i tryed spark notes but nothing came up. Could someone tell me where i can find out what happend or tell me if you know

For extra credit, I have to submit something into my school newspaper. What should I chose? Poem or short-story? The thing I don't like about poems is I never feel it has that artistic flow that it should. And what should I write about? It can be anything but I need something interesting yet not embarassing or weird.

I have to write 5 full page essays on this book. I've read the book but it's way too hard for me to comprehend. Sparknotes doens't help because it just summarizes it. Does anyone know any other websites that will help me out with this book?

ok well i actually really enjoy doing musicals and this year our school is doing annie. but they always perform a little part of it in front of the whole school just to give them a little taste of it. well lots of people, including a guy who i like, don't exactly enjoy these. but i don't know should i do it? i really want to but i don't want people to think i'm a loser. Also, if i do try out, what are some good audition songs? thanks a bunch! i rate

4 more days of school left till x-mas break :) haha yay! but i dont think i can handle it seriously..me and school do NOT get along and lately we have been doin really hard things like we've been workin on this really hard and confusing essay in english and we're gonna have to work on it over break..DRABB! but i dont know if i can go thru with this 4 days it seems like forever! AND i know we are going to have a ton of test on thursday because thats just how our teachers are--having tests all on the same day. its just really stressful and school is sooo boring im gettin really sick of it and the people! any helpful ways to get thru this?

i have this problem..
im like addicted to the computer
and like i never get any of my homework done! i feel really guilty when im on here or AIM and im suppose to be doing homework but then if i get off for a bit do a lil homework i wanna come back on here again and so i do and then i get distracted! i like come straight on when i get home and ughhhhhh what do i do? haha its hard for me to stay away from it too.

ok, I'm 14/f and dont have a lot of money and i have a ton of friends so I'm going to buy some cards and give them to my friends but what should I give as a present...that's kinda small and easy to attach to a card/envelope that could maybe fit...i know candy but anyother ideas? will rate!

I have a crush on this boy at my school. The problem is I am not seen as the most attractive girl at my school (okay I am just down right ugly!) and my crush and I are both of different races. What should I do? Because I really like this boy (I am a girl by the way) and I want him to make the first move so I do not make a fool of myself.

I have this science teacher okay and he is so darn mean I'm black and he's white everyday he tells me to take off my coat in his classroom because it's a policy but he's sitting there talkin to a white girl who had an a big fluffy azz coat zipped up and all but didn't say anything to her but this isn't about coats he also treats the black kids way worser than the white kids the way he treats the white kids on a scale of 1-2-10 I would say a 9.The way he treats the black kids on a scale of 1-2-10 is a

im 13/f and i dont think i ha my period. i think had it in the beginnning of december for 2 days. im really confused. ive had discharge since i was like ten. its really weird.
*please dont tell me to see a doctor or talk to my mom, i would ask a question here if i wanted to do that
