what do they usually expect you to be able to do?
running?
bump pass?
setting?
serving?
what all should I know?

Jumping Postion Posted Sunday May 4 2008, 9:08 pm
I've been riding for 6 years, and recently I've been riding a horse who takes big spots and has a big, round jump. Everytime he launches, my jumping position is awful. My legs swing back, elbows are close together and not released enough, and my upper body gets thrown forward. What can I do to fix this? What should I tell myself to do while I'm riding? Thanks!

my boyfriend wants to dance with me at my sweet 16. i dont know how or what to do. my party is in less than 2 weeks! what should i do. any tips on how to dance like people do in like clubs & slow dancing?

alright so i've been cheerleading since i was in second grade. i cheered for football for 2 or 3 years and then a competition squad the rest. im in 7th grade right now and am trying out for the JV squad at my school. im trying out soon like in a week or two but clinics are thursday monday and wednesday (this week and next week) and then the following monday are tryouts. i know i can do great and all. but i worry about things too much. i know its silly but i do. my 3 best friends are trying out with me ( they have all cheered before and are good too) i can do the dance and cheer well and motions great and im really good at acting happy and corny and having an "attitude" on the cheer floor but i do need work on my jumps and i can't ...

okay, so i don't know what to but this on so here i go. i need to get my 400m time down --thats one lap around an all out sprint-- i currently have a 1min. 17.56 seconds. how do i get this down? what are some techniques? also, i'm not going to eat this whole weekend so that way i don't gain any fat weight. so am i wasting my weekend working out non stop just to get my time down?
please helpp

i swim in the fall and play softball in the spring. i've had my period for about 4 years now, and it's pretty regular. for some reason, i noticed that during the spring and fall, when i'm involved in a sport, i don't get my period. is this weird? or is it just something about sports that stops your cycle?

If a relief pitcher comes in for his season debut with no one on base and two outs in the bottom of the ninth with the score 5 to 5, and gives up a walk off homer on one pitch, what is his ERA? Keep in mind he's recorded no innings, let alone outs.

This year I am captain of my jv cheer squad. I am a sophomore. For next year, I'm captain again on jv, and I will be one of the oldest. I'd say I had a pretty good year as captain, my team listened ok, but I feel like they didnt listen to me respectfully, like they didnt always seem to respect what I said. I know that comes with being captain..but anyways for next years squad, its a bunch of new girls idk, except for 2, so i want some advice on ways to make my new squad respect me and know that im captain, but that I AM going to be reasonable and not a huge b*tch like everyone things captains are. What Im really asking is basically just give me some advice for the new squad that starts next month..we are also going to camp this year for the...

Last year I did track for the first year at my school. I did it once at a track meet and I cleared 4 foot 8 but got second to a girl who cleared 5 foot. But now I have this problem. At track we were practicing field events and I was doing high jump but I am the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of what I was last year. I couldnt even clear 4 foot and I am REALLY UPSET. I need some advice before Monday (the day of my first track meet) on how i can get over the bar. A few of my problems were dragging my feet, studder stepping, and getting my butt over the bar. If anyone could give me help from experience, a website, videos, would hlp a lot!!! Thanks in advance.

Well, basicly I really want to become a cheerleader. I want to know that before i try out, is there anything I could do at home to make me more flexible or anything like that. Anything that could help me increase my chance of being on a squad.

So, my best friends party is just going to be me, her, & two more of our friends & it's going to be at Six Flags Saturday. One problem - I've never been on a roller coaster in my entire life. In fact, I'm actually scared of heights a little bit. I really want to go, but I'm kind of nervous, & I don't want to go on some ride that I'll start panicking on & yelling for them to stop the ride. Anyone who's been to Six Flags, what are some of the rides that I'd be able to ride...without freaking out on?

Well. I'm not looking to lose weight, but i want to get in shape and start gainging some muscle. I play Varsity tennis for my school (yeah i'm not that old), and am so out of shape for this summer where i'll be playing at least 5 times a week at different practices.
I really want to start getting in shape, because i really wasn't all that active this winter.
Currently, I'm trying to walk/run .5-1.5 miles everyday on my treadmill because i'm that out of shape. I've been trying to lift our 2 pound weights with my forehand arm, but can't get motivated to do it for very long. Also, i've been doing about 100 situps, 50 v-ups and 25 pushups everynight because i want to work my abs for swimsuits this summer.

im on jv cheer right now. for next years team, i made jv again =[ i have my bhs, which most other jv girls dont. and im going to be a junior for next year. the ONLY junior on jv. i am captain for this year, as a sophomore. do you think its embarassing being on jv again as the only junior? do you think i have a chance at captain again since i have been on the team before and am oldest? or do coaches not like to make same captain 2 years in a row? please help =[ thanks.

im currently a sophomore. im on jv this year and im captain. i tried out today for varsity for next years squad and did not make it. the varsity coach said im the next alternate for varsity if someone on varsity quits. she said i was 25 points away and i was so close. im the only junior that made the jv team for next year. its so embarassing! i dont want to do jv again but im worried if i dont and a girl gets hurt, i could have been on varsity. i just dont want to do the whole year on jv being the ONLY junior and get made fun of, but i really want to make varsity if someone quits. i just dont wanna get crap for being the oldest but im dying to get on varsity! please give me advice?!?!

i have cheer tryouts tomorrow at 12:30. im trying out with 2 other girls at the same time. heres what we have to do:
-cheer (w/ bhs in it. i have my bhs but its kinda ugly and i land sometimes on knees haha),
-fight song,
-extremely fast and tiring dance!,
-stunting (im a back base, and new to basing liberties!!! help),
-jumps. toe touch, pike, hurdlers.
please give me any and every advice you have for tryouts......EVERYTHING! thank you!

my cheer tryouts start in 2 days and last for 4 days. i had surgery last week on my mouth, so im worried! i probably can do jumps ok, but im worried about tumbling and stunts. i have a video of my tumbling, but that was when i was just learning, so its by myself, but not very good. would you suggest showing the video, trying to tumble and stunt, or giving my coach a dentists note, but tell her ill try my best? i dont want to give a note because i dont want to make excuses, but idk. i was on jv last year, and im trying for varsity, so im hoping that will help, but i dont want to be like i got surgery wahh wahh i cant tryout. and im dying to make it this year what to do?
