classic preppy

Okay, well I have a clean-cut sort of preppy style, and since Christmas is coming up and I'm bound to get gift-cards and money, I have some questions: (Note: I'm not talking about Hollister kind of preppy. Like that New England, clean sort of look. Old money preppy, not label-bearing-new-kind-of-preppy-that's-not-really-preppy.)
1. What's a good checklist of things to buy?
2. What are some good stores? Not specific brands, I can do that myself, but what kind of stores?
3. Where can I get some clothes that have those little patterns of like whales and sailboats etc. on them? The only things I have like that is a puppy-covered sweater vest and an anchor-patterned tank top. Where can I get more stuff like that?

Winter wonderland

So my family's going on a vacation in winter. We're from Barbados which doesn't have snow or any relly cold areas. The coldest it gets is about 25 degrees celcius maximum. So we're leaving in a while (few days) and I have no idea how i'm goin to stay warm to reach New York. Tell me how to dress to go to the airport please? how many layers of clothes will i need???????

my eyes tend to get big when i put my contacts in .. idk why? but i hate them big! i heard that if you put eyeliner on they get smaller .. true story? any tips?

formal hairstyles

I'm going to a formal and I'm getting my hair done but I'm not sure what I want. A lot of sites I see are outdated, so does anyone have any pictures of formal hairstyles that are a bit more modern? I like big curls, half up and half down, or some updo's. My dress is a halter if that helps.

ive been going to the same hairdresser since my 1st haircut and she cuts my moms hait too, i never had a problem with it. but now that i am older (im 14) and i see hair styles that i want. ahe never has any idea of what i want. like i wanted sidebangs, like thick ones that actually go over to the other side(mine are thin and like half of them wont go over to the otherside no matter how hard i try) then i wanted layers and my hair short so i went to another girl in the same place and she did an awesome job, that was back in october i went with my sister for her to get her hair cut (by the same lady who normally does my hair)and i asked if she could cut my bangs really quick and she totally messed them up, now they dont go over to the other s...

i have this guy i really really like.
last time we got eachother presents he got me this amazing $125.00 neackless and i got him cologin and gum. i felt so stupid, i didnt want to give him his present, i hated myself, he still makes fun of me for giving him this present. so this year, i want to buy him a amazing gift. i want it to be around $50.00 because im not the wealthiest person.
please help me decide what to get him for christmas.
hes a 16 year old boy, dosent do sports, likes music, likes football (watching), wears "ghetto" clothing (baggy pants, big shirts), so please help me.

i have brown hair & i wanna die it blonde. but i want all different shades of blonde not just one blonde color u know? and i googled it, but i can't different shades of blondes on people. like i dont want too much brown in the hair, just some & then allll different blonde shades mixed in (:

Okay so I'm going out on Tuesday and I've never really worn foundation before. Can someone please tell me how to put it on, especially toning it in with your neck and getting rid of the line.
Just a step by step would be good, I could search the internet but I want real advice from real people who do it often :P Thanking you!

i have a hair straightener, but it's really cheap (around $18 from walmart). and, of course, it doesnt really straighten my hair that well.
is there a straightener out there that gets REALLY hot and makes your hair REALLY straight?

Since its the winter, there getting really chapped and sore and the bleed* and everytime i put chapstick on it never heals and i don't really like lip care on my lips but i'll live so what should i do?

Hey =)
I have short black hair and its all pretty much the same length since my layers have grew out. It's also pretty flat cos i straighten it all the time. I have naturally curly hair but can never really wear it curly because its too short and even when it goes curly as my curls are tight ones.
I was wondering what people advise me to do with it style wise to make it a bit more exciting as well as making it look nicer?
I know its not a very important question but it bothers me that it's always soo boring as my friends all have gorgeous hair and im working on my self-esteem at the moment

I have really thick hair, so when I try to comb it it still ends up poofy and messy. Whats a good relaxer or perm that can help straighten my hair all the way to the tips?
