baseball

Posted Thursday June 26 2008, 3:51 pm

I know nothing about baseball, but Im going with a group of people to a baseball game, Im wondering if you sit on team sides for baseball games or not, so if Im wearing a shirt supporting one team I dont want to be mixed in with people of the other team if that makes sense.

Immature

Posted Wednesday June 25 2008, 7:02 pm

17/f. On my cheer team, i am one of the oldest girls. There are some girls 2 years younger than me. I am pretty mature and even at there age I was pretty mature. Pretty much every single girl is extremely immature. They all talk about baby shows and make fun of people in childish ways, and mess with people who are minding there own business. I dont want to like talk to them about it so dont tell me that, but like when we all hang out its hard to really talk to them because they talk about things that i was into 5 years ago. like there still in the boys have cooties kind of stage only not as bad. how do i like deal with this, and not seem all shy when they all talk about stuff i find very annoying?! I'm really starting to get sick of all of ...

Any ideas for cheap activities?

Posted Sunday June 15 2008, 2:10 pm

I would really like to take up a 'hobbie' or activity, but i'm not sure which one. I have tried Squash before, and i really liked it, but i can't find a local area that offers a Squash course this summer. I would also like to do something new. I thought about something like Badminton or Tennis, but i can't find anywhere cheap enough. I am on quite a tight budget - me and my family is really tight on cash at the moment - so pehaps something i wouldn't need to pay for (If there's something i could do at home) or that cost very little (Roughly). I have a local sports centre that has a lot of facilities.
Thanks in advance for your help =D

floww with it :]

Posted Friday June 13 2008, 12:09 am

Im fourteen, female.
I have a pool in my backyard and a few guy friends. And being a girl I cant ALWAYS go swimming.
Like, when that time of month comes around and if the boy across the street just happens to come over then I dont just want to tell him to go away. Im on my period. That would be awkward..
But Ive tried using a tampon but it just wont...GO IN! Urrrghh, its so frustrating. And Im not really willing to practice.
But someone told me quiite some time ago that 'it' stops underwater, which I hardly believe.
But do you have any suggestions?

Tennis

Posted Wednesday June 11 2008, 6:33 pm

17/f

Next year I'll be on the tennis team for my high school. This summer I'm planning on practicing my tennis at least 3-4 times a week for about 1.5- 2 hours each time outside at a local tennis court. I'll be practicing with an experienced friend of mine, so he'll be able to challenge me as far as the practice goes. I want to hopefully get rid of a little fat on my legs and arms and build some healthy muscle. I'm going to try and eat better, but judging just from the exercise I'll be doing, is it practical that I'll be able to gain some muscle by the end of the summer?

Also, how long would it take to see results if I'm about 5' 7" and 135 pounds doing this kind of exercise.

Should I incorp...

Self-defense class w/ a partner..

Posted Tuesday June 10 2008, 8:33 pm

Okay, I wasn't sure what category to put this in, so I'm sorry about that.
But alright. This is a weird situation. I'm 16 years old and I'm a girl. I just started self defense classes (sorta like karate..but more physical and stuff..) and I have to have a girl as my partner. She's the same age as me. There are a lot of moves where you have to touch each other and lean over eachother and go into these weird positions where your bodies make a lot of contact. And I feel SO FLIPPIN' WEIRD when I'm on top of her! I mean, I don't want to look like I'm staring at her boobs or somewhere inappropriate or touching her in the wrong way cause I just started. I'm just leaning over her..sitting on her...and her boobs are like right there and I don...

cheer stunting

Posted Thursday June 5 2008, 1:53 am

i've been in cheer for about a year and i have always been a back base in stunting. this year i want to learn side basing. i am doing main base actually. i've done it a few times so i know how to do it, but its still a little difficult. i know how to use my arms and legs and NOT my back, but its still hard. when i have to base liberties, and all the weight is on me, and i have to go from the ground all the way up, it kills my back! i use my legs and arms as much as i can but no matter what i always am sore when i get home. i do back stretches and strengthening, but until that starts working, any advice for while i'm stunting? i already have bad back problems in my family, and this will make it worse for me when im older! THANKS FOR READING AND ANY ADVICE IS VERY APPRECIATED! and im 15 =]

Back handsprings

Posted Monday May 26 2008, 3:39 pm

I a 16 year old girl, soon to be 17, and I need help to get my 2nd back handspring. I have the standing and round off back handspring, I have the 2nd one, but its so slow, so I don't really land it. I need help on some ways to make it faster. I will be going back to gymnastics this summer, but we have cheering try outs on wensday, and I was hoping to at least get my 2nd one looking nice. And what are some ways to get ready for my tuck. I WONT try it on my own, but maybe some exercises or something I can do to help make it easier. I was learning a couple years ago, but then I hurt my knee two years ago, and I haven't been to gymnastics really since. Only to refresh my back handspring.
So my questions
-Ways to make my 2nd back h...
