Making the most out of a small room

I have a relatively small room. How can I make it seem bigger [i.e. mirrors]? I want to make the most out of it too. Thank you

has anyone seen one tree hill, paytons room?
i want it really creative like that, like the drawings and stuff, does anyone know any websites where you can see her walls? or know of any that are similar or really cool?

Well, I'm having a celeb-themed party soon where you have to dress up as a celebrity, i'm really looking forward to it, but i need to gets something that looks like a red carpet, wont rip when people walk over it and isn't too expensive. I'm really not sure what I could use though. Does anyone have any ideas?

feng shui

in my house i feel like i have no where thats my own like i have no privacy no where i can go and talk on the phone and feel like no one can here i am over whelmed with school work and i dont like my kitchen so i never want to do homework because i dont really have a good place to do it i want to re do my room in feng shui my rooms facing north so thats the easiest thing but its so complicated i was reading on feng shui and it was like no mirrors no plats no electronics, phones, tv`s etc. i thought plants were good to have in your room i dont know what im looking for i just really want to fel satisfied and releived to have my own space to do things please help with like the whole feng shui things like whats suposed to be int he north,south,...

knitting

I know that knitting isn't really home decorating, but it's the closest I can find.
How can you learn to knit faster? I'm a slow knitter, but with all my work, the time I save for knitting is sparse. Therefore, I can never finish a project in time. Are there any other knitters on this site?

ok- my room is completely a mess and i have all this random stuff laying around. are there any cute ways to make storgae units or something? i'm thinking about painting a few yard sticks and then hot glue-ing close-pins on them and hanging stuff on there but anyting else? thanks

How to get my parents to agree to a new bedroom

Im a 15/f, but I'm turning 16 in july. My bedroom is really small. My house only has 3 bedrooms, the master, and then 2 very small others. They are about equal in size. Well All I can fit into my room is my full sized bed, my nightstand, my shelf and my dresser. I have 2 closets, but had to put all of my clothes in one because I had to put my tv stand in the other. I have a lot of clothes so thats not really working. I need a desk because I am going to get a computer, plus I need a space where I can do my homework other than my bed. Plus, I need a futon or something, so when my friends come over (every weekend and like every other day in the summer) we arent strung all over the house and in my parents way. I want to move my bedroom into my ...

Redecorating my room

I want to make my room really cool.
I have a blue comforter, pink egg chair, and blue curtains in my room. I want to make it more decorative without making it look cluttered. Does anyone have any ideas that I could make at home, or get stuff at like a drug store. I have white christmas lights wrapped over my closet so its pretty cool. My room is somewhat big, and is filled with wood furniture. If you have any ideas, please help.

storing make up and belts etc

im trying to find a new way of funking up my room. ive got loads of products like make up and hair stuff that i need to find storage for. i want somewhere i can display them but im bored of the original things like shelves which i already have 3 of full of stuff.
Also i have loads of belts that are draping over my wardrobe stick leaving little room for my clothes
so can any one give me any ideas of how to make unusual storage for my make up products? but some where they can be seen.
and also some ideas for my belts.

bedroom themes

15/f/eng okay so im going to redecorate my room and i was thinking to do it as a set theme... like paris or playboy or something like that,
but i dont what to do, i cant make my mind up
like i said im 15,female. i like all colours except the darker shades. i can only afford two colours at the moment so painting each wall four different colours wouldnt be much of an option for me. currently my room is blue and yellow so.. anything other than that.
so can any one give me some suggestions of themes and what i could do to do that..
like... the theme, what colours to use, accesories (sp) and the such etc etc.

Futon Bunk Bed.

I am going to have someone live here and i dont have room for another bed in my room. Im 15 female and so is she and i dont like regular bunk beds. My problem is that futon bunk beds, when the futon part is used as a regular bed, theres a part in the middle that is painful to sleep on. And i really wanted a futon bunk bed becuase it seemed like the perfect thing to use becuase i need one full sized bed for my full-sized very expensive comforter. What should i do? People with experience are very much helpful too! Thanks!!!!!!

painting my room.

I just moved into a new house and my room is light pink and green. I am not into that at all, not one bit. But my parents won't let me paint over it. I'm not gothic; but my favourite color is black, i wear black all the time, i'm into heavy metal, my favorite band is Lamb of God and Insane Clown Posse. I like stars and hearts. I would probably be more into the colours if they were alot darker, but i can't paint! I asked if i could get a black stripe near the top but our painters' hand isnt steady enough, but I can paint some black into it, but where? Not the whole thing so what can i do? What can i do that will make my room alot less girly and young? Please help! I hate these light baby colors!

Remodeling??

Okay, I'm remodeling my room and I kinda want a beach theme... but i'm not entirely sure what to do... either that or sumthing like "night on the town" like a new york theme or sumthing... but if i did that i want the colors to be dark... but if i did the beach theme i would want them to be bright and like just totally out there... does anyone have any suggestions???

Hi! Well i have like 20 belts (yeah i wear them i hate to waste clothes) and im running outta ideas of what to do with them (and hangers). Right now i have like bunches of 5 or howevermany fit in a hanger and on like 5 hangers. I dont like this idea, and i dont like putting them in my drawers either. I have more belts than clothes!! So if any one has any ideas, maybe creative ideas, for what to do with all these belts--please let me know!!
