Cant find something

So I have to do a presentation on John Greenleaf Whittier's poem "A debtor's prison poem". The poem is about someone he knows being incarcerated for a debt of 14 dollars... however, no matter how much I search online I'm having trouble finding who exactly he knew that was put in prison. I don't know if it was a brother or brother-in-law... Do you guys happen to know who it was? I'm having a lot of trouble finding background information about this and how the events of this person's life led to him being thrown into jail.

Joining The Military

1)Which branch should I join?
2)What are the benefits of each?
3)Navy vs the others?
4)School and military at same time?
5)I want to major in film writing, do you think military would conflict in that goal?
6)About how long does it take to process into the military?

I don't understand my math and whenever I listen in class I get it but whenever I take the test I fail and my mom is really mad and so am I but whenever I try to go to the tutoring hours for my teacher she's never there

illuminating episode Othello English paper help?

in my senior english class, we've been reading othello. my teacher assigned us an essay, to write about an illuminating episode, basically a scene in the story, that shows us about the theme,such as jealousy, and the different feelings the characters have. it was hard for me to understand alot of what was going on, since we were on our own for most of the book. if someone knows anything about it, and could help me, i'd be very glad. basically, the project is what is a scene in the book, or a part of it, that shows you more about what the meaning is, what feelings the characters have, more about the characters. she used alot of jealousy and manipulation examples. can someone give me any help??

abstract in psychology?

I have to write an article over a journal on the internet. I picked Classical Conditioning.
I have to answer 8 questions which are listed on the class syllabus. I'm kind of confused on what a couple of questions mean. If you guys could explain what it means so I can finish my paper, I'd greatly appreciate it.
I tried asking my instructor, and he said if I don't know what it means than I should drop his class??
Anyways.
1) Where is the abstract located?
*What in the world does that mean??
2)What is the general purpose of an abstract?

Hi, senior in high school. I know people use this excuse all the time but I promise you, my teacher is the worst and he is the reason I am failing chemistry. He can't teach to save his life. I have a 33% partially due to his terrible teaching and my lab partner failed every lab we ever did. The quarter is over on the 27 of this month. I am leaving for Europe on the 29 and he told me to get three chapters ahead so I won't be behind when I get back. I don't know how I can get 3 chapters ahead, when I'm failing what we are on now. So, my question is, I got accepted into my dream college, if I passed chemistry the first and second quarter, fail the third and pass the fourth, will I have to retake the course over the summer because I won't have ...

f/13I don't know why but i feel like i can't feel anything. This didn't happen last year. My teachers keep telling me that this year is the most important year of your life but i just get get that in my ear. In one ear and out the other. And this other time whenever i talk to my friends if i hurt their feelings i don't know if i hurt them or not until they get mad or upset. That's when i feel guilty. I only feel guilty. I Can't Fight... After 7 years of bullying what can I do?

People want to fight me and they make fun of me.I want to fight them to make them stop saying ''your to scared,you(CENSORED)retard,ect'',but something in my head stops me. I could when I was in grade 1-3 now I can't,but I really want to.This is going on still 7 years and counting so don't say ''its good to not fight'' What else could I do?
It also made me pretty much emotionless.
(I don't feel scared,happy,pain anymore just revenge.)
Before you say your just nice,this making fun of me thing lasted 7 years and counting...I'm not happy.

Motivation and Work Ethic

When I was little, I never had to work hard in school. I've always been smart, and so I could easily do better than the other kids without trying. Once I started middle school, things started getting a little harder, and I generally made do, but once I got into high school, I started falling behind. Now I'm in college, with about a 2.9 and falling, and still no work ethic. I'm not waking up in time for classes, I'm not turning in assignments, and I've developed some serious school-related anxiety (which is contributing to the above). I don't want to have to continue to watch myself slide down this slippery slope, but I don't know how to fix this and make changes that will help me succeed in the long run. What sorts of things can I do to get my life in order?
