help me believe

Hey im 18/f and i've it occured to me today that i really dont believe in heaven or god/jesus. It just seems unreal you know. Somebody today told me you could just replace the word "angel" with "aliens" and people would believe it. One of my old classmates died a couple months ago and i kind of want that peace feeling that hes somewhere good you know. I went to church when i was a kid up until i was about 12. I suppose i just believed in it then because everybody else did. But ive came to the realization that i dont believe in it. I think its all bogus. I really want to believe in it :( but i just dont see how that could be real, i think we just rot in the ground, nothing more, no after life your soul lifting out of your...

Service for my community?

for school i have to complete 5 hours of service to a non-profit charitable orgaization. what are some good places to voulenteer besides a soup kitchen, nursing home, or animal shelter?

I'm a 14 yr. old female. I always try and show God's love to everyone through how I treat them, but last year at school I started having real problems doing so because of something that started happening. There's a guy at my school who's basically nice, but he can't take a hint at all. He tries to be BFF's w/ everybody, particularly girls, and whenever we get our school pictures, he always orders a whole bunch, and then gives all these girls, myself included, pictures of him, even when some girls obviously want nothing to do w/ him. He's done this now to all of us in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, and I guess he'll do it again this fall when we're freshman. he's given us all so many pics of hisself that he has basically become a joke at our schoo...

Why on Earth is God keeping me alive?

My whole life, so far anyways, has been one, big, miserable hell. I'm going to be 19 in September and I don't feel like I can trust anybody. I've been told I'm pretty even beautiful, but I am not popular. Everybody makes fun of me, all throughout school they've made fun of me. My friends make fun of me, my family makes fun of me, and they do it in front of people who just met me which gives them a bad impression of me. I feel like everyone hates me because of some of the stuff they say. Everyone talks down to me when I say how I feel and I just hate it! Everyone seems to want to know how you feel and then when you tell them, they yell at you! I hate my life, and I hate being alive. No one would miss me if I was dead, so why does God keep me alive?

i herd that if you dream someones pregnant it means someones going to die, and if someone dies it mean someones pregnant? well i had a dream that my friend left me a voice mail saying she was getting an abortion, and she came over and looked about 8 months pregnant.. she left and came back and her stomache was gone but it was like flabby.. haha idk its been bugging me cause idk what it means.

Bible and Sexuality

What does the bible say about homosexuality and being sent to H*ll? It just doesn't seem fair that all gays and lesbians can't go to Heaven, especially because God loves EVERYONE. Some people are just born that way and can't help it.
And what about people that are in such an isolated community, that they've never been exposed to God's word or people that don't know Christianity exists? What about them?
And in the old testament, doesn't it say crazy things like, it's okay to rape a woman as long as you marry her afterwards? And if someone hits you, you can chop off their hand, or something like that. That's just...crazy!
Why would God tell someone to put that in the Bible?
What are your thoug...

I'm Christian and I know lust is wrong. That's why i was super-relieved when I got more into studying the Bible and whatnot and I was distracted by my former thoughts...that was a while ago though. And now they're coming back, especially about the boy that I'm infatuated with...and i don't want to bring him into this, he's a Christian boy!! I don't wanna think of him like that...or think like that at all.
like I said, I know in the Bible it says several times lust and sexual immorality is sin...but i need help stopping the thoughts. I'm praying! if you have any advice, please offer it, if you don't please pray for me.

Horrible Nightmare

Last night i had this really freaky dream that i was in my kitchen talking with my bf of like 4 months and everything was like really nice. But then ll of a sudden he gets this really sick grin and his head turns all the way around like in the exorcist. I scream and he grabs a knife and starts chasing me. I ran into my parents bedroom and locked the door screaming at him to leave me alone. As i'm backing away from the door he suddenly appears in the room still grinning and stabs me and i get this sickish feeling like no matter how many times he stabs me i'm not gonna die and i'm gonna feel it forever. Then i wake up like screaming and sweating, what could this mean?

do you guys believe when you have a dream and its kind of bad and you dont tell the person it was about then it will happen. or if you tell them what happened in your dream it wont happen... for example. hmm. ashley has a dream that her boyfriend tommy was cheating on her with valerie and she doesnt tell tommy then he realy will cheat on her. but if she does tell tommy then it wont realy come true? someone please help me. thankyou in advance

all my life i've been born and raised in a christian household. My family have always been that way. I'm pretty open about it, but lately, alot of my "so called" friends have ditched me because of what i believe in. It got to the point where it would really bothered me but i figured that they aren't really my friends. But not to the point where i would harm myself. You sound like a bunch of smart people and i was wondering how you deal with problems like mine or hpw you think i should handle the issue.

paganism at college

I'll be going to college in new england and I have been interested in converted to paganism. My campus is mainly a Christian/catholic community. I was just wondering for anyone who is or was in the same situation as me how do you fit in your religion when nobody around you believes the same thing?

i've grown up going to a christian church and school and i pray everyday but i've never felt God's presence before...
i try to have faith and seek him but it's hard when i don't feel he's there and i feel like there's a hole in my life and i feel lonely but i just don't feel like i'm a christian even though i want to be.
how do i become a christian even though i've already been praying and going to church and have seeked him but don't feel anything??

My Dreams are coming real!

I have dreams, like, every night, and ones that i quite like (or remember well) are sort of coming true. Like for example, a month or two ago, i had a dream that i saw this really fit guy from my school at the local swimming pool, and then about a week later i actually did see him in the pool.
Another example, that happened i dreamt last week, was that i was sat on my crush's (a different guy) lap. Just yesturday (Mon) i had the perfect opportunity to sit on his lap (although i didn't because it would just be too freaky - it was even the same chair!).
What could it mean? This isn't the only time this has happened, but i can't be bothered to list everything. These are just certain examples.

Do we have certain dreams for a reason? Is it to show us something about a certain person we didn't notice before?
For example, i recently slept on the floor for one night (dont ask why, i dont vene know myself =D) and i had two extremely vivid dreams.
In the first, one of my guy-mates (who've i've kinda got a crush on) was stood around outside with his friends. My friends and I walked past and he held his hand up to me for a high-five, which he does in real life all the time. So i high-fived him and, jokingly, grabbed his hand and continued walking off. Then all of a sudden i was about 15ft away from him and about to walk through one of the doors in my school and i still had his hand. He was a little like one of those Stretch...

Ghost or Polterguiest?

Ok, so I have been having some stressful days ever since 7th grade. I am in 10 next school year. I have built up this negative energy in my room and now whenever i go in there, i get this stressful feeling. One time when i went to bed when everyone else was at the bowling alley, I saw a boy around 17 black hair blue eyes staring at me. He had this look of anger, depression, and stress on his face. After i rubbed my eyes he was gone.
Is it a ghost or a poltergeist?
PS: i heard from TAPS on an episode that a ghost is different from a poltergeist. A poltergeist is human generated for some sort of pshychological need and a ghost is a spirit who either doesnt want to cross over or doesnt know they are dead.

please. i am a christian teen and it is so hard to resist certain things. ok. i look at certain things on the computer and i am ashamed. i shouldn't be doing that. what should i do to resist the temptation or just stop the addiction all in all?

Choosing a religion.

18/F So basically, I want to become more conservative with how I dress...and beyond that live a pure life. (Do charity...speak kindly to others.) What is a religion I could get involved in? But, the tricky part is: I don't really care to read or devote my life to a book. (torah, koran or bible) I just want to find a group of people who try to make a difference in their community and have values. Thanks for any suggestions!

I have been really interested in OBE's or Out of Body Experiences. I really want to have one and have read information on it. Does anyone know a way to increase your chances or even possibly have an OBE? And If you have had/have an OBE what was or is the experience like in detail. Also could OBE's be dangerous?
