College: I know what I want to do, but not what I want to be/major in

I have always wanted to be in the medical field but not as a pediatrician or just talking to people. I don’t necessarily know what I should call what I want to be either..I want to be the one to do the research, discover cures in cancer/diseases, do lab work on people to find what they have or need, perform treatments, maybe make medicines and alter the chemicals, I wish to be the brains of the field and make a difference. I want to work hands on with stuff, I don’t really care if I work with people one on one and I am very smart with science and medical.
What would I call what I want to be? What major and is premed needed?

hey guys, my dream is to be a paramedic,and i dont know what to study. i have no guide what so ever from my parents, because they never went to school. And im the first one to go to college im exited. but i dont know what classes i should take in college. or what to study...is it nursing? i really dont know..help me please..its my dream to be a paramedic and i really want to succeed. So i have a question about homework. No, I'm not trying to get anyone to give me an answer.. I'm just confused as to how Karl Marx's theory of economic crisis affects us today. Ive been reading up on it for the past two days, even watching youtube videos and I still dont understand it completely.. 17/f. After my senior year, I plan to attend university to get my bachelor's in elementary ed. I love kids and at church, I teach a class at my church. Yes, I've asked a question before about college. Most people usually don't know what they want to do so I should be overjoyed that I believe I found what I was created to do. I know teachers don't make a lot of money but all the teachers I know and had are doing pretty good in life. Hi, I am 17 and female. I am a senior in my high school and have yet to take my SAT's. I am registered to take them very soon. Before I take them, I intend to do some college visits. I know I should have done this over the summer but I was to busy with work. After I do college visits, then take my SAT's, I plan to apply for the colleges of my choice. That would probably be in 2 months. I am very concerned that applying that late would already make me not eligible to be accepted because I know you need to apply super early.
Am I correct in thinking this? Or will I get accepted to a college this late when I do my applying?

I am seventeen, female, senior in high school. I intend to go to college after high school with a major in elementary ed. I want to be a 2nd grade teacher because I love kids so much, I babysit all the time and I am a teacher for two year olds at my church per request by my pastor's wife. Now, I would like to minor in something completely different so I can keep my options open, I would like to minor in either political science or communications.
My question is, what jobs would I be able to do with a minor of communications? What jobs would I be able to do with a minor of political science?

stressed on my first day

I am 16 and female. Today was my first day of senior year. Today, my teacher's told me all about how I should be applying to colleges already and how I need to apply early to get on the top of the list. However, I have yet to take my SAT's. I have been reading up on a job I would like to pursue and that is an ultrasound technician. I would like to work with soon to be mother's and tell them about their children. I feel like the job would be so happy, however, I do know that some parts will be sad if there is something wrong with the child and I am willing to deal with that. Hey everyone, I'm doing a Psych. uni assignment and I was just wondering if I could get your opinions/advice on my hypothesis, if its correct etc.
A researcher was interested in the relationship between number of employees supervised and managers’ stress levels. He asked five managers to fill out a stress questionnaire and also took note of how many employees were under their supervision.
IV - Number of employees under supervision.
DV - Stress levels.
Hypothesis - The number of employees under supervision positively affects stress levels.

For a very long time I have wanted nothing else but to go to college, then uni and become a midwife. All of a sudden, with like 3 weeks before i'm meant to start college I really don't want to go. I don't see the point in getting debts at uni so I probably won't do that and at college I have taken 4 subjects, 3 of which I don't want to do or care about. I've been thinking about acting professionally, but I'm not sure what sort of professional experience you need for that (all I have is an A grade drama gcse?). I'm getting quite upset about it, and I'm thinking I would rather get a full time job instead like one of my friends has done.

financial aid trouble

hey i asked a question about this a week ago..i need 6000 for tuition books and a computer for college. this is after all the grants and loans included in my finanical aid package. as far as i know i cant get any more direct loans or anything like that. i tried a outside loan but i need a cosigner but everyone in my family has horrible credit..so now im like stuck and cant go to school because i need 6000 and cant find a cosigner? what do i do? it sucks that my family is retarded and doesnt care about what turns out. i have to do everything on my own =[ please help

Today i was researching some colleges in the area that i would like to attend. I am a junior this year and i figured i should get a head start on making a decision. Anyhow, my highschool requires 3 years of a social studies which i will be fulfilling. this year i dropped my social studies to take accounting 1. im concern is that i am looking into a college that requires 4 years of social science. i am wondering if they would reject me for only having 3. i will fulfill all of the other requirements. (4 years of english, 4 of mathematics, 4 years of a foreign language, 4 years of natural science including 4 years of labratory experience, and electives.)

I am a dream chaser, nothing holds me back and i live out my dreams. I want to go to an art institute for college, but my second love would be premed.
what are the best art institutes in the usa?
As i look at the list of majors for kansas city art institute, there isnt a single one i Dont want..id be truely happy with any of them from studio art like graphic design to ceramics or painting, theater, music, writing.
Can u major in it all for the same price?

For college im deciding between studying all the brances of art or premed so i can become a specialist or emergency. Im looking at big city schools like st louis, new york, stuff like that but i tend to be in the wrong place at the wrong time so i know its not too safe. i live on the outskirts of saint louis but lovee the innercity.
What are good big city, safe semi urban, art or med institutes, or coastal schools for what i want? how do i find the type i want myself?
i dream to study abroad as much as possible but i am the youngest kid and my sibs havent even lived on campus..
i dont have much money but i have a 3.6 gpa, 24 act first only try, national art honors society and honor art, theater, cross country and track....

my parents keep pushing me to go to two colleges i really dont like, they are rural and i am diein to go to an urban school its just me and i spend more time downtown then i should i just am in love with it. how do i convince them to let me decide or have some say? i hate the country right now i go to a hs of it. im looking at saint louis mo colleges, but i know alot happens at night and im a culprit of always exploring soo i understand its dangerous, how about kansas city or nyc or some coastal school? any advice on how to convince them, what to look for in a school, or thoes areas?

student loan

hi, im 18 i got into a really good college and finanical aid is paying everything besides 3500.00 for me to go. so i need a private student loan for the 3500 for a semester so 7000 a year. for the first loan i need an additional 2500 for books and a computer and i did the loan through discover and they approved it and i just need a cosigner..the only problem is everyone in my family has bad credit so it didnt go through for them..they have like no interest anyways ive done everything so far on my own. but now i dont know what to do. i need the loan for 6000.00 and its all set up to get the money besides a cosigner that i cant seem to get..what do i do? i need the money by the end of augest =[ please help.

Broke and need loans for college

I got accepted to Ohio University last year I did everything to atten this year, I completed my FAFSA payed my housing contract and have been staying on top of school. My school redid the busget so I just recently got my completed FAFSA results back. I have half of my school payed for but still have to find loans for 12,000. I live with my mom who doesnt make much money at all so she cant get a loan for me she doesnt have the credi for and cant afford it. Im terrified that all of my plans will soon be gone it's to late for everything. I need to know my options on how to get loans without having the money right now. Thanks in advance I am clueless about a lot of this and just need to know if there is hope for everything that I have been planning.

I am not getting the grades I want nor need. I am currently doing my b.tech from india. However, I can't seem to get A's on any of my quizzes or tests.
I study all the time. In about 1 - 2 hour increments a couple times a day. I am taking org chem 1, physiology, pre-cal, and communications. I am not worried so much about communications and for pre cal i just have to practice. As for organic i do the practice problems in the book over and over again. Then sometimes when the quizzes come i make stupid mistakes. I think i have test anxiety.
And for physiology i record the lectures and listen while in class, then go back over the recording and type out the notes later in the day. I never go out on weekends. I work about 10 hours o...
