Saving is impossible!

Posted Tuesday August 12 2008, 8:32 pm

I'm 23 years old. I have a full time job, I get paid once a month, roughly $1300. I still live at home so I have no 'bills' except for my cell phone and a car payment, that is about $300 together. That leaves me with about $1000.

I want to try and move out either by the end of this year or early next year. But, I cannot save money for the life of me, and I really have nothing to show for why I don't have money. But by the end of the month I'm lucky if I have $5.

Can you give me some ideas on how to start saving my money? I really could use it!

Thanks!
:)

16 yrs, want to move out.

Posted Friday August 8 2008, 3:15 pm

Alrighty, I live in Ontario, Canada and I am looking to move out when I turn 16.My parents' said if they knew where I was moving, and I could afford it, I could move.I would rather not hear about the benifits of staying at home.I know I know, I've heard it.So basicly, I'm thinking about what kind of place to move into, maybe rent a room in a house, an apartment...or something. Also, I'd like some ideas of places to look for jobs.I am in high school and plan to graduate and move into a skilled trade.Anyone have any personal experiances ? Anything would be appreciated :)

I really need help on getting information about how to go about getting emancipated in New Hampshire, I just moved from Massachusetts and was going to do it there but I moved and have no information about it here. I've tried to look it up online but nothing is clear to as how to exactly go about it, or who I could possibly contact to get information about it or where to go.

I was kicked out of my house at 14, my mother left me at 7, and my dad kicked me out two years ago. He's a drug addict and I've been moving in and out of friend's houses since I moved out. I am 16 years old now and the guardian that I live with is no help with getting the stuff I need together, (signing up for school, a job, getting a car, opening a bank a...

Minimum wage?

Posted Saturday July 26 2008, 7:44 pm

In Kentucky, the minimum wage as of July 1st is supposed to be $6.55 per hour. I get paid $6 an hour at my job. I work at a small store that is no way corporate. (I'm 15, by the way) Are there any exceptions to the minimum wage law? I don't know if my boss know the minimum wage went up or not! And he's a family friend, so I would feel really weird asking him to pay me more.

help?
