I am doing a project for my english class. i need to find a song that expresses american life. it can be positive or negative. but i would prefer a negative becuase i like a good laugh. i would also prefer songs that are in the rap or rock genre.

im 13 years old and my music teacher thinks i have a wonderful voice , im not all that sure . i've thought about busking but i have heard that you need a licence and i cannot really afford one, how else could i get into a singing job,i sing classical and just enjoy it so much.

In the lyrics, does it say
"Hoping that he's MEANT for more than arguments and failed attempts to fly."
or
"Hoping that he's BENT for more than arguments and failed attempts to fly."
I've looked the lyrics up on numorous websites, and alot of them say "meant" as well as "bent"
The song itself sounds as if he's saying "bent" but that wouldn't make as much sense as "meant"
