Battling the negative flow

I have a friend who is really negative...about EVERYTHING. She has even managed to turn the fact that she's studying abroad in EUROPE into a negative situation. Now, she says she doesn't want to go, but she has to because everything has been payed for. There are other traits that make our relationship very difficult and so I am cutting her off as soon as she leaves the country. Until then, how can I subtly remind her or deflect her of negativity. (She is in denial about her not-so-great personality traits, so stating the direct issue will do no good.) For example, she complains on and on about going to Europe, "I don't wanna go. I just can't do it. It's going to be terrible..." I would respond with a nice--so nice it wouldn't both...

So it seems like latley, instead of worrying about school ( which i am.) I'm worrying about my Ex-BFF.
We drifted apart this summer.
Like; No talking at ALL- which i really dont know what happened..

So, today was the first day of school :D well, i'm a freshman in a new highschool, but I have a few classes with upperclassmen. During art, some random senior guy sat down next to me and it was reallllyyyy awkward. He seems pretty cool though and i'd like to get to know him a bit better, because I want to make some new friends this year :) any tips on over coming this awkwardness? Thanks!

Ok, there are a few people in this; I went out with C for about 6 months, eventually we broke up but I still like him now, even though I have a bf. We are still friends. There's this girl, I wouldn't call her my "friend" but she used to sit with us at lunch, until she got into a fight with my best friend, concerning a guy. This girl is now going out with that guy although he has moved. Well, I noticed that the guy and the girl seemed to be hanging out a LOT lately and they hold hands and hug and stuff. I'm afraid if I tell my ex that she might be cheating on him? I know he might not believe me, since he has suspicion I still like him. And i'm afraid if my best friend (the one who got in a fight with the girl) tells that girl's boy...

ok so ive known my friend for my whole life pretty much! and now she wants me to change because she says im to full of myself cuz i say that im pretty but she can say it but im a terrible person if i do she also hate my bf and says that if i dont change and dump him no1 will like me anymore and she says that its friends before bf but i really like him and all! and i told her that im never changing for anybody and she says that im just really mean since im never gonna change! should i change and keep my friends or should i not change and have no friends but still have my bf! HELP!

hi. well there was this little thing w/ my frend & his cuzin, but that all settled now, but i asked my frend 4 advice about the situation. But, after it was all over she was @ my house and we were talkin 2 my frend. However, now she wants his screen name, and i do not want 2 give it 2 her because she IS a drama queen & he hates ppl like that. how do i tell her this w/o her thinking im a bitch?

i didn't know under which category to put this in but what they hey.... the question is super silly but i'm really sensitive about this so here goes...
when i was in 1st and 2nd grade i was a super bully... i don't know if it helped that my dad's sister was the principle and owner of the school ( i swear i never rubbed that in and i never even realized why people REALLY feared me until later- read on i'll explain how)

Leaving for College.

Most of my friends are still in high school (seniors). I just graduated this year and am attending a city college. Anyways, my best friend graduated with me and is going about 2 hours away for college. I feel like she will make lots of new friends and forget about me. also, i want to give her something before she leaves on Monday. I was going to burn her a mixed cd of songs we like, and songs about going to college so she can listen to it on the way there. any songs about college ya'll would know?

Hi! I;m gonna spend the night at a girl's house... And sometimes when i go places, we don't do nothin.... Any ideas of stuff we could do that is actually fun and not stupid? We're both 13 year old girls btw... And i'd prefer ideas where i don't have to buy anything... Just cause it isn't a BIG slmber party with bunches of people... friends and sex

practically all my friends are sexually active and im not, ive never had sex. but i dont feel like i really fit in, unless i change my mind set to their perverted minds. like i have to act and talk like them to fit in. but im against that kind of stuff with my beliefs and stuff. so what do i do, continue being friends with those kind of people or make friends who are a little more pg? but its only adultry that im against and almost everyone in highschool talks about who they did, and im just a virgin :/

i dont know if this is weird but i love talking to random people. not like, aol chat rooms where you talk for 2 seconds and then someone ims you wanting sex from you but just casual conversation. are there any websites that are safe and let you talk to people your age (16-18years old)??
p.s. i really love talking to foreign people. like from england, ireland or france (i speak some french)

The only person I have left to talk to after everything I've been through...my best friend.
Well, I keep waiting for her to get up and leave like everybody else did. She's away at the moment (like on vacation away) and I wanted so badly to talk to her because I feel like I'm drowning over here. So she never called me back until finally today. my friend is turning 16 next week and is having a party at her house - its not like a formal sweet sixteen, its just like pizza and chips and cake and like swimming and stuff like that.
I decided to give her money as a gift but I don't know whether to give her $50 or $75.
If it was a formal sweet sixteen i probably would give $75 or even $100, but since its really informal is $50 fine?
I've known her since we were 7 so I guess that matters.

ok i've asked a question before... it's about a married friend of mine who's husband is cheating on her...
any way i kind of fixed the situation, built her confidence, and instructed her what to do... and things are kind of better.

I feel sad all the time. Right when I think I'm having a good time, I just feel like crying. All the time I just want to cry.
Things just haven't gone the way I've wanted them to for so long and I just have this heavy weight of sadness on my shoulders. I can't even talk about it because I don't think anyone would want to hear it. My best friend and I talk all the time, but it's mostly about her. I help her through everything but can never tell her what's bothering me. I don't like to talk about it because I don't want her to leave me all alone like my other "friends" if she thinks I'm being stupid or selfish talking about myself. I don't want to be selfish.
