OK i need all of your opinions! i have to write a story, and i'm deciding between two plots. I need as many opinions as possible please! thanks
1. about a girl, 15 or so, her mother died when she was very young, over the summer she is in a store and meets a woman in her 30's, 40's, the woman tells her about a place up the mountain where she is landscaping this whole big beautiful garden like thing. The woman offers to teach her to garden in return for the girl helping out. they start to do that and become friend. All the while the younger girl is kind of seeing this woman as a mother figure even though the woman isn't doing anything motherly, they're just friends. HELLO EVERYONE! I need some help, I want to enter my school pagent but I don't know what I want to do for my talent. I don't play any instruments, but I really want to win. I want to be original though, and I know of this one girl that's going to sing, and she can sing, I can too, but i don't want to sing. PLEASE HELP ME Find something to do.

Ok so I know when anybody says "I have a friend who..." they mean themselves. but im really talking about someone else here
so my friend travis and i were talking about taking midterms next week, and he said he heard about people taking chap stick and running it across the little black bars to make all the answers correct. i know it sounds stupid for me to ask this, but is he right? because there IS a possibility, but if its not true i dont want him to fail his exams, because he would have just wrote down random answers and used the chap stick.
please help me out

I don't think my parents get it.
They think im supposly smart when I try, & yeah.. I kinda am. But, I tried SO hard for studying for my midterms. & I didn't do well on hardly ANY of them. I got an A+ on my english, a C+ in math, & my religion.. well I failed it. & my history I got a C-. Like, I thought I did really good, except religion, I didn't study something right or whatever. Anyways, I don't get how to explain it to my mom & everything, that I don't get everything. Like my little brother, hes like so smart. He gets maybe 2 Bs on his report card. I try hard, but I'm just really not that smart.. what do I say to my parents? Whats my like excuse?!

but i feel those topics wont be good enought to last me 10 mins.

well..i'm a senior in high school..and i applied to lots of colleges and got accepted..the problem is..im worried about it. like im already overwhelmed with high school classes..and i cant imagine classes being harder than they already are..and no i dont go to a private school or anything like that..so what do i do?

persuasive essay ideas?

we're doing persuasive essays for english and i need some ideas for it. it has to be something that can be debated - that people can have different opinions about. like, no uniforms or more lineant(sp?) school board, or something like that. i already have one idea - fundraisers to raise money for school needs rather than asking for it from our parents. it's an okay topic but i would like other ideas.

It's almost at the end of the quarter and I have been so depressed and overwhelmed lately that I fell behind on assignments, and now I am failing them! I feel like crying but I have been lately trying to pull the grades up. I have only a week to make the effort to pull it up to a C, so does anyone have ideas and methods I could use to pull the grades up?

I'm only a freshman in high school, but today in school we got a paper to fill out what classes we're thinking of taking sophomore year. Right now I'm taking commercial design, which is an art elective, and I need to take a business or career one or something. Well, I want to take an elective that will benefit to what I want to become later. The one's that I'm into are digital photography/printmaking (that's also an art elective though so idk if I should do it until I get the other ones out of the way). I've always wanted to be a teacher, maybe an English or kindergarden/younger grades teacher, but my friends are like... you're smarter than that.
