softball or lacrosse Posted Friday January 26 2007, 7:29 pm
15/f
ok i need help deciding what sport to play in the spring, sports are required at my school and i can't decide whether to play softball or lacrosse, I've never played either. I'm pretty fast, a good athlete. The softball team has really cool people on it, like my bestfriend and other people i like, plus the coach is really good, he wants me to play. LAcrosse seems more of a sport for me because it's a lot of running rather than strategy but i can't decide! also, lacrosse i don't like the people on the team as much, but i do have some friends on it, and there is one girl who plays who is such a self absorbed ball hog and that frustrates me.
I can't decide, I want to do something that would be fun, not boring, and a good sp...

Am I that bad off? Posted Friday January 26 2007, 7:18 pm
I have a hard time going to sleep at night and sometimes i really have to pull myself out of bed. I knew that since last semester I missed maybe 3 classes because I was too tired to get up or lazy if you want to say that. So this semester I took the liberty of creating a schedule that gave me mon. wed. and fri. in class days and tuesday and thursday off. I thought I wouldn't have any problem just getting up and going to class. But, this morning I had the hardest time getting up and I didn't go to my first class but I made it to my next one 5 minutes late. Am I really extremely lazy or would anyone take a day off every now and then.

Again I'm forced to amputate
the chicken's limb; slit the joint,
clip the heart, snip wing from back,
strip fat from flesh, separate
everything from itself. I'm used,

the constant severing. Open and close!
Open and close. I work and never tell.

Going back to school is this hard? Posted Friday January 26 2007, 5:01 am
Dear Advisers,
Just call me scaredy, I'm female, age 17, and I'm really troubled... I stopped going to school because of my fears and I'm really scared... Its been 2 years already, almost 3. I really want to go back to school. But something is holding me back. Every time I meet my previous classmates, I feel insecure and I would sometimes run away from them literally. They are already in 2nd year college while I'm still in 12th Grade. I felt bad, now I am locking myself here in our house. I never went out for 4 months already... But I want to go back to school... So badly.... The only solution I can think of is that I move somewhere else... I hate here, I despise this place... But I will surely miss my parents, if I will move out. Bu...

do i still have a chance? Posted Thursday January 25 2007, 8:16 pm
I really want to become a nurse when I grow up. I am very fascinated with the field, and what they do. I know so much about medicine, human anatomy, and other things. But I am doing so horribly in my Chemistry and Biology classes. I don't get a lot of it, and I know I would need to learn it in order to become a nurse.
I know Biology is partly on human anatomy but that's not what I am doing horribly on. Just generally on other stuff. And chemistry, I don't get anything in that class, and it frustrates me.
Does anyone have any tips to excel in these areas so I can better my chance of being a nurse?

Should I Stay Or Go? Posted Thursday January 25 2007, 5:30 pm
Ok well I'm a freshman in highschool. Currently, I go to a great school with different "academies" that focus on specific jobs, such as health, telecommunications, etc. By the time I finish highschool, if I stay there all four years, I will have a certificate which will help me towards getting my degree. However, in this school, I have to wake up at five in the morning every day and I get home around 3:00, when school lets out at 2:30. I've been thinking about going to my homeschool, which is only a few blocks away. If I went to that school, I wouldn't have to wake up so early, I would get home much earlier, which would give me more time for homework, and I'd probably get much better grades because the teachers there are less str...

ahh grades Posted Wednesday January 24 2007, 6:21 pm
i have two questions but if you can only answer one thatll be ok! first off im 16 and a sophomore.
1- i was wonderin how much harder are AP courses than advanced? i took 9th and 10th advanced literature and i was recommended for AP liturature next year and was wondering how much more of a struggle it honestly is?
2- im really worried that i wont survive in college. i make mostly all a's and an occasion b on report cards in regular & advanced classes, but the thing is, i dont really learn much! i memorize information, pass the tests because of that, soon forget it, but usually do all my homework, therefore i get high grades. i dont really try to do this, but it jus kinda happens. i zone out and stuff so yea...

teenage stress paper. Posted Tuesday January 23 2007, 9:42 pm
okay.
i'm doing a paper on teenage stress.
more focused "how teenage stress relates to teen drug and alocohol abuse"
meaning, do we drink when stressed.
& id like to do a simple, anonymous survey @ school. just type a paper, with all yes/no or 'fill in the bubble' questions.
k, here's where you come in
one] do you think this is a good idea
& two] what sort of questons should i put
i was thinking something like
when feeling stressed, do you have have an urge to drink alcohol; yes/no
& then they can circle one, you know?
any help would be great ! thanks :]
