so i use to be close to this girl. but we went to different schools and we just...stopped talking for awhile. well then we hung out every now and then and then stopped talking again and lately she was asking what i was doing because she wanted to get together, and i was always busy. so last night i texted her and was like, what are you doing tomorrow night? we should go to dinner and she was like yeah!! and so then tonight i met up with her at a restaurant and we were catching up on everything, and i was like oh you got a new phone and she was like ya! here look, and she gave it to me. well i was looking at everything and i went to her texts and i saw that she was like talking about me to another friend (i use to talk to her too...

Where do I find 'party' friends?

I know enough people from school clubs and sports teams, but where do I find the people like myself? I'm an 'overachiever' when it comes to school but I really don't fit the stereotype of the 'goody two shoes' that tends to go along with it. I'd like some friends that like to go to parties and meet new people. The thing is, it's not safe for me to go to parties where I live (long story), so how do I meet people that can invite me to ones outside of my town? Maybe some older friends or something? Thanks for the advice!

Friend healing from end of 10 year relationship

My friend's boyfriend broke up with her unexpectedly 2 1/2 months ago after a 10 year long live-in relationship. She is obviously heartbroken, shocked, confused, afraid, angry, etc. Here's the trouble... Several of our other girlfriends are giving her terrible advice (i.e. You should try to make him jealous. You should start dating immediately. You just need to go out and party. If you want him back, you have to compete with the girls he's seeing and fight for him.) It is obvious to me that he doesn't want to be back in this relationship. Her efforts to get his attention and make him jealous are only resulting in further disappointment for her. Rebuilding a friendship?

I’m 16/f and so I had this saxophone teacher for three years. I was never super serious about saxophone...I really enjoyed playing and all but I certainly didn’t intend to pursue it as a career. He knew that and I knew that. Acting and singing are what I really love to do but this guy and I became really great friends, as artists and just in general. I saw him once a week at the music studio (occasionally we held lessons at his house) and we made plans to see a movie, but it never took off.
Well, back in April my mom told me that we couldn’t afford sax lessons anymore. I was sad to break off the friendship but I had no choice. My dad and I had plans to break it off formally. But things never took off and...

faith in people

I don't understand why people have so much faith in me. They tell me that I'll make a team or that guy will go out with me but when it comes around for that stuff I didn't make the team or that guy acutally had the crush on girl who told me. Is it their confidence? I know i lack in that area and if it is b/c of their confidence i am glad to lack because i would never want to keep being put down like that i understand that it's not on purpose but still why do people say such reasuring things?

I'm in 7th grade! Last year, I had a lot of friends. We kind of hung out in a group. There was this one girl named Kiara that we talked about. This year Kiara forgived me and we became friends. Then I lost all my friends and Kiara was still my friend. One day, something happened and i felt like Kiara betrayed me. She lost all her friends and I went back to my old friends that had been previously talking about me. Then I lost them again and Kiara felt like I used her and now I don't have any friends! What should I do at school when I am sitting there all alone with nobody to talk to and everyone else is with there friends talking and laughing?

fixing a friendship

i'm horrible at talking to someone that i'm trying to "fix" something with. within the past three weeks me and my best (guy) friend have been having problems. at one point i didn't think i could trust him. but i didn't want to lose him as a friend and we worked things out. well this past weekend he did something to me, and i know damn well it was true and it hurt, really bad. i've known this kid for YEARS, we've always been close and he should of known better to lie to me, after knowing i can't trust many people. well i said something to him, pretty much that indicated i couldn't be friends with him anymore and he never said anything back. i don't trust many people, and when i finally do i always mess things up. i will admit that i jump to conclusions when i hear something i don't want to. and i also ALWAYS say things i don't mean when i'm upset or angry. i'll just automatically think that it's true and start freaking out on the person. i feel bad for my friends, they don't deserve this. i currently lost my best GUY friend of four years because i heard he did something he promised he never would do to me, and without asking him i just flipped out on him, and told him that we shouldn't be friends anymore because of this and now four years of friendship ended just like that. he won't even talk to me. i do have trust problems because of what people have put me through in the pas...

i have this friend. She is so competitive. and she claims to be my best friend. So when i get something new, she has to get it, but in a better brand or more expensive to make me feel bad. example would be like; i just got a phone. a week later, she finally got a phone, but more expensive. then when i got a computer, she got one after, but in a better brand. I don't know why she does it but it is getting on my last nerve. Then when I come up with ideas, she steals them and make them into her own. for example. Our whole group of friends hasn't hung out in a while, and i was saying how it would be tight to have everyone get together at a sleep over and just chil. She went off and told all of them as if it were her idea. And it is so frustrati...

my friend is going with a guy she doesnt like.so why is she going with him?? the day they went out they took a couples picture for the yearbook. she says she doesnt want to break up with him because of the piture they took. she said that all the other couples that took the picture had been going out for like a year.i think she just doesnt want to look back at the pict and think o yeah thats the boy i went with for only a month or so cuz i guess most of her relationships have been pretty long. i told her you shouldnt go with somebody that you dont like. but she still doesnt know what she should do. what would you tell her if you where in my position?

so my best friend is a boy, which tends to make people think we're dating.. all of the time. haha. but the other night he finally told me that he has started to avoid being alone with me because he doesnt want either of us to miss out on relationships because people think we're dating.
that really bothers me because hes my best friend. we're supposed to be able to do things alone instead of having to wait and see if someone else can hang out as well. how do i convince him that he shouldnt care what others think and to stop avoiding times when we're alone?

Me and my ex-boyfriend are like best friends..friends with benefits kinda thing..but a lot closer then friends like people think we're dating lol but as much as i love him to death..i can't stand him. We're both really stubborn people and we both think about things in completely different ways..and we always fight. Its rare that we go through a whole night with out getting into a fight. i use to be happy, i use to love life. now i'm the complete opposite. i've been through so much in the past and i'm currently going through some rough times. i don't like to complain, i don't want people to feel bad for me but i just don't know what to do with myself anymore. it all started in 8th grade. i had a major surgery, and it wash honestly one of the worst things i had to deal with. i had a cist in my mouth, they had to break my jaw. the oral surgeon said NOBODY has ever seen this before, it was something rare. after surgery i was throwing up blood, i couldn't sleep and didn't eat. i lost so much weight and i'm a skinny girl to begin with. they threatened to put a tu...

well i put this in the wrong category.
but yeahhh, anyways;
today i was hanging out with some friends, and we started talking to this boy we know who had a whole bunch of pills (bars) and he asked us if we wanted to buy one. well me and my friend never done it before, but we were like yeah and got one pill, we were gonna do half and half but i was kinda scared, so i didnt. and she took a forth.
