Can friends be and how can I not?
(1) How can one thin female friend tell if another thin female friend is jealous that the other female friend is thin as well.
(2) How can I not get angry with my mom when she talks on top of me talking when I am trying to explain something to her. My mom is in her 80's and I am in my 50's. For example: My mom needed stock quotes off the Internet. And when I found the quotes and wanted to copy the quotes in Excel which I did she saw that some of the zero's were missing in the amounts of one of the six columns. And when I tried to explain to her that I had to adjust the format so the zero's appear she would not let me talk and we had a fight. My mom acts sometimes like a little kid who ...

being outgoing, meeting new people

alright so im eighteen years old. female.
well i've always been an inbetween girl if thats what you want to call it. i'm not the shy one, but i'm also not the very outgoing on either. i go out and do things with my friends. but i don't really like going to like a party with a friend if i'm not going to know anyone. i hate being like this! one of my best friends is the complete opposite. she will go anywhere and do whatever even if she is not going to know anyone. i wish i was like that! but i know if i went somewhere, i would just sit there awkwardly not saying anything and i hate putting myself in a position like that. is there any way that i could be more open to meeting new people? it's not that i dont like meeting new people, i'm...

Why do I become distant?

If I become closer with a guy, and our relationship might be more than just a friendship, without thinking about it, I become quite distant from the guy.
It also happens when I'm not sure if the guy is interested or not, but we're being flirty with each other.
Why does this happen?

I was supposed to go to my friend's sweet 16 this past weekend at some hotel. Well I wound up not going because I got mad sick. So I get to school today and my friend, who was at my bffs sweet 16, told me that my bff [the one who turned 16] invited 5 guys up to the suite. Here is my situation ok here I am finally in a relationship with a great guy who is always there for me and we have been going out for four and a half months we have known each other ever since high school and found each other again on myspace. So far things are going good. Then there is this ohter guy a guy I have known since the 3rd grade and have liked since then we went to high school together too. We lost touch after we graduated which was 2000. Boy Won't Leave Us Alone

I am 13 and in seventh grade. I sit with a group of nice people at lunch, except for one. "Grady" insults us, cries, yells at us for minor things, and has come right out and said he sits with us only because he likes to annoy us. Once, he started crying on purpose so we would feel bad and sit with him.
We have tried moving to a different table, ignoring him and being unpleasant so he wouldn't want to sit with us. Most of us have known Grady all through grade school, and we have had enough of his crying and yelling at us for no reason. We just want our space. Do you have any suggestions on how to get Grady to leave us alone? Most of us have classes with him, so avoiding him is not an option.

my bestfriend is called chloe she's the best.
but we used to have another friend called paige who became a bully.
she had a cousin called tania that came to my school i thought she was nice at first until the more she embraced the school the more chloe began to be her bestfriend and leave me out of it,like i wasn't alive .Until one day my mum told me that my bestfriend was caught on cctv at a shop stealing sweets i saw the tape and got abit upset because she was my bestfriend i thought she would be normal but no she wasn't.

One of my friends wants myself and 2 other girls to go to a concert this weekend for her birthday. However, there is a Christmas party at one of my mom's friends house that i go to every year the same day as this concert. I did not make a commitment to go to the christmas party but it was kind of a given that I would go considering i go every year. My best friend says she can't go to the concert without me because she has a curefew and would have no where to stay after if I didn't go ( the plan was to let all the girls stay at my house if I decide to go). I'm 21 and go to University the girl is the same. I've known a girl at my university for about 3 years. I have mixed feelings about her, and sometimes I wonder what it would be like if we were more then friends. I'm not sure if I should go for a romantic relationship, or if I should keep her as a friend. I'm positive that she likes me, and I know that she would probably have a relationship if I asked. I don't want to ruin a friendship though if things don't work out. I've gotten mixed reviews from friends of mine, some saying they don't understand why I don't go out with her, and others agree with me and say that since I've known her so long it might be better to just be friends. Is it wrong, as a girl, to continue to hang out with guys that I know are probably trying to figure out how to sleep with me? I know there's no emotional strings...they just want the physical. I still hang out with them though because I think they're fun. I'd never do anything with them because I have a boyfriend and I just blow off their comments and requests. I've also told them that I'm not going to cross the friendship line with them. Is it okay to still hang out with them? My boyfriend knows some of them but he doesn't know that they well...want me. Some are his friends. I just think theyre fun people and I know I wouldn't hurt my boyfriend that way. Everyone is 18-20 in age.

Okay, so last year in 8th grade I had a group of 5 of my best friends. We always hung out and told each other everything. Now I'm in high school and the 2 middle schools combined. I have a lot of friends, I'm cool with almost everyone in the grade. I have really good friends in scattered groups. But I have one problem. I've really been excluded from my circle of best friends. We'll talk in school and hug sometimes, but nothing else. They don't tell me anything anymore, they don't call me or text unless it's for homework help. They don't invite me to hang out. I have a friend who I've never met - we're pen pals - but whom I used to talk to on the phone at least once a day. About five months ago she lost her temper with me for a very stupid reason and started calling me names online, on various blog sites. I asked her stop, she would for a day or two and then start back up again. She goes through this period of "I'm sorry" and I want to believe her, so I give her another chance, but then the name calling starts up again. She's done this four times now. Firstly, I'm more after an opinion than advice. But any advice for this situation would be greatly appreciated.
Okay, so this is my first relationship. And I like to think of myself as not one who gets jealous easily.
