Getting a second cat.

Posted Tuesday May 31 2011, 7:27 pm

16F.

Hey! Okay, my best friend has a cat who gave birth to kittens a month or two ago. She's looking for homes for them. I'm extremely interested, but I need to convince my dad.

-I only live with my dad.
-I already have two other fully grown cats and a hedgehog.

My two other cats are twins, brother and sister. They roam the house all day every day. My hedgehog is in a cage all day everyday, unless I take him out to play.

Now, I told my dad I could pay for any vet bills, (De-clawing, getting it fixed) I have $6,000 in the bank.
In the past we tried to bring a new kitten home once, but it didn't work out well at all because it was a nasty cat. And it mainly just got in...

Red eared slider doesn't like to swim

Posted Sunday May 29 2011, 6:10 pm

I have had my RES for about 3 months. He was first in a really small tank because he was really small but I have upgraded to a 20 galling tank. The water depth is at about 4 inches and he just walks on the floor of the tank and doesn't swim. I know he knows how I guess he's lazy. How do I get him swimming

2 week kitten losing fur

Posted Wednesday May 11 2011, 1:58 pm

I have 3 two week old kittens, and they are molting alot, so much they are going bald. :( I've had kittens this young before, and they never losed their fur. Their mum sadly died when they were one week old, so we've been feeding them special milk that we got from the pet store? Would this cause them to lose fur? If not, any idead what is? Thanks

My dog was attacked.

Posted Monday April 11 2011, 5:07 am

Hi. I was taking my dog for a walk and a big dog came and started biting it and attacking it. I was trying to stop it but I couldn't. The only reason it stopped was because my dog got off the leash and started running away.

Now i'm really scared to take it for a walk. And i might be getting a job as a dog walker, so i don't know how to get over my fears. :(

Please help!

puppy help...

Posted Sunday April 3 2011, 8:44 pm

I just got a new Boxer puppy. Shes 3 and a half months old, and she used to live with her two parents and 5 other dogs which she got to play with everyday. So I know it's hard for her to not always have someone to play with. Today, (Sunday) I spent the day with her and she was mostly outside with me or sleeping on my lap inside. The only issue is that my mom doesn't want her walking around inside the house (but when she's not home, I let her) because she can't deal with the puppy peeing and pooping all over. So, sometimes, we put her crate in the garage which is heated (we don't keep cars in there.)She also sleeps in there at night. I put her in there and tied her leash to her cage so she could move around a few feet surrounding her cage. I...

My kitty seems to have flaky skin.

Posted Friday April 1 2011, 10:47 pm

Hey everyone! I have a beautiful black short haired cat who's turning 3 in two weeks. She's very happy, very healthy, very loved, and I brush her fur almost daily, and pet and scritch and cuddle her, like, constantly. She's kind of really spoiled...but it's just me and her here, so we're both okay with that. ^_^
Anyway.
As the subject says, she keeps getting these flakes of dry skin all over her back, like a human with dandruff. Her hair is slightly coarser there. The rest of her is, like, ridiculously soft (hence all the cuddling). I have eczema, so my brain automatically goes, "Is there some kind of cat-zema?"
...
Is there?
Has anyone else's cat has this problem? How did you treat/fix the flakiness?

Posted Sunday March 27 2011, 2:28 pm

hey guys! I'm a complete dog lover, I have four dogs currently, well my family does. I have a chihuahua thats mine and I take care of her. well anyways. Me and my boyfriend have three "kids" (dogs) my chihuahua and his two rotties. I want to get an English Mastiff, my dream dog. Our big dog at my house is part mastiff and hes a big baby!
So my questions are..
-do they get a lot with different dogs well? Considering she/he will be around the two rotties and will grow up with my chihuahua, big dog, yorkie and another chihuahua.
-How big can it get? Like pound and tallness wise? I'm only 5'3 and will be walking them! lol
-How much food will it eat?
-and are they really huge babies or is it just how...
