Cheerleading

Posted Thursday March 26 2009, 5:32 pm

My friend and I want to cheer next year REALLY badly. There's a couple of things.

One, we have to go to camp to have a chance at the squad, and we need $600. how do we get $600 in 3 or 4 months?

Two, most of the people there are experienced for at least 1 year. I have no cheer experience. Any thoughts to improve/learn?

Three, the thing we do have going is that we've been dancing for 10 years. We thought that might help. How can we incorporate that to help?

Four, we have no experience, like I said, just dancing. How can we learn at no cost?

Any other advice?

Thanks!

Running Track!

Posted Wednesday March 25 2009, 8:54 pm

I decided that I wanted to be one of the managers for track. Then, I changed my mind and wanted to try track. :] so if I want to stick with it, my coaches/teachers said they would let me. Today was my first track practice though. At first, I felt like I was gonna die, pass out, or throw up! Then later on, it was ok I guess. I'm kind of sad though, because everyone did the 400 meter. (I think it was meters?) The problem was, I couldn't keep running because this was like the second time my calf or leg like started hurting. It just felt strange... It felt like my muscles were cramping up. Then again, I don't really know much about fitness. Whenever I lifted my foot, or walked, it felt like my muscles were tightening up or something. Does anyon...

little boy has a crush on me

Posted Friday March 20 2009, 5:37 pm

Well I'm 18/F, and this adorable thirteen year old little boy has a crush on me =/

I am way too old for him and I want him to stop liking me without hurting his feelings, because he is the sweetest cutest kid ever. We do a sport together, so I don't have an option of avoiding him or ignoring him, because we are on the same team so we are teammates and I talk to him a lot and I enjoy talking to him. I see him like a little brother.

What should I do? He hasn't said he had a crush on me, but it is completely obvious, even a blind person would be able to tell that he does. Oh, and he is a super sensitive kid. Should I just pretend that he doesn't like me and not say/do anything about it? But at the same time I don...

Knee troubles

Posted Saturday March 14 2009, 9:28 pm

I play softball all the time. ive been told i play too much. since its winter now i go inside so i can still play. anyway

a couple of weeks ago my knee was acting up so my parents took me to the doctor to see if anything was wrong. my doctor (who happens to be the most paranoid person i know) told us to go the hospital. when we got there they did tons of work on my knee and i got an MRI. 4 hours after we got there we found out i had torn my ACL. we've obviously seen more then one doctor about it and two out of the three said that i probably wont be able to play again. they told me that i could swim. i mean swimming isnt bad .... but i love softball ..... any suggestions about dealing with this loss...or any other sports i can...

surfing

Posted Monday March 9 2009, 8:38 pm

i want to start surfing, i'm 17 though. would that be too late to start?? because, like ballet, if start late it'd be kinda impossible because you wouldn't be as flexible or something.. and are there any exercises i can do to make the first experience on a surf board easier? thanks.

Indycar (IRL) Screensaver and Champ Car Torrents.

Posted Sunday March 8 2009, 10:02 pm

I was wondering if anyone knew where to get a screen saver of current Indycar (IRL) drivers, cars etc. for a MAC. I'm interested in Indy 500 winners as well as Marco Andretti, Scott Dixon, Tony Kanaan, Sebastien Bourdais, Will Power, Danica Patrick. This also needs to be free to download.

Secondly, can someone help me find torrents for the 2002 Molson Indy Toronto as well as past IRL and Champ Car races. The above race is important to me as I was there and just out of the hospital. I want to see it again as my memories are fading.

You can rate this a 1 if you like or a 2 but I ask you hold off on doing so to allow for answers. Someone here is a fellow fan in the know on this.

Back tuck tumbling!

Posted Saturday February 28 2009, 4:45 pm

I have a standing back handspring, round off back handspring, and round off double back handspring by myself. I am trying to at least have my round off back handspring tuck with a SPOT for tryouts, in about a month.

I am taking private classes for an hour to 2 hours a week. I have my bhs back tuck on the tramp by myself, which of course is a lot easier.

If I am realllly committed and determined, do you think i could at least have it with a spot for tryouts? The coach will spot us if we need. My tumbling coach says my bhs are really good, but my round offs are usually a bit sideways haha. Thanks!
