Is it normal that I don't have a super-close best friend? I used to, but she got into drugs. Long story short- we went our own ways.
My mom likes to remind me all the time that I don't have a best friend. But, honestly, people just let me down a lot so I've learned not to depend on them.
Is it weird, that a 16 year old girl, doesn't have a close friend?

I seem to scream, "Walk all over me!" All my friends do it, and people I'm not so close to. I'm always getting canceled on or "I'll be late" type of stuff. Its only started a few months ago, but its starting to get on my nerves. In fact, my closest friend does it the most. When I talk to her about it, she acts all bitchy and it makes me feel like I've done something wrong.
Should I say something to people? And if I should, what would I even begin to say?

Alright, so I'm pretty good friends with this dude. We have a lot of the same interests, yet lots of differences, of course. lol, it seems we share some of the same problems, too. But, anyways, I really like him as more than a friend, yet he ticks me off endlessly. He can even be a jerk sometimes, but I can, too. Yet, for some reason, I still like him.
He asked me if I wanted to hook up with him a few weeks back, but nothing has really happened, and he said to keep it on the lowdown. But what really ticks me off is how he has all of these pet names for his other friends that are girls and treats them, well, like a guy would treat a girl, I guess. Are white people dirty?

I was out with some of my best friends yesterday. Some of my friends are black and others are Mexican (yes, from Mexico) and I am white. I'm the only white girl of the group.
Anyway, we were walking and talking and the racial subjects came up because I said this guy that passed us was really hot (and he was white). They were like, "Ewww...gross!" and so I asked them why they thought he was not hot.
All of them agreed that "my" race was nasty. They said that white people are dirty. I shrugged it off (though I was offended) in the end but then I got to thinking...
Do you think my friends think I'm dirty?
Why would they think that Caucasians are dirty people anyway?...

my friend has been with her bf for like 4 monthes now and he pretty much rapped her. she was broken in a million pieces and i was the only one there for her. it was horrible it hurt me to see her go through all the pain!
to make it worse she went back to him! cos he didnt want to be alone... shes 18 and works full time, shes not that close with her mum or her sister and she told me if she broke up with him that would make her feel lost and empty.
i told her how i felt and that i dont trust him anymore and dont want to see him. she understood why. i cant get how she just forgave him like that! i hate him for hurting her it still makes me cry cos of how broken he made her.

Alot of my friends are virgins, but I'm not. I've had a few sexual relations actually. I don't feel the need to defend myself or feel bad about it because I'm 21 and on the right path in life. Now, my best friend is becoming good friends with one girl who hates me and is also a virgin! For the first time in my life, I feel slutty. They basically advertise to everyone how "good" they are and I know this other girl will talk bad about me to my best friend. My best friend has never judged me, but I feel like she will now. It's my life and I feel like they have this virgin club going on, and I'll just be left out. What should I do? Let this all go or salvage my friendship?

hia, well ive known my bestfriend (louise) since we was in infants and now were in seniors + when we left in year 6 we didnt start talking again til a while ago - year 8 (sorry if this is confusing!). there was a girl.. ellie; who lived near her house + they become really good friends in the space of time i didnt speak to her and now there like bestfriends but about 7 months ago ellie moved faraway now shes come back and when she was there louise slagged ellie of to me 24/7 and she was with me all the time and she said to me when ellie moves back it wont be the same, we dont even talk on msn and when i do see her i dont like looking at her. and she promised me wen she moved back this wasnt going to happen and now ellies back here louise doe...

i have a friend..we really close but she has another friend.my friend friend and i are not very friendly with each other. i mean we do not like each other that much. Anyway, my friend always hang out with her friend, and she does not hit me be or text me except if she depresst, need something, or if her friend hurt her. And i feel like i am not in the picture except if she need something from me or if there is no one she has to go to. so is she really a close friend for me or just someone who want to use me whenever she want?

I am part of a group of people who read our local newspaper online and comment on the news of the day in the public forums provided. It's great fun and offers an excellent place to interact with others.
Some of us have become close, exchanging e-mails and chat messages. One of the women has suggested we all get together at a local watering hole and meet each other, and the gang has agreed.
I would love to join in, but the problem is that the persona I built online is that of a hunky, handsome young man -- including a pilfered photo I posted as "me" on my profile. Needless to say, he is NOT me. I am a 54-year-old, chubby, graying man who wears glasses.

I have been very good friends with a boy(let's name him D) and a girl(let's name her M).

My friend is having her 16th birthday. Since shes sorta childish, I thought it would be fun and silly to do child games despite our age. What kind of games would you consider for us to play? There are going to be about 12 but we can always split into groups and so on. I already have Pin the Tail on the Donkey and Musical Chairs. Any other ideas?

17/f. I recently found out that one of my really good guy friends (17/m) likes me a lot. I don't see him as anything more than a friend, though. My problem is that we have a really close group of friends (there are 6 of us who hang out all the time), and I don't want to let things get out of hand and make things awkward. Okay, so I have two friends, A and B. They're 'best friends'. The reason i put it in quotes is because it doesn't seem like they're REAL best friends. Like there friends but are 'best' friends for the label.
Anyway, well A and me got into a fight. I have anger problems so when I get mad I get really mad, and so I tried to let some distence go between me and A so that I would get over it and we would never get to the whole me screaming and yelling stage. So there's this guy I know from another school. One day, he was texting me about how he didn't have a date to an upcoming school dance. Without thinking, I said, "take me!" So then he asked me. However, he's soooo annoying! He acts like he's ghetto and he's not and when he texts me he says stuff like "eeyyyyy yoo wusss good." and stuff like that. It drives me nuts. I've hung out with him once in the summer, and he can be fun and chill when he's not acting like he's ghetto, but he does it to impress me, and it doesn't impress me at all! I don't really want to go to the dance with him anymore, but I can't say no after I told him to take me, so what should I do?

Ok abouta year ago this guy messaged me on myspace. I went to his page and decided that I didn't know him so I just told him that I didn't know him and then ignored him.
A year passes by and about a half of a month ago he messaged me again. He said "I like it to write to u because u had my old url and I thought that maybe we could be friends". So I did some research on him.
I looked on his myspace and learned that it was a musician's account. He is a musician and he lives in Germany.(I listened to some of his songs and they really aren't that bad. I especially liked travelogue and hard to be a girl).

I love my best friend, we'll name her Cassie, but she has no problem being a blabbermouth when I tell her things. I've told two of my closest friends and my cousin about how I like my guyfriend from school. Only one of those close friends goes to my school and Cassie is from another school. There's this new foreign-exchange student in my Spanish class. He's from Argentina (haha ironic, I know) and is living here with his cousin for three months. When he first came, all the girls flipped out because he's really cute, and the guys talked to him, too. However, now that everyone's used to him, not many kids talk to him. My teacher asked me to strike up some conversations with him because she know I'd be friendly. I also want to be friends with him. I've talked to him almost everyday that he's been here, but it's hard to do. I want to speak to him in Spanish so I can get better, but I don't know what to say!
